About
Hell is Us is a 3rd-person action-adventure game that combines intense melee combat with the thrill of exploration. Explore a semi-open world to find answers to your questions and face mysterious creatures all along your journey.
As well as the civil war dividing the country, the region is suffering from a mysterious calamity, which has given rise to supernatural creatures that no modern weapon can defeat. Your drone and sword from a different age are your faithful allies as you cut a path through lands infested with terrifying chimeras and try to unravel the mystery of their appearance.
No map, no compass, no quest markers: following your instincts is part of the adventure. Enjoy a unique experience that uses innovative writing and level design to let you make your own decisions and follow your instincts as you explore. Your discoveries are yours alone.
Swords, spears and axes: a wide range of weapons forged specially for fighting these supernatural creatures is available. You will need to learn how to fight these monsters and use your drone wisely to stay alive.
''The central theme of Hell is Us is that human violence is a perpetual cycle fueled by human emotions and passions.'' – Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, Creative Director

Reviews
I really enjoyed this game. Its beautiful. The story is very interesting and the world building is superb. The lack of a map was not a problem. Being an older gamer it was not an issue. Especially with the back tracking you do, you get a good feel for where things are at and how to get around after a bit of searching for loot. The clue system is really cool. I found almost everything by the end of my first run. I did fumble one set of good deeds forgetting that I had an item on me, not the end of the world. Combat is a little bit of a slog. Youre not as nimble as your foes and it wouldve been a little more fun if combat had shaped up a little differently, but the way it was did keep it challenging, which is a positive. I found myself sticking to what worked for me and my playstyle and i made it all the way through to the end. I highly recommend the game if you have a little patience and slow down a bit to enjoy it.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really want to like this game. The atmosphere is great and it seems like it has a good story going. But the combat is frustratingly floaty with little sense of control. It's like I'm fighting with getting my character to do the moves I am trying to perform, in the direction I want to perform it. The lock-on system is very hit and miss, as it mostly doesn't seem to work. Games like Zelda, etc. seem to track to the mob that's in the center of your camera, and/or the closest one. This feels random when it wants to. This is especially annoying in a game where you need to kill mobs in a specific order.
You won't find any hand holding here. No map, no waypoint, no quest log. Only a checklist of things you started and things you finished. You need to read notes you pick to find the solutions and secrets but the game sort them clearly which are useful or only lore. Souls-lite game with a lot of puzzle a self healing mechanic with a well timed activation that favor offense. Very good atmosphere with a well fitted soundtrack. I only have two negative things to say. Enemies variety is low, there will be stronger versions that have different attacks but otherwise you fight the same enemies the whole game. If you aim for the achievements there is a lot of missables because your actions can kill many of the NPCs. Most are obvious, make sure to explore well and don't advance the main story too fast but there are a couple that you could clearly miss, like opening a door before meeting an NPCs or giving an item before finishing other NPCs quests. At least there is a spoiler free guide online for that.
Surprisingly solid game. Definitely worth it for the price. It doesn't hold your hand, which makes it all the more satisfying when you solve a puzzle and discover more of the story.
Amazing game, but disappointed that the end game pillar spawning bug was never fixed. I hope the upcoming update addresses this issue.
I thought I'd take a chance on a new experience and ended up finding one of my favorite games of the year! The combat of Hell is Us is fun, but could use some more enemy variety. What we're mostly here for is the puzzles and exploration. The game hits a sweet spot with its puzzles where I didn't get stuck any individual puzzle, but I still felt super smart whenever I solved one. The atmosphere is fantastic if depressing. Our character is solving mysteries and fighting monsters while everyone around him is busy fight a brutal religious civil war that complicates his life every step of the way. I can't stop myself from recommending this game to anyone who is even remotely interested in it.
Świat tej gry jest niewiarygodnie złożony i przemyślany. Odkrywanie historii Hadei jest naprawdę satysfakcjonujące,
If you do not like using a controller do not buy this game! Typical console port, I should know better by now
I have tried souls-like before, though few. I could never come to grips with the timing, combat, puzzles, etc. This is the third I have tried and now I am in love. This game is phenomenal and I cannot begin to express how much fun I had playing it. The story is entrancing, dark, and not without moments of humor. The sounds are magnificent: distorted growls, cries, and screams assault the senses. Then there are the visuals; extraordinary! The way the walkers move is abhorrent and sensual all at once. The controls are smooth throughout. Combat is a lot of fun and incredibly satisfying when parrying or dodging. I love the characters, the lore, and the environments you get to explore. I found myself often frustrated with the target prioritization; sometimes a quick switch would leave me targeting the very farthest enemy rather than the one immediately starting to attack. The only other down side was the "element" system which did not seem to make a difference in play. I acquired mounds of buffs/debuffs for Rage, Terror, Grief, and ecstasy, but I never seemed to need them. Overall this is a truly magnificent game and I would highly recommend it!
immersive Welt, guter Soundtrack - schoen dystopisch. Keine Questmarker, man muss mitdenken, selbst Notizen machen, keine interaktive Karte.
