Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 102.43/day in the week to Aug 28 → 237.57/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Yes it's a Movie with a game. Yes there's an albino monkey addicted to soda. Yes there's poop jokes. but out of all that this game hit me the most in the series with it's anti-war themes and weathered soundtrack for a dying hero. Thankfully the cutscenes have emotion to them especially with the flashbacks as that makes Old Snake feel older then he is. With gameplay I love the stealth camo and the overall weapon selection is awesome if your not doing a non-lethal run. I recommend this game to anyone who has had interest in this series play the the first 3 solid games and you'll love this one as much as I do. to end it off, here is what got me into this game. “War has changed. It's no longer about nations, ideologies, or ethnicity. It's an endless series of proxy battles, fought by mercenaries and machines. War--and it's consumption of life--has become a well-oiled machine. War has changed. ID-tagged soldiers carry ID-tagged weapons, use ID-tagged gear. Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. Genetic control, information control, emotion control, battlefield control…everything is monitored and kept under control. War…has changed. The age of deterrence has become the age of control, all in the name of averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction, and he who controls the battlefield, controls history. War…has changed. When the battlefield is under total control, war becomes routine.” ― David Hayter as Solid Snake

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This port is a miracle and a dream come true, but I will list some glaring negatives it has first. The game would crash on a black screen right on start up at around Act 4 after steam cloud saves stopped working. I had to turn off cloud syncing and make manual copies of my saves before wiping my save folder and putting them back. There was at least 5 instances of cutscenes freezing for a few seconds before resuming. These are issues that need to be patched, particularly the first one for how major it is. These were my only technical problems, and they did not ruin the experience despite bringing it down. I also think leaving out the multiplayer is a bit of a blow, but not one I'm personally sad about. I found the touched-up cutscenes and stable 60 framerate to be great. This port has become the best way to experience the main game. Performance was buttery smooth throughout. I won't get deep into opinions of the game itself, since this is more about the quality of the port, but I overall liked the stealth systems and a lot of the cutscenes, of which there are MANY. I found the game too easy compared to past entries, but combat and stealth still felt pretty tight and engaging. Any Metal Gear fan will find plenty to enjoy
This is the gayest one. And Snake got his whole ♥♥♥♥ grabbed in the last one
The grand finale of the metal gear solid saga. (Phantom Lame doesn't count, obviously). Made during the golden age of games, before the dark times we live in now.
finally mgs4 is available. have not encountered issues on steam deck.
At least MGS4 plays smoothly, but that isn't saying much for a nearly 20 year old games. There's a lot missing from this collection, Metal Gear Acid 1 and 2 for example. Missing additions to the collection asides, simple things about the remaster make the whole collection feel like bad spyware than a game you bought. Things like having a separate launcher for the launcher for each game. Or the game pauses if you tab out during a cut scene, but tabbing out paused on a menu keeps the game running. It all feels weird... Don't get this until all the weird software issues are resolved.
Good.
Gracias
I love this game so much. I will play when I'm not poor from gambling
