Not as good as isonzo, bad gunplay and way less progression. Hopefully the next update makes it better.
Muy bueno, el mejor de toda la saga.

So, for anyone wondering what this WW1 FPS series is and how Gallipoli fits in, we had Verdun (2015), Tannenberg (2019), Isonzo (2022) and now the latest one launched, Gallipoli (2026). Each convers a specific WW 1 front/scenario, but with gameplay changes that make them virtually different if still related games: • Verdun and Tannenberg were indie-hardcore trench warfare games which favored roleplay. Because of their more difficult mechanics, they had lower playerbases. • Isonzo marked a popular turn towards more visually appealing and faster gameplay, similar to BF1 (2016) but more historical/tactical. Isonzo gathered quite a stable community over the years.
TL;DR
Gallipoli is a middle ground between Tannenberg/Verdun's historical realism and Isonzo's optimized gameplay flow/map design, with many small changes that lead to a better multiplayer experience and more meaningful moment-to-moment gameplay.
Description:
Gallipoli is not a "mil-sim" FPS, but also not a casual arcade shooter; it sits somewhere in the middle, in a niche occupied by games like Red Orchestra 1/2 and old Battlefield titles such as Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2, but with a deeper historical flavour and more team-play-oriented tuning than Isonzo. The weapons are for most part historical so expect heavy play with revolvers, bolt-action rifles, grenades, artilery, and heavy machine guns. No vehicles (yet), just infantry warface on many pitoresque places and cities/villages across the Ottoman coast. It's a beautifully looking game and very well optimized.
For those coming from Isonzo
Gallipoli is somewhat slower and more methodical, with a greater emphasis on teamwork through more distinct roles. For example, being an Ammo Bearer or Medic now brings the benefit of spawning on squadmates. Everyone also has less ammo, so you frequently see people handing ammunition to each other. After several hours, Gallipoli proves to be a much more enjoyable Multiplayer FPS than Isonzo for me: you have less grenade and MG spam, more charges, more dramatic events and also better-designed maps (for now). The slower movement speed is actually appreciated, as you don't have as many spammy kill-feeds. A downed mechanic offers well-earned second chances through teamwork and effort, and you can create more tactical scenarios that make you feel like some poor chap teleported from New Zealand to the coast of Anatolia in WW1. I believe most of these small changes contribute to a more meaningful moment-to-moment gameplay experience. The sound design is also significantly improved (gun impact, ambient, weather), as is the visual/performance ratio. Loading times, fluidity and client stability are much better here given the visual upgrade.
Conclusion:
I highly recommend this game to WW1 Series fans (Isonzo, etc.), history/war buffs, and also to everyone who is already a fan of "tactical realism" (not necessarily mil-sims) games such as Red Orchestra/Rising Storm, Battlefield 1942 / Battlefield 2, or even historical roleplaying titles like Holdfast and the likes. We need more games like Gallipoli to grow this niche between high-investment FPS simulators and ADHD-arcade shooters.

Unfortunately you have to be a Turk half the time, but it's still a great game
how on earth is this so much worse than isonzo...
Corners have been cut with this game. One example: suppression can swing your aim on an 18-pounder gun. This is supposedly a weapon you have to hand crank. Gameplay wise I don't enjoy how powerful spotting is on top of how open the maps are.
