I did enjoy it, for the most part, but I'm not the RTS gamer I once was, and just didn't have the micromanagement bug in me anymore. The races are all very different, and I did enjoy playing the goo, but with no automation, it was just annoying. So, during the 14th mission in the campaign, it just stopped being fun and I couldn't be bothered trying to find ways to win. I do also agree with some when they say the gaming was not as good as the cut scenes, and I just wanted to play the game to get more of them. The story was good, but not great, but the animation was enough that I wanted to see it all the way to the end. So, thanks YouTube for that. 6/10

I came back to this game 3 separate times, wanting to like it and in the end never being able to. It just doesn't feel good to play. The factions are like different flavors of sludge.

Waaay better than the negative reviews give it credit for. One guy didn't like the fact that you actually had to manage your rescourses just a little bit xD

Very similar to StarCraft 2 but definitely unique and fun! The campaign is short but fun and the races are pretty different in playstyle! Some basic concepts sometimes are hard to grasp during the campaign but you figure it out. If you've played StarCraft 2 you can think of the races this way. Beta are Terran buildings with protoss bodies, The humans are Protoss buildings with human bodies, and the goo is really unique and defaults to zerg playstyle. My only complaint is that the humans are not meant to expand outside of 1 base, they can access more resources but its a long walk with no defense. The Beta can expand anywhere at any time with no limitations which is fun! The goo are annoying at first but they grow on you!

Generally I jump into Skirmish with most RTS, and this was no different, however, after giving Campaign a shot, At Normal difficulty there are some difficult missions that took a few restarts. The campaign movies are amazing! It is a good story. The only thing that makes this game feel dated is that movies are not at 4k quality, so they feel a bit less realistic. They still have done fantastic job with movies. Out of all the RTS games that have came out recently, this is by far one of the most unique and best out. The couple downsides are that very few people own the game, so PvP has to be planned out with friends or via Discord. There are no maps with larger than 4 players. There is a bug when hovering over building buildings, units, etc, drops FPS, a decent work around is to use hotkeys. The game seems to be abandoned, so there are no new updates planned. It is best to install the game on SSD, as it takes a bit of time to launch, but once in the game it works well. Hotkeys are well setup in this game, would be nice if more RTS would use similar setup. The game is like C&C and SC2 had a baby, super fun to play.
