Simple enough to wing, but with depth for a higher skill ceiling.
It’s a great game even if you are not really good at FPS games. You play and move as a team, following a strategy. I really feel the WW1 atmosphere and the trench warfare in this game. This game definitely needs a DLC or something that includes the Caucasian Front, where the Turkish and Russian armies fought against each other. That would be great, especially for the many players who are bored of playing the Russo-German War again and again and again. We need the Turkish-Russian Front. Be the first to bring the Turkish-Russian Front to a major WW1 FPS. I want to hear Turkish and Russian curses and swearings in the maps full of snows and rocky mountains...

Another good game by blackmill games, i like the attention to detail, the new revive system, the unexplored front, and the new mg placement mechanic, but where it lacks is that most maps are made for long range cross fires. You’ll find yourself getting picked off by snipers most of the times and small arms are obsolete (there’s like only 14 bullets for a pistol while Isonzo had like 60) . And I like to play on max fov because the rifle gets further away from me and I can see better but turning it on max fov in Gallipoli has little to no effect on rifle visibility. And lastly I feel the suppression is too much to the point where it’s annoying. Bots are good tho. I don’t like how you can’t continuously spawn on your squad mates like Isonzo. Makes it a bit of a walking simulator especially when most guns one tap you.
artillery is way too powerful on the maps otherwise its good. i liked isonzo better tho
It's good
The controls and character movement feel painfully slow. Reloading, cycling the rifle, and basically every weapon interaction takes so long that I genuinely feel like I could operate the rifle faster myself if I were actually in the trenches. The maps look good and I like the more corridor-like, confined layouts. But constantly being bombarded by mortars became extremely exhausting. Having this much artillery in such tight spaces, constantly killing the player and interrupting the flow, is certainly one of the more questionable game design decisions I've experienced. The weapon handling is another major issue. Even while idle, the rifle moves up and down so much that it feels like you're fighting the weapon rather than aiming it. Shooting feels incredibly heavy and unresponsive, and the bullets don't seem to consistently go where you're aiming. Realistically, these rifles weren't nearly this difficult to control. As for immersion, there's very little here. It feels like an old game formula with some assets swapped out and a new setting placed on top. The environments look nice, but visually impressive assets alone don't create immersion. The first 30 minutes were actually quite enjoyable. After that, though, the experience becomes tiring and exhausting. Everything moves so slowly that you never really get that high-tempo, chaotic charge-and-counterattack feeling you would expect from a WWI game. Compared to something like Battlefield 1, the combat here feels much more sluggish and exhausting than exciting. There is potential here, especially in the maps and atmosphere, but the slow movement, sluggish weapon handling, excessive mortar spam, and lack of immersion ultimately made the game more frustrating than fun for me.
Unplayable until support added for locked Mouse in screen modes. Or anyone that has multiple displays.
One of the best WW1 FPS games out there. Everyone has to work together to take objectives or to even have a chance at winning. Many different classes with access to different weaponry depending on faction and class.
