Abandoned game :(
I got railroads online vary early in its life. back then i would have recommended it. but now absolutely NOT do not buy. The game used to be simpler back then but now it is not. The game crashes all the time, a lot of the stuff isn't animated properly or an all (mason bogie), they take to long to fix stuff, AND THEY THINK IT'S READY FOR A DLC!??!?!?!?!?!?! If they made the game work, animate stuff properly, use proper historical stuff like paint (Coal Cookie) , added a sandbox mode, Updated old locomotives to have paint, and just make it fun then i might recommend. 2/10 DO BETTER

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ive played the game for a decent bit of time and sadly have to say you shold not buy this as it is, as of right now it is a bugy mess that feels like it wasnt thought thru all the way. the railroading is ok, somtimes the train cars derail for what feels like no reson and the phisics are a wee bit janky other than that i like it, the building of railroads and infastructer as far as im consernd is infuriating and almoast unusable you will build somthing only to find it wont build or work properly, not only that but you are at compleet mercy of the terain wich means ♥♥♥♥ just wont work no mater what you do(pleas add a laindscaping tool i beg of you) the rail building is ok, just need some polish i feel. world building is very empty, i purchesed bolth dlc's thinking the animals wold liven it up a bit but no they are only a plasable obgect with a idle animation and are kind of a let down but ok. the last thing is sound, you can oly here a train wistle 7 cars down wich is a bit disapointing to me. these are the only complaints i have, i still love the game its just frustraiting and i cant wait to see it improved. sorry for any spelling or grammer mistakes i know there are many.--- a idiot
Full disclosure, I bought this game, returned it because it was frustrating, bought it again because I thought I didn't give it a fair chance, and am now sure. I feel like this game has so much potential, but it just falls short in almost every way. Firstly, a big part of the game, probably the main part of the game, is building your own rail network. The problem is, it's like pulling teeth the entire time. My two biggest complains are the cumbersome nature of precision building, and the fact that if you happen to be over a piece of track when you place it, you drop out of fly mode in a pretty jarring way. The main selling point of a game shouldn't also be it's most frustrating feature. Secondly, the maps. The scenery is pretty bland, and as far as I can tell you cannot change the terrain in any way. This wouldn't be a problem, except for some maps that have absurd grades leaving you no option but to build huge winding sky bridges all over the map to stay under a reasonable percentage. Thirdly, operating trains. The other major aspect of the game is driving trains. Well, the physics of the game is so broken that the locomotives are speed locked to prevent trains just derailing on flat straight track. So, even if you don't have to deal with a grade, you get to putt across the map at like 15 mph. There are so few really amazing train games, and I feel like this could have been one of them. But at the end of the day, it's just not fun, and that's the whole reason we play games.
Fun as hell, but seems like abandonware at this point, don't buy unless reviews like this are updated. Also currently doesn't run on my computer, but that is because my computer is absolutley terrible
Didn't follow roadmap and added pointless DLCs
You can make your own fun in this sandbox. However the game was released roughly one year ago in the same state it's been during beta. In this last year we had only one hotfix with no further development in sight. Basically at this point it's abandonedware. Physics are janky Graphics are servicable at best Performance is terrible
Unless you enjoy pain from a less than easy to use track placement system, or the varying level of overall quality.. Don't buy this, It's really just a glorified model train layout builder. Oh, and your cars like to derail themselves downhill at the slightest braking pressure.. Yeah I don't know how I lasted almost 50 hours playing this game.
I should have read the community discussions first. This game appears abandoned by the devs with multiple serious bugs and non-functional multiplayer that would require a full rewrite to fix. Sad, because it definitely has/had potential.
its an pretty ok game but it hasn't been updated in over a year in a half so i would not recommend this game
