Sudden urge to play Pharaoh. Install, start... unskippable intro.. watch for what feels like 10 minutes.. unskippable video still going.. ALT+F4, uninstall, go back to Factorio.
The original Pharaoh was the first game I ever played. I'm a huge fan of the whole series (Caesar, Pharaoh, Zeus, etc.). Seeing the cartoon-like user interface of the game makes me sad and utterly disappointed. This decision has completely ruined the amazing vibe of the original game. My only hope is that the developers will add a classic UI mode. Otherwise it's much better to play the good ol' Pharaoh with HD mod.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Intro
Analisi

Storia

Narrativa

Sad to say that this does not even come close to the old Caesar 3 game. Yes, a game from 98' has more life, better UI and overall feels much better to play than whatever this is. I did like the hand-drawn cinematics. 1/10
Very glitchy, especially as you get into later parts of the game. Had to do the ole "Pharaoh's Tomb" at the end of several levels because the glitches prevented the game from wrapping up even if objectives are met.
I love the original Pharaoh, and I would have loved to leave this game a positive review. Unfortunately, I just cannot. The game is simply too buggy with popups locking themselves out and strange nonfunctionality, the new military system is terrible, and the UI is a huge step down visually from the original. Go buy the original games on GOG for a much better experience.
A lot of nitpickers out there, but the reality is, you'll find essentially everything there is to experience from the original in a smoother format. Loved it.
Still has plenty of bugs in 2025, with no updates being done anymore since late 2023. Some are quite critical, like missions not ending when achieving the end goal, or open trade with a city producing 0 income while you have a major surplus of resources and the city imported 0 out of their target for that resource. I like the look and feel, I like some of the improvements people noted over the original, but it's a shame it's so half-baked still to this day. Here's hopping there's modders who did the work for these people.
I love it!! Can you please also bring "Zeus" back??
