Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
I love both OT1 and OT2, but Octopath Traveler 0 really does not measure up to them. Briefly summarising what has been said already: sprites and visual effects are nice, soundtrack is beautiful (though partially rehashed), battle mechanics are somewhat changed, characters are shallow and/or moronic, storyline is a DRAG and I ended up beating it just to put the game behind me. English VA quality varies, but is largely positive, in my opinion. Standout VAs are Sam Slade (Stia), the returning Patrick Seitz (Olberic) and Aaron Dismuke (Sazantos,
before his character flips on his head
). On the other hand, Debra Wilson (Tatloch) sounds like she had three glasses of wine before lazily slurring her way through her character. But the localisation is so infuriating! It reads sloppily and adds an additional layer of frustration on top of a story and script that are already difficult to slog through. Royal characters speak in an elevated mode befitting of their station, before just chucking in some modern slang or idiom in the same text box. Metaphors are butchered and lose their intended meaning. Actual grammatical errors pop up occasionally and it all seems so careless. Similarly, the incessant they/them-ing of the protagonist is so ridiculous. Yes, it's the result of having a self-insert protagonist. But if I'm standing right there, looking like a guy, it's so immersion-breaking for the other characters to act like they don't know who the hell they're talking about! It actually spoils a late-game plot point because the only other known character referred to as "they/them" is
you as a baby!
The protagonist has at least three titles that could be used instead and it's just lazy and clumsy. Overall, being a self-insert game differentiates Octopath Traveler 0 from OT1 and OT2 in the worst ways. It's not immersive, it's not enjoyable and it's not worth the time it takes to get through it. Maybe if you're a fan of the Octopath Traveler series, you might like it. But I AM a fan of the series, and I sure didn't.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

That was a good journey.
A much longer main storyline than Octopath 1 and 2, and more linear too which is easier for player to understand. 2DHD art style with the snow is stunning. Only downside is too many characters and some of their jobs are repetitive, rather to halve the character numbers to add more stories to each of them. Overall a good game.
Its ok but its the worst of the 3 in the series.
It is not on the same level as the other Octopath Traveller. I understand where it comes and the fact that it was a mobile game, and eventhough it is well adapted, story is mostly boring, combat system feels more restricted and character are just not memorable. I would recommend playing 1 and 2 that are way better than this one
I octopeaked in my octopants
