Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Final Fantasy 13 is a notoriously divisive game, 13-2 fixes most of its glaring issues and aside from the PC port being literally unplayable without fan mods is a fantastic game. 13-3 Lightning Returns takes almost everything great from 13-2. tosses it out a window and replaces them with an annoying, completely unnecessary game over countdown that should just have been a toggle and what are essentially the worst kind of low level MMO fetch quests, which you HAVE to complete as they're the only way to gain stats. A surprisingly great final boss and some neat character moments can't save the game from its biggest issue. The thing is just SOO boring, it's a 30 hour slog where probably half that time is spent just walking around the same streets or empty open plain finding the npc or location needed to move onto the next fetch quest. If you bring up the FF13 series most people either argue over 13 or talk about how surprisingly good 13-2 is but Lightning Returns is barely ever mentioned. The whole thing is completely forgettable and probably the only reason it doesn't show up in more worst of FF lists is that people forget it exists.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

In my opinion, this is the best entry in the trilogy — especially the ending, which is exactly the kind of ending I'd want to write for my own game. The combat system sees a great evolution here, and I'd strongly recommend playing it as part of the full trilogy alongside the previous two entries. Fantastic story, great side quests, and a genuinely well-built open world — the best I've seen in a game (yes, even better than The Witcher or Baldur's Gate, in my opinion). The devs clearly evolved a lot after the previous two games in terms of world design, side content, and pacing — it's just excellent. Spent 130 hours on the trilogy total, 40 of which were on this game alone, which honestly felt slightly too long — if it had been 3-5 hours shorter, it would've been perfect. Didn't touch the optional content (the two extra chapters) — heard it's weak — but otherwise the game is fantastic, highly recommend it to everyone.
está re buena lightning
As part of a complete Final Fantasy marathon, Lightning Returns became the first game in the series that I simply could not continue playing. My biggest issue is the combat. Final Fantasy XIII's Paradigm system rewarded planning, party composition, and strategic decision-making. Lightning Returns abandons that entirely in favor of managing three outfit loadouts with separate ATB bars, swapping constantly as bars recharge, and relying on real-time dodges, guards, and attack timing. For players who enjoy action combat, that may be appealing. For me, it felt like all of the strategic depth I enjoyed in XIII had been replaced with execution-based gameplay that I found frustrating rather than engaging. The game's structure did not help. Much of the early experience revolves around timed quests, investigations, and running between objectives, while enemies constantly interrupt exploration. I never felt immersed in the world because I was being pulled into combat every few seconds. The story was an even larger hurdle. XIII already provided Lightning with a complete character arc. By the end of that game she had accepted her flaws, learned to trust others, and come to terms with Serah's choices. Lightning Returns reintroduces her as a near-mythological savior figure tasked with collecting souls before the end of the world. Rather than feeling like a natural continuation, it felt disconnected from what made XIII work in the first place. I understand why some people love this game. It is ambitious, unusual, and very different from its predecessors. Unfortunately, that difference is exactly why it failed for me. Instead of feeling like the conclusion to the XIII saga, it felt like an entirely different game wearing XIII's skin.
pq a lightning é tao linda?
Surprisingly, My Favorite of the Trilogy
Returning to Final Fantasy 13, after never beating it on release, one thing I have heard is that FF13-2 is the best and FF13-3 is a mixed bag. To my surprise, Lightning Returns ended up being my favorite for various reasons. It is my favorite in the trilogy, but also goes above many other Final Fantasies for me, too. From what I thought was FF13 fatigue while I was playing through FF13-2, this game has the charm and gameplay I was waiting for.
Pacing
This game is as open as you want it to be. Among the Main Objectives, you can decide to tackle them in whatever order you want. Additionally, the same can be said about the Side Quests. You can do as many, or as little, as you wish in whatever order you want. For a couple of reasons, with how the main mechanic in this game works, that aspect actually bodes itself well for the pacing of the game. With every decision comes a reward, progression. With every freedom comes efficient or casual time spent. You decide what or how much you do; How long this game takes is something you have control over.
Combat
Building off of what the trilogy has had before, Lightning Returns commits to it's ideas and executes them. FF13-2 felt like it had alot of ideas but didn't commit to any of them, creating some possible friction points. You ARE your 3-person Party in this game. 3 different setups, builds, JOBS, all controlled within a single Character - Lightning. This plays like an Action game at times, with various routes to success. All-Out Assault? Passive Defensive Play? Exploiting Weaknesses? How about....PARRY mechanics? You can experiment, find what playstyle works for you, and succeed with plenty of tactics. The combat in this game hides it well, but it truly is all the great features of previous Final Fantasy games combined into a single Character + modern Action game mechanics like Parry, Block, Combos. Enemies you encounter are susceptible to more than just different Elements of Magic. They can be weak to Parries, or Blocks, or simply timing the chain of Attacks. It is a very open, up to you, Combat system.
The Boogeyman
The infamous Zelda: Majora's Mask, Countdown mechanic...Let's talk about it. It is nowhere near as bad as it sounds. There are abilities to negate this mechanic outright. It is super lenient. You have plenty of time to do everything possible in this game, and have several days to spare, before finishing a playthrough. For example: this being my first, and blind, playthrough of the game, I was able to do everything in 3 in-game days. You have 13 days. It is super fair, especially when you use the tools the game gives to you to make the most of every bit of time given --- or stop it completely. To be fair, this mechanic alone is a big boon for me. I loved Majora's Mask and the implementation of this mechanic there as well. So, coming to this game unlocked that uber-efficient planning that Majora's Mask taught me long ago. The thing is...you don't need to be anywhere near as efficient as I was. Like I said, I only used 3 out of the 13 days to unlock the "secret" 14th Day. This game very much allows you to do everything in one go. If not, it almost seems designed to be played again. After your first playthrough, whether you do everything or not, you unlock New Game+ and a bunch of other features that will take your Gear much higher than you could before. None of it is needed, but it will certainly help guarantee that Perfect Ending and/or the optional Super Bosses/Dungeons you can expect from any Final Fantasy, if you didn't get that far your first playthrough.
English Version (french below) Where do I even begin with this game.... First of all, the main draw for me was the end of the FF XIII story, but I was kind of disappointed ? I know the series has always been a bit particular, but the story just went out of the window. It's a shame because the premise wasn't that bad, but the weird repetitive gameplay (even if I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be), the atrocious graphics despite what the previous two games were known for, the time limited questlines... And we're not talking about "this quest is during the night and this one is during the day", we're talking like "you have to be at this specific area between 12:00 and 14:00 in-game time. And I mean, I did not buy the game to have this weird cosplay fest with Lightning, it really looked more like a weird fantasy (no pun intended) from the devs than anything And it's honestly the same for the platinum. I'll admit there was very little that struck with me after the game ended, it mostly felt like a gigantic chore, which is a shame because I expected a lot from this game. The game really some sort of mandatory side-quest (yes you read that right) and fan-service cosplay fest, and I can't recommend it.
Completed from start to finish on linux without any problems once the program starts. It likes revalidating the files sometimes and sometimes gets stuck on compiling vulkan shaders but once it starts it runs perfectly - use the game's own controller input not steam input. I see other reviews suggesting you play on easy but I did a blind playthrough on normal and finished nearly everything with about 4 or 5 days to spare, it is probably the easiest game of the trilogy in my opinion. I agree with the coverage of the other reviews about the game itself, 7/10.
I gave up playing this. It gives me too much of the same vibe as FF13-2, where most of the game was just fillers to justify inserting the story into a game. It's basically a generic "MMO" like/solo J-RPG where you go around helping random generic NPC by accomplishing quests to acquire rewards, mixed in with a "dress up" game where you unlock outfits for Lightning (from what I could see on the wiki, there are hundreds of them). The only incentive to play this is because it's Final Fantasy 13 themed. If that's good enough for you and you absolutely love Lightning, go ahead. Personally, I got bored within the first hours, because this isn't Final Fantasy 13. Some part of it barely reminded me of Final Fantasy 15, which I actually enjoyed playing even if it strays away from the FF genre. If the only purpose of this game is just a "happily ever after" ending, I think I'm just going to watch a Youtube video and call it a day. --- I barely started playing the game, so I still have plenty more to see. But as a starter, I can say I don't like what I've seen so far. I liked the original Final Fantasy 13, and although I had hope I would like 13-2 too, the entirety of the game felt like a pointless chore to me. For now, I'm afraid the same will be true for this game. On the plus side, it looks nice graphically speaking. But then again, it was Playstation 3 era (what I consider to be good enough). Even if when I first played Final Fantasy 13, I was afraid the cinematics cost them more money to make, than the game itself. For some unknown reasons, the game feels stuttery, even though I have a very beefy computer that can run modern games (2022-2026) at 4K. By default, the fps is supposed to be fixed at 30, but it keeps fluctuating between 27 and 29, which feels way more stuttery than it should. And if I set it to dynamic fps, it seems to fluctuate between 40 and 60, which doesn't make it any better. I've played plenty of 30 fps games which were a lot smoother than this Edit: It looks like all the stutter problem stems from running the game in fullscreen, even at lower resolution, which doesn't make sense. The moment I set it to windowed, all the stutters are gone, and the game feels smooth. Problem is, either you set a lower resolution which results in a smaller window never floating perfectly at the centre of the screen, or you set a higher resolution which doesnt perfectly fill the screen horizontally, but it will most definitely overflow vertically at the bottom. I was also surprised to see these settings as a menu which appears as a bar above the game, rather than an in-game option. Otherwise, this game gives me the same vibe as with FF10-2, FF13-2 and Dirge of Cerberus. They're reusing the characters from past franchise just to cash on it. The dialogs are kind of cheesy, and some characters are repeating some in-universe explanations over, and over, and over, and over again. So far, the writing is closer to your average low quality J-RPG than every of the main Final Fantasy games (like, say, FF4, FF5, FF6, FF7, FF8, FF10, FF12, FF13; I haven't played the 9th so I cannot say). The plot is... Strange, to say the least. It doesn't have any direct connection to what happened in the previous game, even if the game is talking about the events that transpired previously. But like I mentioned previously, they just needed an opportunity to cash on the popularity of the character(s). The combat system is similar yet different from what I remember from the previous games. In FF13, you had to wait for the bars to fill up to perform actions; some of which used one or several sections of the bar. In this one, you have a gauge which fills up, and some actions will consume more or less of it (as quantity, rather than sections). But the difference is you have some amount of control, allowing you to walk around the battle zone, as well as the ability to guard to block an attack (with the possibility to time it for a perfect guard). I'm still too early to determine whether or not it's going to be annoying. But from what I've read online, the "Easy mode" is actually the "Normal" difficulty, and the "Normal mode" is the "Hard" difficulty. So I picked "Normal" to see for myself. On the plus side, from within the in-game options before starting a game, you have the option to enable downloadable contents. This allows you to redeem a bunch of free weapons/armours/outfits with somewhat better stats and abilities than the basic stuff you're given when starting the game. That should make the experience slightly more enjoyable.
