Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Aug 22 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Rusty's Retirement is an idle-farming simulator designed to sit at the bottom of your screen allowing you to work on other tasks while caring for your farm!
Grow crops:
Plant crops and watch Rusty get to work as he waters, nurtures, and harvests. Unlock new crops as you progress, from crispy carrots to ripe tomatoes.
Produce biofuel:
Use crops to produce clean and energy-efficient biofuel, a vital robot power source. Sell biofuel to other machine inhabitants and reinvest the money into expanding your farm.
Automate with robots:
Deploy a team of cute little robots to assist with planting, watering, and harvesting. Customize and upgrade your helper bots to increase efficiency.

Multitasking:
Rusty's Retirement is built to sit comfortably at the bottom of your screen allowing you to do other tasks while caring for your farm. Zoom in or out for a less distracting view, or alternatively turn on 'Focus Mode' which slows down crop production.
Vertical mode:
You can also create a new vertical farm that sits comfortably at the side of your screen.
Twitch Integration available:
Streamers and viewers can build a farm together. Viewers can control what task their robot should focus on through chat commands like !plant !water !harvest.

In Rusty’s Retirement, everything moves at a slow, predictable pace. Fields grow on their own. Machines follow fixed paths. All I have to do is stay nearby and let time pass naturally. I really like its fully automated design. Harvesting, watering, maintenance—none of it requires repeated input. Rusty walks back and forth across the farm, quietly completing tasks that would normally demand my attention. The little robot isn’t clever, but it’s reliable. It moves one tile at a time—step, turn, pause, continue— as if maintaining order in its own simple way. Watching it work brings a surprising sense of calm: things are being taken care of, and I don’t have to be drained by them. The crops follow their own rhythm, which makes the game perfect to keep running while I focus. I leave it on while writing papers, organizing materials, or working through complex problems. From time to time, I glance at the corner of the screen and notice how the farm has changed— how routine turns gentle when it’s allowed to run on its own. The game doesn’t demand attention; it simply keeps operating, producing, folding time into a quiet, steady background. It makes the world feel as if it’s still functioning somewhere nearby. This is a rare kind of design philosophy. It doesn’t ask me to escape reality— it allows me to stay fully inside it. I move forward in my real work; the game quietly maintains order beside me. Compared to systems that constantly pull at your focus, this approach feels honest. Every effort leads to visible results. Every process follows clear rules. Perhaps what truly relaxes us isn’t being understood, but simply not being consumed. This isn’t a game meant to kill time. It’s a form of respect for time. It doesn’t make me forget my life— it reminds me that some rhythms were never meant to be interrupted. In this world, what feels most healing isn’t endless feedback, but knowing that everything is functioning normally, and all I need to do is keep going. The game doesn’t care what I’m working on. But it will always take care of the farm.

Ridiculously cute idle game. A bit micro-managey at the beginning, but prioritizing the buildings that help with automation (Echo for upgrading bots and Splunk for automatic seed planting) makes letting the farm idle much easier and spending time decorating or redecorating more enjoyable. I love watching my little robots working on their farm on my extra monitor while I'm working on my others (I have three screens and this is perfect!). :) I think the part I enjoyed most (aside from the achievements) is that it has replayability and multiple types of farms you can unlock, each with their own individual challenges. I also love the stickers in the points shop for this one! They are super cute and I'll be saving up to get all of them. <3 For more reviews and recommendations check out the Under Starry Skies curator page!

"A relaxing idle-farming simulator that sits at the bottom of your screen while you do other things" Can anyone actually focus on doing other things while this game takes up a third of the screen, makes noises, and things keep moving in it? Or am I just too easy to distract?
Dangerous ADHD trap game that's hard to leave alone.... Just kidding. But seriously, I often found myself just staring at this in the corner of my screen instead of letting it manage itself. Something kind of fun to play with on the side of your screen while doing something else. Not super intrusive. Can run along the bottom of your screen or along the side. It's kind of like a desktop widget but bigger. Anyways, this is perfect for someone who intentionally wants to get distracted doing their work or something. Took ~146 hours to 100%. (Left running unsupervised, not actively playing)
I'm only 3 hours in, currently, but this is exactly what I wanted from something that you run while doing something else. Some of these types of games have just a little too much going on, where you find yourself spending more time than you really were supposed to on the game. For something that's meant to sort of idle as a "multi-tasking" sort of thing, that means you're not really multi-tasking. The games are fun, of course, but you're no longer doing what you intended, which was a balance of doing the thing you're struggling to do- the productivity- and the game, which is too fun to ignore. Rusty's Retirement kind of nailed that down. I WANT to focus on the game, but it takes time. It has to work through the things it's doing, so I have nothing to do but be productive while it does its thing. Eventually, I hit this really nice flow state where I can occasionally sit back, glance over, check on Rusty, and then return to my work. Even when I do eventually fiddle with Rusty, there's only so much I can do at any given time. Eventually, I need to wait for the game to proceed, and that's exactly what these sorts of games need to do. They need to make you wait, so you actually have to do the thing you're wanting to do, but struggling to focus on. Rusty's Retirement is really sweet, the music is perfect, and I'm excited to have so much more waiting for me, on top of the map I'm currently working on. There's so much ahead. This one's a fantastic mix of wanting to engage, but having to wait.
100% completion review: Good game overall but extremely long and repetitive to reach the 100% of achievements. Fun but very very grindy
It's so good that it can be distracting. Don't get me wrong, it has been a really good company while I am working. It hides behind other apps, or sits in front, has beautiful music, easy enough flow. It even has longevity through the different maps. But it's so good that it can distract you from the very work that it intends to help you focus. Get it, just be cautious and know yourself
Such a chill game to throw onto the other monitor while watching smth, playing a game, studying, etc. Atm I only have about 40 hrs so I'm not "done" with the game yet this game has a lot to offer. If you just want a chill idle farming game to put to the side while doing stuff I'd recommend. My only complaint is that sometimes it needs more attention then other idle games and it takes up a good bit of your screen that's why putting it on the other monitor helps. Other than that fantastic game 8.5/10
