Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Mon ff d'enfance, grand plaisir d'y avoir jouer.
This game makes me wish Steam had a less binary rating system, because while I played through most of the game, enjoyed it, and certainly got my money's worth, it has some significant issues I feel obligated to point out. If I could I'd probably give it a 3 out of 5 for that reason. A bit surprisingly, none of the usual complaints about XIII really jibed with my experience. Once you get past the first few hours, you are going to be dying a lot if you try to "just press X" through battles. But if you actually learn how the battle system works and use its class change mechanics effectively, it ends up being a consistently exciting, challenging experience, much more so than most ATB combat games in the series. The other common complaint is that most of the game is a linear series of hallways, with no towns to explore or intricate dungeons full of puzzles. To be honest, I never really missed either of these aspects, and given the nature of the main storyline (party on the run from the Evil Empire) fully understand why they weren't included. The reality is that most JRPGs (and especially Final Fantasy games) are just as linear and simply mask that fact more effectively, so to me this critique rings hollow. So that's the good...now for the bad. Essentially I would classify this as a great game for the first 20-30 hours, or more specifically, until shortly after you arrive in a certain new area towards the end and it starts to open up. At this point the combat difficulty spikes massively, the heretofore absorbing story of peril and interpersonal drama begins to collapse under the weight of its own excessive convolution Kingdom Hearts-style, and it turns out there's not much of anything to do in this big open world beyond the main story other than make your way through a massive collection of narratively minimal MMO-style monster hunts. The weapon upgrading system (which you will at this point probably be wanting to make more extensive use of due to the aforementioned difficulty spike) is also unnecessarily convoluted and reminiscent of a gacha mobile game, though these at least have the virtue of explaining themselves instead of making the player figure everything out for themselves or resort to a guide. TLDR: Final Fantasy XIII is neither as bad as its detractors, nor as good as its hardcore fans, make it out to be. I got it on sale for $6 and if you are able to do the same it's worth at least giving it a shot if you're still unsure. A final note: I did not experience any of the supposed issues with the PC port, but if you do, look up FF XIII Fix, as the modding community has done a great job in this regard.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
It is a negative review for being a bad port, the game will not run without the fix mod, and we are another two graphical mods looks better than games released in 2026. But if all this can be done by the comminity for free, why not the studio behind the game just work on patching the issue?
I don't think I need to say anything that hasn't already said on this. I barely got a third in apparently but can't stand this game anymore.
Der PC-Port von Final Fantasy 13 ist eine Katastrophe. Ohne Community-Patches bzw.
I guess the first note I'd like to make about FFXIII is I'm just really grateful for this experience. It's really rare that someone recommends me a piece of media that resonates so deeply with my soul. So I really want to extend a thank you to my brotha Blahaj Blast for recommending me this, after he beat my recommendation to him FFX. I had frustrations with this game, and I really thought I might just drop it but the characters depth, and relatability really stood out to me from the jump. For ex a protaganist like Lightning who is so cool and has this move forward only mindset but is repressing this inner trauma was so... beautifully written. I greatly appreciate every character Fang, Hope, Vanille, Sazh, Serah etc. I like how the game treated them giving each of them their own different personalities and stories. That's one of my favorites aspects of FF, I felt truly connected to these characters their struggles, pain, and battles they were fighting. I was really rooting for them and the game had me incredibly emotionally invested in the plot/characters. I could write a lot more however, I'll save it for my video essay. My favorite setting was easily Bodhum such a beautiful setting, the water, beach, fireworks, modern colorful architecture. Additionally, this game being an original xbox360 release from 2009 (which how, the graphics of this game are so beautiful its unreal for 2009.) That fact was extremely nostalgic for me. It took me back to when gaming was about going over to your homies house with the squad after school and running splitscreen mw2. The combat system was too slow thats my biggest critique, hell I switched to easy mode when I discovered that was a thing not because of the difficulty just to speed up fights. (switched back to normal for boss fights.) Give us more cutscenes, tighten up the combat so its slightly quicker early game, and I think this game gets way less mixed opinions. Aside from that the combat system challenged me and this game overall. I was on youtube/developing my own unique strategies with the paradigms to beat bosses or difficult mobs. I'll never forget how I was severely underleveled and beat Vanille's Eidolon with 100 left on the doom counters LOL. I love this game and will remember it forever, I cherish it and plan to play FFXIII-2 and Lightning Returns.
