About
Immerse yourself in the history of Ancient Egypt with 50 missions in Pharaoh™: A New Era, a remake of Pharaoh (and the expansion Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile), one of the best city builders from the golden age of Sierra Entertainment. Stone by stone, build your city and manage all aspects of its development to ensure it prospers and makes you a powerful and revered pharaoh.

Develop your city by cultivating the fertile lands along the banks of the Nile valley. Erect the iconic monuments of Ancient Egypt, including the pyramids, the Sphinx and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. Build temples and mausoleums to help manage all aspects of your city's health and culture as well as the predominant polytheistic religion of the time.
Ensure your city is prosperous enough to deal with economic or political crises, or even plundering by enemies. A pharaoh takes care of its people and does whatever it can to earn the favour of the gods.

Pharaoh™: A New Era celebrates 20 years since the release of the famous franchise with a complete remake, including more than 50 playable missions and over 100 hours of gameplay.
The "Campaign" mode teaches you the game basics while allowing you to experience a unique story in the heart of Ancient Egypt. Explore all aspects of life in a thriving city, build and manage all its fundamental elements to ensure it flourishes: the economy, internal and external trade, culture, health, agriculture, education, etc.

The journey back in time is really brought to life with this new version, which upgrades the gameplay mechanics to modern standards and completely redesigns the captivating soundtrack and gorgeous isometric 2D graphics.
Many indicators have also been added or improved: keep better track of the frequency or quality of the Nile's floods with the Nilometer, or don't lose sight of your population's mood with some unique new tools!

Reviews
Good game, especially with the quality of life mods.

Merits: ▪ Cozy, painterly intro video ▪ Thematic music score ▪ Built-in Encyclopedia ▪ Quality of Life features ▪ Good narrative progression in the Campaign ▪ Extra Scenarios to play Flaws: ▪ The Campaign is a bit lengthy ▪ Gameplay gets repetitive & tedious ▪ Occasional, not game-breaking bugs Verdict: If you go in with the right expectations, Pharaoh is a blast to play. It has a certain charm and an addictive nature to it. There is a fairly large tech tree, various industries and logistic chains to set up. The goals feel truly monumental and an achievement when you finally manage to build them. I had a lot of fun doing my best to always build a functional yet aesthetic city and often found myself playing late into the night. If you played the original, or any of the classic city builders, I can thoroughly recommend it. Rating: ★★★☆☆ - Above Average

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

its really good, anyone who complains about the bugs. They arent bugs, i havent encountered a single one. If somethings not working they are likely stupid and dont understand how to properly run the building

I played this game back in the 90s and it is exactly the same, Absolutley love it and would play it for hours. Building , managing prodution of essential items, preparing soliders for battle and ensuring there is a good economy
it's badly optimized and i would have asked for a refund but i figured i wanted to give this game an honest chance so there for 34 hours. I was so happy to see a follow up but i was in for a big disappointed.I am not sure why the team decided to rush this. I am sorry but.. yeah this was really bad. I loved two things though the historical aspect and the music. Both of them was 100% but the gameplay was a nightmare. I have spent more then 2k hours into Children of the Niles with Tilted Mills and that game is still solid even today.
