For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Chaosbane — классическая hack'n'slash ARPG.

The amount of people reviewing this game and claiming there is no build freedom must not know what that even means, This game is heavily inspired by Diablo 3 where you unlock new abilities as you level up and must pick and choose which ones to use. You can swap them around at any time giving you plenty of freedom. There are tons of build variations with differing playstyles for each character. It's not the best game ever made by any stretch but "not even worth it for 3 bucks" is one hell of a bad review for something I would of been fine paying full price. And i bought it for less than 2 dollars! Chaosbane does not deserve it's mixed rating it's a good time especially if it's on sale for dirt cheap. I can't figure out what these ARPG enjoyers are expecting out of their games. They aren't deep experiences no matter which one you play.
Every act has 1 map that you keep repeating until you reach the final boss and kill it. The game had potential but missed opportunity to make it better. I just play it because I am bored, do not buy it unless you feel the same, but only on huge discount.
I love Diablo 2, not the 3 or 4 , and Chaosbane to me it's similar to Diablo 2 but in a warhammer world, witch i also love, so i love Warhammer: Chaosbane . :)
For a 2.99 during sales is a total must to have. As a father who has basically zero Me time I can assure you this game is worth playing, if you are a no lifter with tons of spare time this game won't feet you but if you are like me and can't afford to spend dozens of hours theory crafting a build and just want to play and chill, this is the game you looking for
Theres so much to say about Warhammer: Chaosbane, so lets talk about it. This game caught me by surprised and I honestly am happy that it did. Gameplay: The gameplay is SOLID, simple yet effective. The combat will come down to being very "diablo" style with a few buttons you utilize in your rotation. The skill system is a simple "you have XYZ skill points available and skills cost XYZ amount so use them wisely" system, which I like combined with side points similiar to paragon points to boost your characters stats in whatever way you choose. The gameplay for this game is solid, well done and simple enough for new commers and old commers alike to find fun and extended gameplay here. LOOT: The loot is FUN in this game. You have 4 different rarities and once you unlock customization such as "blessings" which allow you to use fragments you pick up in the world to boost a particular stat in the game depending on if you want damage or not, is fantastic overall. You really feel the difference when you find a solid upgrade and the power scale creeps up at a nice pace so you dont feel too overpowered. This game rewards you loot wise at a nice pace as you progress through the campaign. Graphics: Graphically speaking the game shows age. Overall that is not super important here to understand the kind of game you are playing and there ARE some moments that are good looking but overall the graphics are nothing to drive home about and serve a "good enough" purpose for this game. Dont expect mind blowing visuals. Enemies / Boss battles: The game throws a ton of enemies at you and makes it constantly fun as you engage in combat. The boss battles are few and far between but overall fun when you encounter them at the end of each Act. They have standard mechanics that wont blow you away in complexity or anything however still engaging and fun enough to partake in and not get bored. Overall this game is a fantastic addition to the Warhammer Franchise game lineup and i am glad i got the chance to play this. I am 15 hours in and almost at max level and i fully plan to keep playing more classes and doing end game content. You will have plenty to do here and if you catch it on sale its a instant GRAB! Thanks for reading. Check out my profile for more reviews on video game content.
Some good ideas but ultimately half finished and outshone by the other Diablo clones I've played. I tooled around a bit with the other classes but I completed the main campaign on the Witch Hunter. PROS: + Game starts out strong. Good pacing of abilities, gear, enemies, and difficulty + Some real pretty environments + Nice visual effects and enemy feedback + Gear all visually appears on your character and has great art direction. Transmutation is available for free too. I was chasing drip as much as chasing stats. + Classes will vary, but I found Witch Hunter's ability and skillset pretty fun at first + You can trade gear between your saved characters + Performed great at 4k. Frame dips were rare. CONS: - Bizarre audio bugs. Imbalance in ears, too loud for some sections, too quiet for others. Honestly I wouldn't know where to begin to diagnose this. - Environments are repeated way too often. First time you go into a tile set it looks really cool... then you dread the next 2-4 hours being in that exact same location. I say "tile sets" but they even wholesale copy level geometry in some areas too. - Balance goes completely off the rails and fast after the first 5 or so hours. On the hardest difficulty the game was absolutely incapable of providing challenge. By 2/3 completion I was one-shotting almost everything, including bosses. There are 4 difficulties by default and 10 more after completing the campaign the first time... they should absolutely have made these available straight away - No conventional shop. The only gear you find is in levels or a couple arena challenges. The "shop" is a literal hand-rubbing merchant you "donate" your useless items to in order to receive XP and a few milestone skills... that's it. - Managing gear only comes down to "replace with higher number" and "enchant with gems you find." Extremely shallow, and the combat side isn't interesting enough to make up for it. - Abilities are interesting at first but quickly the top tier ones make themselves apparent and you're just handicapping yourself using maybe 80% of the passive/active skills. - Story is bare bones and as copy-paste Warhammer as they come. - Music is supremely generic "fantasy orchestra." - You can see the effort in the environments and enemies become less and less as the game reaches completion. OVERALL: Game is way too easy and repetitive the first playthrough, and it isn't deep enough for another one except MAYBE trying a different character. The interesting enemies run out pretty early as the other Chaos Gods mostly just reskin each other and the otherwise gorgeous environments are just repeated way too much. The weird audio bug is also a huge hurdle. I've never played Diablo but I've played Van Helsing, VTM: Redemption, and Dungeon Siege 1, and I thoroughly recommend all three of those before this game.
Only get if on deep discount. Played to end of campaign, max level for 1 character. This game is frustrating, there is a solid foundation for what could have been an excellent arpg that never materialized. It starts out very underwhelming, especially in character build choices, but by the time you hit endgame, there's something decent there. However, I just can't recommend it over other arpgs unless you've played them all to death and are desperate for something different. Campaign is very linear and barebones, minimum viable product. Endgame is a janky simulacrum of Diablo 3's rifts and paragon leveling. Itemization is very weak, almost entirely just gradual stat increases from beginning to end. No real choices to be made. Enchanting is a bit more interesting, but I couldn't be bothered to farm the materials to really make the best use of it.
Eko Software has now partnered with Sweet Baby Inc.
Finished the game in duo (4 chapters), while playing the DLC character Witch Hunter. The additional fifth chapter is still to be played, as the Tomb Kings DLC. I overall had the impression of the game that it's keeping interactivity and complexity low, which could lead to an accessible game - it has controller controls and it supports 4 player (even local, couch-coop!) gameplay. The good things about the game:

The environments look fairly good and detailed.
The skill system is quite simple and approachable
Items communicate their stats in a simple way, it's easy to compare equipment.
Each characters have unique voiced dialogue for the whole campaign. Voice acting may be the strongest point of the game.
Sadly the bad things are a lot longer list, ranging from readibility, through lack of care, to bugs.

It's relatively mild, but it's ridiculous that the game got expanded with two extra characters, yet the developers didn't bother to patch in achievements linked to them -You literally don't have the "you finished the game" achievement with the Witch Hunter, because only the 4 original classes achievements for that.
Skill system is mediocre, other than your levels to access skills, you also have a skillpoint limit. You get skill points from mostly levels. You can't use two 5 point skills, if you're only level 8, despite having access to them.
You have no attributes, and only about 8 stats like damage, crit % and bonus, counterstrike, speed, loot find, the deals. Not even items of the highest tier have unique abilities. This is 3 years after Grim Dawn setting a new standard...
There are no sidequests, no freeform exploration of maps, they are corridors so copy-paste designed, that the same specific corner and turn appears 3-4 times on the same map. You literally run the same sewers, fields, forests again and again and again.
You can't buy, or sell items, just "donate them" for resources and bonuses. The gold you collect is only good for bossrush or other endgame events, or in case you die. The fragments you collect from start are useless until 3/4 into the game, and even then there is no guide or explanation how the "bless item" feature works. Actually, there's no guide or explanation for anything. Not even mouseover text.
The game that is "THE FIRST HACK AND SLASH set in the Warhammer Fantasy world", and boasts with "AN XXL BESTIARY" doesn't care at all with making people familiarise with the setting. I genuinely missed a bestiary about the monsters, demons and mutants because they are quite cool. But... then you realize they are recolours of the same enemies, and outside of the handful special enemies, they have the same AI - they run up to you to hit you, or run into range to shoot you
The final boss of the story is just another end-of-the-chapter boss, as in the previous chapters. And woefully weak for that one, too.
The difficulty (and complexity) is weirdly off. We played on normal, and in the first chapter we had to strategise, keep distance, the chapter boss had special mechanics, all the good stuff. By chapter 2 (to 4) we just moved down everything, killed chapter bosses in 15 seconds (who had no special attacks), dealt 80% of the game's penultimate miniboss' health in one shot after just debuffing it.
I'm not sure what Mike Lee wrote for the Black Library, but this story is not his magnum opus. ARPG is not high literature, but the mission chain of "find Bobby". "Now find map for Bobby". "Not enough info, find books for Bobby!" "While he reads them, save some civilians." "Now go back, and get Bobby to this location!" was 5 runs on the same map's worth of story, roughly a third of a chapter. There is basically no lore, you don't get to know more of the world, it's always "do trivial stuff to find X person" and literally nothing else. Not even an NPC to talk about how war is hell or idk.
5+ times had to restart a session, because while the minimap shown where is the character we needed to talk to to progress the quest, there was no option to talk to them. Once the actor itself was missing.
(I'm just curious, why are the questgivers keep on teleporting around, most of the it's not even linked to the actual plot. Is it to keep us running around?)
The base game alone costs 30€, but there's a reason why it's often discounted 90%, or you can get the full version for 3-4€ in various bundles.
Overall it's serviceable and has some Warhammer vibe I guess, but it sucks at being interesting, unique, and it's unlikely to get any people to get into Warhammer Fantasy. It's a sub-par game compared to even games that came before it, even TItan Quest from 2006. The only thing it has going for it is the couch co-op. That's the only aspect worth recommending, for everything else you can find multiple, better games.
