About
Hell is Us is a 3rd-person action-adventure game that combines intense melee combat with the thrill of exploration. Explore a semi-open world to find answers to your questions and face mysterious creatures all along your journey.
As well as the civil war dividing the country, the region is suffering from a mysterious calamity, which has given rise to supernatural creatures that no modern weapon can defeat. Your drone and sword from a different age are your faithful allies as you cut a path through lands infested with terrifying chimeras and try to unravel the mystery of their appearance.
No map, no compass, no quest markers: following your instincts is part of the adventure. Enjoy a unique experience that uses innovative writing and level design to let you make your own decisions and follow your instincts as you explore. Your discoveries are yours alone.
Swords, spears and axes: a wide range of weapons forged specially for fighting these supernatural creatures is available. You will need to learn how to fight these monsters and use your drone wisely to stay alive.
''The central theme of Hell is Us is that human violence is a perpetual cycle fueled by human emotions and passions.'' – Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, Creative Director

Reviews
Been wanting to try this one out since release but never got to it, until this $20 sale. Not a fan of "floaty" characters to control, but other than that, this game is fantastic. Just finished it last night. Its a difficult game, more in the sense of puzzles and keeping track of "quests" on your own. No quest markers on what to do next. You need to explore on your own and I loved every second of it. Again, it can get very difficult. - Graphics: Great - Art Direction: Good - Music: Super spooky atmosphere, fits perfectly - Sound design: Great - Gameplay: 60% puzzles, 40% fighting - Story: Awesome
Pues no es muy dificil, no tiene mapa solo brujula. la historia algo entretenida, la pelea muy basica en general un juego doble AA con excelentes paisajes. PD: algo pesadito sin dlss

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great atmosphere. Story had me curious where it would go. Love the difficulty options. Would definitely recommend.
Not really a soulslike. Shares more similarities with something like The Witcher 2 in its level structure and approach to combat, and a little bit of Outer Wilds in how you figure out the story and world around you, connecting dots. It does however have that Soulsborne sense of "here's the game, play it". Few cutscenes, basically nothing that takes control away from the player, but there is a lot of reading required to fully appreciate it. Very captivating, grounded story that works well. Game's not flawless of course. There are very few enemies (which I think is fine if you don't approach it like a soulslike). A few too many puzzles revolved around finding a piece of paper with the right information on which levers to pull/buttons to push. I think the game would've been better if they cut out the lymbic rod chests entirely since it's mostly just backtracking or not engaging. I want more games like this. You won't find too many so if you like mysteries and unraveling a complex world and its history, with a light focus on combat, you should definitely give Hell is Us a chance.
I loved this. The best free range exploration I've seen in ages. Environmental storytelling, no yellow paint, no quest markers. Real discovery. Awesome. Combat isn't anything to write home about, but it doesn't add much friction to the experience. Highly recommend checking it out.
This is a difficult game to recommend, after finishing. I had a blast with it for 90% of my time with it, with some very annoying aspects that were fine to overlook in the grand scheme of things. The game is very adjustable in combat difficulty, but not as much in puzzle/exploration requirements, so I would only recommend it for fans of the latter. The worldbuilding is fascinating, and the vibe is quite unmatched. There are several breathtaking visuals. The writing in abundant (really, there is A LOT you will have to read, and pay attention to.) All of these are reasons why I was enjoying the game so much, being very immersed. That is also why I have a big, big caveat: the ending. More detailed complaint without going into story specifics:
After making us so invested in this world, writing so much lore, intricate detailed entries and relics and books, crafting amazing ambient storytelling, the ending was a tremendous fumble. It felt rushed, confusing, bizarre in it's complete tone shift. The entire final sequence is a rush of painful cliches, unexplainable flashy action ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and suddenly it's over. There's no post-credits epilogue, either, where you get to explore the world post-end. It'll roll you back to finish collecting stuff, but the story ends like that, flashy nonsense cutscenes. It felt like a spit on the face of all the writing that came before it.
So, in summary, I recommend the game for those who will enjoy the process: exploring, investigating, interesting lore and worldbuilding, and gorgeous scenery. But be aware that if you care about the writing, the ending will likely be a letdown. Enjoy the journey, instead.
el juego presenta barios bus estoy jugando en la segunda parte de historia en el pueblo y corro un poco y peleo y me expusa
7/10 Combat is semi-soulslike, but after about 5-10 hours of gameplay you'll probably only be blocking and parrying and ignoring the dodge button. There's 4 main type of enemies you'll be fighting with 4 more difficult types that function as boss and miniboss fights. At first, it's difficult to predict their moves and you'll get hit a lot, but I had fun learning the different rhythms and appreciated the difficulty spikes in the mid and late game. The other half of the game is focused on story and puzzles. The puzzles aren't super hard, but you definitely need to be reading the notes and paying attention. They're difficult enough that you'll feel clever when you figure them out. I appreciate the the devs not holding my hand the whole time and letting me figure things out at my own speed. The story is interesting but the presentation is awkward. Every NPC you talk to immediately begins either trauma dumping or explaining an issue they have that you may or may not be able to fix. there's no organic conversation with NPCs. The devs seem more focused on presenting the themes of the story rather than writing a story that with organic dialogue. There was also a point about halfwy through the game I was rolling my eyes because of the same theme being presented over and over again (yes, yes... violence begets violence, constant cycles of violence, I get it!). One disappointing thing was the ending (no spoilers). almost nothing gets explained... Which is okay in some stories to leave certain details to the imagination, but if you present some very important details in the story, don't immediately cut it off 5 mins after showing it. It seems like they were forced to end the story quickly, but tried to pull it off as a cliffhanger that could be explained in a sequel. It just felt so abrupt. Ultimately I give it a 7/10 If you like somewhat difficult combat and are patient enough to read notes and solve puzzles on your own, try it out.
