While the game looks lovely and is a dream for life sim, adventure, and farming players... the card system is so cool, the art style is amazing, the atmosphere gives me shivers... I cannot in good conscience recommend it while even the first few starting quests are so bugged. I'm seeing many other posts where people can't progress because the dialogues won't fire. Only a bit in, I seem to be locked where all my questgivers won't talk anymore- they're just stuck with dialogue boxes above their head. Seeing other people mention the issue at other points even 30 days ago, so this kind of thing really needs to be addressed. I suspect my review will become positive once the game can be played without critical errors.
I feel so bad for this lovely game. It launched too early. Core systems were not in place. Combat was literally the glitchiest I have seen in a modern game. The world felt … a little stretched out. Not empty exactly, but like I was traveling a bit too long to get to interesting things. I’m not sure why they launched when they did. Maybe pressure to start making money, maybe just error. But this is truly a very sweet, beautiful-looking game that has knee-capped itself with bad early reviews and impressions due to launching not even half-baked, but a quarter baked. I ended up putting it down because it felt like a reskin of games I have played a million times before: get iron, make a sword, turn fruit to jam, find a missing hat or whatever. But I’m recommending this game, because it truly has heart and a unique aesthetic. I can SEE what the devs are aiming for, and I hope they get there someday. My top recommendation: more unique NPC dialogue. Personally I think one of the best things Animal Crossing got (mostly) right early on was a unique thing that each NPC says every day, and if you miss it, you miss it. This game would really benefit from something like that.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Let me start by saying I LOVE this game. The visual style, the mix of game play between farming, building, ranching, questing, battles, and tons of conversation options are great. However - it is basically unplayable at the moment because you can only really save at home. If you save anywhere else (from the menu or using a save bed), and you die - you will be teleported back to a tent near(ish) your home. You also respawn with significantly less health after you die. I have also broken MANY quests. If you lead monsters into villages, get into battles with other animals, get villagers involved in fights, or as I did, get a bear wedges into an archway into a city - the quest will be BORKED. It will never work again. And it will stay in your quest menu forever. I also somehow found myself into a blank part of the NE corner of the map (though I thought maybe I could complete the island quest that way) - and fell through the map into the void for two minutes before I respawned in the tent near my house. As much as I love this game - I can't keep streaming it or playing it off stream until MAJOR fixes are employed. That being said - if you want to see how many ways you can break a game - get to work, kids!
Nevermind the minor bugs that people blow genuinely out of proportion, they almost deterred me from trying the game only to find they were barely worth noting. I started this figuring I'd get a simple and discardable lighthearted life sim experience and instead I got a surprisingly expansive and well-written adventure full of despair, sorrow and so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wolves, holy hell do I hate wolves now. Were I to have a complaint, it would be that the developers seem to have entirely given up on adding depth to the combat system and adding weapon variety to it; which seems like the most common sense thing to do in a game like this, specially given how much forced combat there is involved in it. They add other things instead, don't get me wrong - fun stuff in their own right. But it feels extremely bizarre to not be able to use anything other than swords. The same sword. With the same animations. Enemies have a bigger variety of weapons that you do. Humanoid enemies, with your same proportions, have a wide arrangement of different weapons they can use with unique animations and all... it's just weird and admittedly a bit annoying, specially playing co-op or fighting alongside NPCs all of which will be using the exact same weapons and animations as you. Again, a very strange choice. But they seem committed to that path, so what can you do? Enjoy the game for what it does have, which is a very lovingly crafted world, great ambience and fun systems to enjoy - if with very superficial NPCs for the most part.
Its a nice relaxing game but 1. it has a lot of bugs 2. i cannot craft or even find a new blueprint or even buy at the marketplace a new stove for my kitchen , since the beginning i have the brick stove and its ugly -_- 3. cellar is not available 4. housing stuff and decorations are very limited , at least provide hidden blueprints so we can craft them 5. expand the map , i want new locations to explore. 6. and one last thing about my NPC wife or husband, i cannot request from them anything and its kinda useless
This game is very confusing to pick up and play. I see plenty of resources around, but no way to harvest them. Some lady said there's a guy that just abandoned a cart full of tools somewhere, but after running around and being stabbed a few times by bandits, I cannot find it anywhere. Three days in game, a packed inventory, and there's not a single useful thing I can do. Over two hours in-game, and not one moment of fun, just frustration.
Hmmmm, I've played 20 hours of this game, its pleasant and cosy but I didn't feel the pacing of the main storyline was correct nor did I care for the many (any..) of the NPC characters. Socialising and building relationships is tiresome and confusing. The main story line should run slower and be more dependent on building your farms resources and capabilities. I won't be finishing the game.
Incredibly slow progression and needs a lot of quality of life improvements. It also does a poor job of explaining how the game works.
Do not buy, even if trailers look good. Game is full of bugs, even if it states it full release, it feels like playing beta. Game has game breaking bugs that cannot be fixed and i encounter bugs every 10 minutes. Most of my gametime is me afk googling how to fix things but no luck. Main quest bugging with no way to go foward was the last straw. I bought two copies, for me and my companion and spend over 40€ for a game that does not work. i would not mind if the game had some bugs but its full of them and most of them are game breaking and wont let you continue your save file anymore.
This game is so fun, there is a lot to do, i love the art style and i'm very happy that i gave it a try, comparable to echoes of plum grove but i do prefer this game.
