Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A Masterpiece Held Hostage by its Own Community. The gameplay is still 10/10, no issues with that but thanks to the unfriendly regulars i had a poor experience. I joined an 8v8 TDM and after i died I was forcibly moved to Spectator mode and didnt respawn and my slot was instantly filled by someone else. In 2026, the few remaining 'full' servers are essentially private clubs. If you aren't a regular, admins will snatch your active spot mid-match to make room for their friends. The current 'Quake Live' community is why Arena FPS is dying. They complain about low player counts, then immediately kick you to spectator mid-game because they dont recognise you.
This game itself plays great, but the community’s a nightmare. Mostly 40 year old tryhards who’ll kick you for breathing wrong. You can’t even improve when you’re booted every match for not having a thousand hours. Great game, ruined by toxic fossils.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Deleted my long review and this game, they voted to kick me from one of the 2 active servers to let someone else in lol, how can i reccomend the game where the only active server has 8 ppl where they kick you for not being one of the 8 ppl who have played for the last decade. Used to love quake live but they killed it years ago.
The game is still alive if you're wondering.
It's the best version of quake still "playable" online, but the community has devolved into complete insufferability. This game is now wholly and solely played by cheaters, trolls and griefers of all kinds. People will spam music and audio snippets non stop during matches, the few servers will be all full and the queue times will be unberable. You WILL be kicked from servers for no reason. Or because you 've killed someone. Or because you didn't respect an imaginary etiquette. Oh and also the game will download 100s of megbytes of mysterious community made material almost every time you connect to a server.
I own the orginal copy of Quake III Arena, played Top-League ESL with Clan Arena OSP in ancient times. I like this game ... a lot!! (freeeeze tag, my precious) So no negative bias here. MP ist key and there are lots of great dudes still playing out there... But the ambience has changed and (at least in my region) the servers with good pings tend to be be taken other by right wing extremists, even nazis... swastikas as logos and no community standing up to clean this ♥♥♥♥. Well I quit again... i don't play in communities, where nazis and swastikas are tolerated. Highly NOT recommanded.
i wish people never stopped playing arena shooters like quake / unreal tournament / painkiller, etc. it's still truly the peak of pure fps skill, strategy, and movement all in one. if quake had the popularity of CS, I think we'd be peaking as a civilization instead. listen to some oldskool jungle, get ridiculously stoned and play some instagib. you're welcome. RIP quake, rapha stayed dominating everything till the end!!!
Get ready to get your ass whooped by 50 year old neckbeards that have been quaking it since they we're born. But once you make it through the domestic violence that are the 100 first hours of playing this game, it actually becomes a lot of fun. Super high skill ceiling and a lot to learn if you have the courage to push through the rough entry.
Great game, but the community is pure dog water. There is a ctf server ran by a guy named magdoll and if your even remotely better than him he will ban you and claim you said stuff about his kids. just a really ignorant guy, him and his small pp group cant handle losing , with that said his wife has to have the IQ of a cockroach to reproduce with him. Altho hes stated several times he likes to watch his wife get pipped by others so im assuming thats why she deals with him
