A decent game to ''escape'' to, but not something that peaks my interest as a history buff. Enough of that, though! Let's get to the pros and cons! Pros: * You learn the basics of economics, from diplomacy to mustering of the military. * Focuses on not just one single ''historical'' event but, rather, a nice handful of ''historical'' events. I put ''historical'' in quotations because the game does take liberties because it focuses on real-time strategy. * Allows players to choose which side to fight on and also what country to run! Cons: * A bit pricy when not on sale. * Game takes unnecessary liberties when it comes to historical figures. For starters, they will die too early! George II died in 1760, and Dr. Samuel Johnson died in 1784. Do I recommend this game? Yes. Though, if I were you, I'd get it now when it is on sale! Goodness knows when this game will go back to full price! Oh, and be sure to make sure its minimum requirements meet with your rig's specs! Aside from the liberties the devs took to make this real-time strategy game, I'd rate this game: 7/10!
Great game. Lost a lot of hours to this. Learning curve isnt too bad, if you like Civ 3, this is for you.

A test run for the infinitely better Victoria II, just get that instead. Not an awful game just aged and undercooked
Uno dei capolavori di Paradox, purtroppo i quasi vent'anni sulle spalle si sentono tutti ed è diventato molto laborioso cercare di farlo partire oggi sui sistemi moderni: recensione negativa solo per questa ragione, ma ciò non cancella i bei ricordi che conservo del gioco. Cheers...al mio primo gestionale made in Paradox.

Русификатора с самого появления игры здесь не было и до сих пор нет (хотя в дисковой версии он БЫЛ и для игры на русском приходится извращаться с поисками перевода, при 3/4 уже мертвых ссылок на него), выглядит весьма и весьма примитивно даже по меркам 2007 года (Crusader Kings первая и то смотрится приятнее). Под её заунывные унылые мелодии можно хоронить людей. Вывод: на помойку истории.
