Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've never played a Shadowrun game before, but as a fan of other turn-based games and DnD, I figured I'd give it a go. I've really enjoyed it so far: the writing is excellent, the world feels grimy and alive, and there's a lot of depth in the skill tree to build a character you enjoy playing. That said, 12.5hrs into my first run and...I'm going to have to start again. Without any sort of guidance or tutorial at the start (the tutorial is a laughably tiny booklet accessed through the menu) I automatically started playing the simplest character I could - Big Ork Go Bonk. Big Ork Go Bonk does not have any charisma. Big Ork Go Bonk does not understand the Matrix and avoids hacking at all costs. Big Ork Go Bonk has a big problem in the final missions when Charisma AND Hacking are mandatory to not be utterly destroyed. By this point, I vaguely understand how the gameplay works (outside of the Matrix) and am just crushed that I'll need to revert to a previous save or start again entirely to build a character that can actually progress. Still, it is a good game. Just don't make the same mistake I did and assume Big Ork Go Bonk is easier than other builds. It is...definitely not.

My favourite of the trilogy, I think it has the best story and setting. And the chars are the most likable too.
Knights of the Old Republic,
I thought Dragonfall was a big step up from Returns, and Hong Kong managed to potentially be even better. I think this game is a genuine masterpiece. I wish they'd made a fourth game... but I'm very happy with what we got, too. And it's even got custom scenarios!
Playing through again for the first time in years, still such a great game.

Poorly designed CRPG. The biggest flaw is that quest resolution is often extremely one-dimensional, with little regard for plausible alternative outcomes. #EXAMPLE 1 ------------------------------------ You're a courrier sent to deliver a messager to Bao, a triad enforcer. You discover the body of a dead merchant, summon its spirit and learn he was killed by Bao's gang for refusing to pay them for "protection". At this point any sane person would either kill Bao, or wish for the spirit to do so. So the spirit goes for revenge, and when right at Bao's doorstep, your companions force you to kill *the spirit* otherwise you wouldn't be able to complete your messanger quest and be in trouble. Forcing you to be scum, essentially. ------------------------------------ #EXAMPLE 2 ------------------------------------ You're hired to track down and kill a serial killer. When you finally find them, you also discover that the person who hired you, originally commissioned that same serial killer to murder someone, and is now trying to eliminate loose ends. A perfectly reasonable response would be to kill both the serial killer and your employer for commissioning a murder. The game simply doesn't allow it. I killed the serial killer, but instead of confronting my employer, the game forced me to accept hush money from them as the only way to conclude the quest. ------------------------------------ #EXAMPLE 3 ------------------------------------ Steve, a drag addict complains his dealer (Lee) "poisoned" him, and wants his money back. You go to confront the dealer, which raises few valid point, like "with all the drug Steve filters through his body, there is no surprise he's not feeling well" - which is a very good argument, besides I've conveyed the message, the refund was not granted, so my part is done. YET, the game now forces you these two dialogue options: 1) I'm not leaving empty-handed 2) You're gonna give me that money Either way, you're forced to pass from simply delivering a message, to extortion. Furthermore, even if you choose 1, Lee offer you a free dose for Steve. Giving more drugs to a drug addict? At this point I DEFINITELY want to tell him "keep it." and be out of this, yet the game forces a single dialogue option on you, which is "I'll take the drug and pass it to Steve". ------------------------------------ And this was the last drop, this is where I uninstalled. I was 10 hours in and that was the 5th time a nonsense resolution was forced upon my character making them look like a crooked with no morals. ...I might often play like a murdering hobo, but at least I act from a place of justice. And this game doesn't let you do that, it repeatedly forces you in bed with scum, which is extremely frustrating and there is no "role-playing" in that. There are hundreds of games better than this, go play those instead.
shadowrun is always worth your time, also the game is great but does have its.... issues at times
Rather no than yes
Honestly, the game is kinda dated in usability, in showing the goal, stakes, and such. I played for just 15 minutes and have zero desire to explore it further.
