Now it because I am in low end device or something it always crash when I tried to load into a new map. (despite my PC specs is in the middle of the system requirements) either he never change the system requirements that my GTX 1050Ti or my HDD will not work with UE5. But then I can run some UE5 engine just fine. Not sure what it was.
Full of bugs. Nothing seems to be getting fixed. Roll out from EA to 1.0 was botched. I lost hundreds of hours of progress.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Some people may enjoy the game. I found it marginally ok at it's best moments, and frustrating often. The biggest reason I wouldn't recommend the game is because there is little payoff. May games in this genre eventually reward your work with major advancements in productivity. Here, it just doesn't come. Tediom is constant. You have to manually unload all the cars, track laying is a pain, requiring hours to lay out simple routes. There is little sense of achievment, you walk along, manually unload the cars and it's instantly converted to a little money and the next resource. The game reminds you every few minutes that every industry on the map is not running because it's not supplied, a task that is nearly impossible to achieve with just one industry. The only thing the game could be good at is simple sandbox play alongs online. If you want to run trains around a map with like minded friends, that's what you get. The trains are way too simply modeled to be much fun. The big thing I will give credit to, and the only part I found fun was the choice to go with narrow guage. The small size is more accesible and is very charming.
such a waste of potential.
i bought this knowing this game is a dead, broken mess. Thought I could tolerate bugs, but every time I try selling lumber at the main place in spawn my game crashes. that's my bad I guess.
This is sad. There's obvious intent here but the entire implementation is awful. This could have been a simulation-heavy first-person openTTD, but as it stands it's just a model train set. Some grievances:

Locomotives are extremely simplified, even on realistic setting. Just fill them up, wait for pressure to hit the magic number it always stays at when fueled, and pull the go lever.
Rail placement is fiddly as hell, and needs to be babysat at every corner or it will do something stupid, like a 15 degree grade on flat terrain.
Rails are not clean splines, and trains sort of cog through the polygons leading to derailment on very gentle curves.
All "special" rail parts (crossovers, turntables, switches) only come without ballast, making it impossible to build switch yards that don't look like they hover.
Industries are spread out across the map, but there's no bonus for doing longer transports like in openttd, it's just a flat rate.
The pay is awful, even on easy industry. getting a single new locomotive can take hours.
There are no non-industry buildings. no towns or anything.
There's no visible effect on feeding industries. you just get the goods, there's no growth.
There is a factory that makes rails, but you don't need rails. placing rails is free.
There are passenger cars, but no passengers.
The entire user interface is working against you. Hotkeys randomly don't show up, units are mixed, related tools (build/destroy) are in unconnected menus.
Refueling and car loading is an obvious hack where you get particle effects to show that something is happening, and then occasionally a big ugly physics object will spawn in and if it hits the receptacle you fuel or cargo will go up by 100 points.
I have only played this after the full release, and it has the quality i would expect from a first early access proof of concept.
Oof where to begin...I really had high hopes for this game because I love the concept, and it combines two of my favorite game types, but... It is extremely clunky. Laying track in first person is very slow, but even when laying track when flying, it's not much better. It can take some time to get the new track to connect to the old track, and when laying track at stops, it's annoying to get it laid right and connected to the station, especially when there are elevation changes in the terrain. The couplings are not well done either, even though the system is supposedly doing it. There are noticeable jolts when going between sections. Sometimes the track just disappears too. Driving needs a lot of work too. I like that there is potentially more detail in driving than a lot of other simulators, it doesn't all work well. Sometimes it just doesn't respond to changes in the regulator. Also, somehow I managed to derail my train on starter track going less than 5 mph. That was fun. Not as much fun as trying to get the water spout to work correctly. The thing jumps all over the place and moves through some spots very quickly. I got to the point where I put it in a good enough area, then moved the train. The nail in the coffin was when I came upon a spot where the track I had laid had disappeared. I intended to at least do a full lumber run, but I didn't even get to where I connected my cars due to the derailment, then later the missing track. At that point, I decided it was too much of a cluster to put more effort into making it work, and to not risk getting close to going past the refund window. Apparently I only played .8 hours. It felt like I was getting close to 2. If they can fix it, it could be good, but that would take a lot of reworking.
The worse steam sim ever!!! Rails construction is a disaster, no any intuitive controls, lay rails by hand with no any calculation and input values control... physic of movement is not tuned, cars derailing even at very low speed... A lot of bugs and crashes... Loks like it is not a game but some kind of sandbox for some middle game developer....
Probably some of the worst money I have ever spent... The only fun you can seriously get from this game is with friends because the rest of it all is just a slog... It is the very reason I'm sceptical of early access now... The performance has somehow gotten worse over time (My system could easily run a lot of games when this first released to Early Access) and the only reason it runs soo bad is because of the optimization! The Development was a nightmare, The Locomotive simulation is barely a thing (go play other games like Derail Valley if you want Simulation) I'd only buy this on a sale and if you really want to play an american 3ft gauge train game... otherwise Steam & Steel on roblox does what this game does for a fraction of the cost and I can bet you has had more effort put into it than Railroads Online... I only have this high hour count because I want to 100% it after Early Access and will probably never touch it again...
