We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

About
Inspired by the iconic Blair Witch legend, this game expands the mythos with a new story set years after the original film.
You play as Ellis, a former police officer on the search for a missing boy. With only your loyal dog Bullet at your side, you push deeper into the Black Hills Forest, where the woods twist memories, warp time, and prey on your fears. As the forest closes in, you will uncover fragments of Ellis’s troubled past and face a presence that watches you from just beyond the treeline – waiting for you to lose yourself in the darkness.
Modern-day masters of horror Bloober Team channel the series’ signature tension and psychological dread, delivering a chilling journey into the heart of the Black Hills Forest.
Solve the Mystery – Investigate the disappearance of a young boy using the tools at your disposal (camera, cell phone, flashlight) to survive the nightmares that come your way.
Your Sanity Against Her Curse – Navigate a living, shifting forest filled with supernatural dangers. The way you react when in peril will determine what you ultimately learn about yourself.
A True Best Friend – Your trusted canine sidekick, Bullet, is always by your side. You can pet him and feed him treats, ortreats or choose to discipline him if he wanders off. How you treat him directly impacts your story.

Reviews
The game’s strongest recreation of the movie is undoubtedly its atmosphere. With all the dark forest, flashlight, old-school camcorder, and excellent environmental sound design, it did a great job of recreating the found-footage style of the movie. Another nice design choice is Bullet, your dog. Most of the game takes place in the forest, which is extremely easy to get lost in, but the game actually does a pretty good job with its subtle guidance. Even though sometimes you may still have no idea where you're supposed to go, that's when Bullet takes on the role of a guide and helps lead you in the right direction. Because having Bullet by your side gives you a strong sense of security, his presence also works as a kind of tension release. In some sections, the devs deliberately take him away from you to heighten the sense of tension and unease, while also helping control the pacing. However, the game also has quite a few problems. First of all, while the game is wrapped in the shell of a psychological horror game, it actually feels more like running around a forest for hours and occasionally getting startled by random things (
and I say “startled” because the monsters are basically no threat to you at all — you can literally ward them off with a flashlight
). If you've played psychological horror masterpieces like Silent Hill or Siren, this probably won't be nearly as satisfying. Second is the combat I briefly mentioned earlier. We are playing as Ellis, a police officer, yet he carries absolutely no weapons, not even for self defense. When he encounters a monster, all he has is a crappy flashlight and an equally crappy camcorder. Seriously, this is just ridiculous, this is why the combat system ends up feeling completely pointless. And finally, there's the story. This game also falls into the fairly typical trap of being deliberately cryptic for the sake of it. It keeps throwing mysteries at you throughout the early game, making it seem like something absolutely incredible is waiting for you later on. But in the end, the story still falls into some pretty familiar tropes, and honestly, I just didn't find it particularly compelling. This might be the only Bloober Team game that I don't particularly like. Bloober Team is one of my favorite game studios, but Blair Witch occupies a rather awkward position in their lineup. Its atmosphere and environmental storytelling aren't quite as good as Layers of Fear, while its gameplay doesn't hold up as well as the later The Medium and Cronos: The New Dawn. Thankfully, it still has some ideas of its own, and the game does eventually shift toward something closer to Layers of Fear, which makes the horror considerably more effective in the later sections. 14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Nothing in the woods is scarier than my own sense of direction after one wrong turn down a backwoods road at night. The path disappears, and my memory of it fades even faster.
I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate this game. It’s not scary. it’s just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ infuriating. The horror isn’t in the forest; it’s in the bugs the devs never bothered to fix. There are key items that just don’t spawn because you need to interact with something that you literally cannot interact with. People were already complaining about this in 2019 when it launched. It’s 2025. Still broken. Still ignored. And guess what? The devs even said you don’t need it to progress. Then why the ♥♥♥♥ put it there? Why make Bullet lead you there at all? Fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ code. Ask Bullet to seek? He’ll lead you right to the area where the item never spawns. Pet the dog during Chapter 12? Congratulations — you’re now stuck in the same pose Ellis was in while petting, but not even in the animation. You can’t move, can’t look around properly. Reload? Same ♥♥♥♥ again. I’ve tried to be forgiving. I wanted to love this game. The atmosphere is great, the concept solid — but every time it pulls you back in, it throws another game-breaking bug in your face. It’s like the devs just left it in the woods and never came back. I’m so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done. Moving on to Silent Hill 2 Remake. There, I’m actually immersed and I don’t feel like I’m wasting my time being frustrated at bugs.
♥♥♥♥ ass game doesnt even launch
