The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
AVIS YAKUZA KIWAMI 3
POINTS POSITIFS

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 6: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Removed content: -There is no country club golfing -The recasts were unnecessary (WHERE IS MY RIKIYA FROM REMASTERED??? :( ), I don't think I need to go into Kanda. -Tons of substories were removed (there's 118 substories in Remastered, only 31 present here) -The said substories that are in the game are pathetically short -No hitman missions (they've been replaced with Reaper missions, but they don't have the same chemistry as the hitmen from Remastered) -Tons of heat actions removed -No revelations -No masters, such as Komaki and Walmart Doc Brown from the original game are not here -Dragon finishers have been simplified -No hostess clubs, including the substory where you manage one -About 20% of Ryukyu was removed -A LOT of Chapter 10's content was removed. -The ending was changed, I won't spoil it here, but a character's death was retconned, makes Yakuza 4 confusing for those going directly into that game after playing this version specifically. Other things I didn't like: -The biker gang storyline because it's repetitive and the AI is very uncooperative most of the time that you need to go and save them. -The various changes I previously mentioned -The LaLa buddy system, sort of like friends system from Infinite Wealth and Pirate Yakuza, just made more tedious -Domestic violence plays a role in one of the substories -The minigames are simplified and taken from previous dragon engine Yakuza games, nothing new to see here. Things I did like -Dark Ties was okay -Runs well, even on older systems like mine -Managing Morning Glory was wholesome and the minigames were fun -The Japanese voice acting was alright. -Ryukyu is nice to look at -The coliseum is fun -Some of the music remixes from the original game are nice. I absolutely cannot recommend this version of the game. This is a very lazy remake and a huge disappointment. Screw Sega for delisting Y3 Remastered, you can technically still buy it, but the bundle you need to buy it on is expensive unless it's on sale. I loved Yakuza 3 Remastered, but I was disgusted with how this remake was handled and eventually released. I didn't want to believe the reviewers and I wanted to give my own perspective on it, but now that I did, it's completely understandable why the reviews say what they are.
Feels a bit of downgrade compared to Kiwami 2, though it's decent nonetheless with all those new reworks. Dark ties main story is the best part of it.
Finally 100%'d this, so I feel like I can give an honest review. ---- Kiwami 3 - 6/10 Dark Ties - 8/10 ---- Its a fun game to play. Coming from playing the remastered Yakuza 3 in the last year, it helped it beat the blockuza allegations, but honestly what gets me with these games is the depth of the storytelling and the emotion it purveys. This game had some artistic changes to really make a LOT of the heavy blows of this story feel not so bad, and went pretty far to change some outcomes. I didn't like all the things they changed, but I really liked some bits. The most enjoyable part of this game wasn't Kiwami 3, because it felt like a dolled up what if with a new cast, and forced interactions. It was 1000% Dark Ties, which you can only appreciate because of Kiwami 3. The amount of fresh new content here was really nice to see. You get to be the dark horse Mine, finally learn more about his backstory and see the world through his eyes. What a good time, with great minigames to focus on between Hell and trying to make Kanda's reputation not completely ♥♥♥♥. Some really funny moments here and there, but man that story made me love Daigo and Mine that much more as characters. Glad I spent the time to 100%, came at a time where I wasn't doing well with my health and had really nothing better to do. Made that time enjoyable, but wouldn't recommend it to everyone. Hard to come off the high of YK2, might not be where I wanted the story to go but this is a good story to continue nonetheless.
Despite all the controversies, it’s not a perfect remake, but it’s a decent one. They removed a lot of content from the original, which I don’t like. I’m also not a fan of the upgrading system in this game. The combat is fine, but it has some flaws, and the new style is kind of boring to use. Also, ♥♥♥♥ whoever created the Bad Boy Dragon mini-game—I hate it so much. That said, I do like some of the new cutscenes they included, especially the ones with Hamazaki. As for Dark Ties, it was shorter than I expected, but it was still good. I really liked the scenes with Mine and Daigo, and the combat there is really great. Overall, I wish they would do more content like Dark Ties because I really enjoyed it. In the end, I would recommend getting this game—but get it on sale.
This is quite a controversial release for sure, Yakuza 3 has always been seen as the "worst" in the series, however a bad Yakuza game in general is still a good game overall! I will also be reviewing this game as it is and not comparing to the original, or taking into account the controversy. Yakuza Kiwami 3 overall is a nice package, it took me around 50 hours to 100% the game with all achievements, my only main problem was the game had some issues with loading environments at times and had some frame hiccups, this is the first Yakuza game to have this issue on my rig, it was annoying at times but not too game breaking, however some cutscenes did glitch out, and the karaoke minigame visuals would freeze, and the button prompts would stutter at times. The standard Yakuza 3 story is pretty good overall, same old as the original, with slight changes in cast and side content, however for me the real star of the show is the Dark Ties game, where you play as Mine, it has a solid 10 hours or so of content, its own battle arena and dungeon mode, and the storyline is pretty good too, plus its a new take for those who played the original Yakuza 3. Overall, I would suggest picking this game up on sale if you wish to experience it, or are itching for some more Yakuza content. It is not the best in the series and certainly has its issues, however I still had a blast with the minigames, combat and playing some of those classic arcade games too! Buy on sale!
slop. don't bother playing this game unless this series permanently damaged your dopamine receptors.
