Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 17 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 494: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ (8/10) What a gem. What a gem Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments is! I had such a blast. As one might imagine, you play as the great Sherlock Holmes who investigates six distinct cases. The heart of the game is quite possibly one of the best deduction systems out there. The fact that your choices matter is just the cherry on top. It has only minor rough edges: clunky animations, clunky minigames, and convoluted explanations.
Pros:
✅ Six well-crafted cases. Of course Frogwares isn't going to dump six similar murder cases on you. Nope, each has variety in tone and structure. Some are short and focus on a small cast. Some are long, slow-burns. Some are about murder; some about theft. ✅ Excellent deduction system. I swear Frogwares must have invented their own system. Holmes has an investigation board, deductive vision, and reconstruction sequences. You will first gather a bunch of clues. Some clues lead to a bigger deduction. Does this clue mean x or y? This, in turn, leads to another deduction, usually a conclusion, like "X commited the crime." However, you get the choose what the clue means and who did commited the crime! You also use your imagination to imagine how a crime happened, which leads to more clues. As a whole, it's relatively hands-off, allowing for player choice. ✅ You also have a research mechanic. For example, you have an archive of newspapers, encyclopedias, and something else I forgot (sorry!). You will have a clue that says something like "X is a green herb used for many things." You will have to search through your archives to find the matching piece of information. Pretty simple, but fun. ✅ And! You have an interrogation mechanic! You get to question suspects and witnesses and observe their appearance. ✅ Moral choices. Not only do you decide who the culprit is, you also decide if you want to condemn or absolve them. As a QoL, you are allowed to play through each ending before choosing a final culprit. I loved this mechanic. You can decide to be judge, jury, or executioner or perpetuate blind justice. After each case ends, the culprit will send you a letter either thanking you or cursing your name out. ✅ Strong atmosphere and production. Some lovely detailed Victorian locations, good sound design, and solid voice work.
Cons:
🟥 Some mini-games (chemical analysis, lockpicking, certain interface puzzles) feel clunky or under polished. Christ, I hate the lockpicking. 🟥 Travel and load times. You see, every time you have to travel, there's a 10 second loading time. As you do a lot of travelling, this sucks. 🟥 While case outcomes change fates locally, the overall narrative rarely shifts dramatically based on your choices. 🟥 A few moments depend on trial-and-error rather than pure deduction. I found the second and third cases to be a bit too convoluted tbh. 🟥 ... Sherlock looks kinda ugly tbh. 14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Its great. Once you start you dont wanna close until you finish, This game scratched something inside me which i didnt knew it existed. I still want more. 2014 release date and the graphic still holds. Most impressives are those cases no spoiling just play it. Great VA. I can see why its more popular. door lock puzzles are kinda hard but thankfully skip button exist. only crashed like 3 times. overall 4.5/5
One of the best detective games I’ve ever played. Every case feels like its own Sherlock Holmes episode. The investigations are clever, the stories are engaging, and every conclusion feels earned. I never wanted to rush—I wanted to examine every clue, question every suspect, and truly think like Sherlock. The atmosphere is exceptional. The music, Victorian London, and slower pace make you feel like you’re inside a classic Sherlock Holmes novel. Most importantly, the game trusts the player. The challenge comes from solving the mysteries, not from fighting the interface. I still remember the cases years later, and I think that’s the highest compliment I can give a detective game. This is Sherlock Holmes at his best.
(Français, voir plus bas) English 🔷We are Sherlock Holmes and we're here to solve crimes. Elementary, my dear gamer. :D ✅PROS✅ -The investigations are fun, and some are directly inspired by the ACD' books, which is a nice touch. -Beautiful staging of the murders (don't take that sentence out of context!). -Detective work: observe crime scenes, analyze evidence, interrogate suspects, use your mind palace to make deductions and advance the investigation. -Multiple choices for deductions, possibility of identifying the wrong culprit. -Option to free or condemn the chosen culprit. -Sherlock is brilliant, just the right amount of arrogant yet compassionate. Dr. Watson is perfect. -Graphics are nice for their time (2014, over 10 years ago already). -Toby, the best. -Option to switch the game to first-person view. -Voice acting is great. ❌CONS❌ -The loading times between each location change are quite long, which significantly slows down the gameplay since you often have to go back and forth between the crime scene and your apartment or Scotland Yard to complete your investigation. -Watson doesn't contribute much, which is a shame. -There are mini-games, although they do manage to integrate well into the story. -Voice acting in English only. ⏱️DURATION⏱️14 hours. 🔷TAGS🔷 Detective. Puzzles. Mini-games. QTEs. Walking sim. CONCLUSION: This is the third Sherlock Holmes game I've played, and I think it's pretty good overall. Perhaps a little too many mini-games for my taste, but nothing too bad, and you can skip them if you don't want to do them.
The game is not bad: we investigate cases, examine clues, and choose a conclusion. The outcome of the case depends on your attention. The downside is the controls. Watson constantly gets in the way. 👍
