Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 26 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; GOG, Epic publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

After downloading and installing the game, be prepared to wait another 20 minutes while it downloads and installs tons of "Epic Store" crap that wasn't mentioned anywhere. Then, Steam can't launch the game; it actually launches an Epic Games launcher which in turn tries to launch the game... and often crashes. Once it has crashed (which it also does after you've "successfully" closed the game, BTW), Steam insists the game is still running and can't be launched again (because it's looking for the Epic launcher - which is now frozen - instead of the game itself). Trying to kill the ironically named "Epic Helper" process fails even as administrator. Once you finally manage to get into the game, you find it uses keybinds selected by a sadist, spread across the four corners of the keyboard (ex., camera motion expects you to use the cursor keys on the right side of the keyboard, not WASD - which are bound to completely different things). And when you go to the "controls" menu, you find out that's simply a static LIST of the insane default keybinds, it doesn't allow you to change any of them! So, you go online and you find that you have to dig into the game's files and edit a (huge) file manually to change the keybinds (though in game you'll still see everything tagged with the old keys, so you have to memorise all the new binds). But because that wasn't horrible enough, the game deletes all your changes and restores its own "backups" whenever there's an update or file integrity check. This kind of crap installer and horrible UI would have been unacceptable even in 1999, when the original Homeworld was released. In 2026 it's not just bad, it's an insult. There does seem to be an ok-ish RTS game underneath all this crap, but frankly I can't be bothered to jump through more hoops. Unfortunately I didn't install it straight away and now Steam refuses to give me a refund, even though I played less than 40 minutes (and about 20 of those was the game installing Epic Game store crap which will probably take me weeks to clean from my system). I guess it's Steam's new "trick" - sell multiple games at the same time during their "fests", knowing people won't install and try all of them straight away, and later claim the game "was sold too long ago to ask for a refund", even though they didn't deliver it (just took my money). I'd argue that the sale (and associated trial period) is only active once the customer actually downloads, installs and runs the software (and I think any competent judge would agree with that), but Valve know a lawyer would cost me more than the game. But hey, if anyone is looking to start a class action lawsuit, count me in. Until then, I'll be sticking with GOG.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Thumbs down to Randy Pitchford.
Would I recommend it? That's a complex question. It's a great game, but PLEASE STOP FORCING UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENES. Eff management that approves this. Also. VISA AND MASTERCARD SHOULD NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO DICTATE MORALITY. STOP VOTING FOR THIS.
Can't remap controls ingame. In the RTS game. Camera rotation is on RMB. You press RMB you accidentally rotate the camera. It's possible to change hotkeys in .cfg file, but it's not as easy as WC3 or SC1. Some things are not rebindable at all. I don't have patience to find and remap 20+ hotkeys. The devs clearly haven't played an RTS game.
The concept of massive LAND based carriers on tracks.... Idk man, that ♥♥♥♥ kinda gets me a little HARD
绑个球的EPIC。23年更新后。绿色汉化无法使用!!!!!!
A fun, cute, if some what niche and short rts. Made for a memorable experience. If you are a fan of home world, then chances are you'll enjoy this. With only 24 players online as of writing this, I would not call it ''multiplayer'' but I would call it ''fun''.
what kind of mad man put the arrow keys and no zero point setting for mouse on top of zero setting to change key bindings, cant even play cus i lose the mouse constantly, cant even change to a normal mouse either ????
家园系列的前传,也是最后一部家园

The campaign I give a solid 9/10
