Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Aug 22 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

From the creator of 'Plague Inc: Evolved' comes a unique and deeply engaging political/military strategic simulation.
In Rebel Inc: Escalation, the war is ‘over’ - but we all know that doesn't mean anything. In order to stabilise a war-torn country, you need to balance competing military and civilian priorities to win the hearts and minds of the people, whilst also stopping a deadly insurgency from seizing power!
Following on from the global mega hit 'Plague Inc.' with over 160 million players, Rebel Inc: Escalation offers a deeply engaging, strategic challenge inspired by the complexities and consequences of modern counter insurgency. It has received acclaim from international development experts and was even featured at a major international peace conference!

8 regions to stabilise - Deploy to wildly different strategic environments, including the gentle farms of ‘Saffron Fields’, or the impenetrable forests of ‘Distant Steppe’. Work to defend the ‘Azure Dam’ from the Insurgency, or develop unique new strategies to counter the drug trade in ‘Opium Fields’.
8 unique governors - Each one with radical new abilities to master. Choose the ‘Economist’ to receive an entire year’s income in one go or the ‘Warlord’ to train a personal militia. Field an army of heavy armour with the ‘Tank Commander’, or tap into the black-market with the ‘Smuggler’.
Hyper-realistic - Inspired by Afghanistan, the simulation is highly detailed, containing real world development initiatives and an innovative representation of counter insurgency tactics. It has been praised by the World Bank and was even featured at a major international peace conference.
Campaign Mode - Conduct large-scale operations across multiple regions. Carefully manage resources and choose unique upgrades in a persistent world with 150+ Player Tactics, Map Features and Insurgent Tactics to radically mix up gameplay!
Vs Multiplayer - Take control of the Insurgency to try and topple the government in your opponent’s Region, whilst trying to stabilise your own! Dynamically scaling difficulty ensures that players of different skill levels can have a good, challenging game.
Co-Op Multiplayer - Work together to simultaneously stabilise two separate Regions, sending soldiers and resources to your partner to achieve your goals. Or jump into a Co-Op Campaign of escalating difficulty.
Challenge Mode - Compete against the Steam Community on randomised Weekly Challenges, including an extra hard mode for the best of the best.
Custom Scenarios & Scenario Creator - Explore a world of fresh new ways to play with official and community created Scenarios, or develop your own share them with other players via Steam Workshop. Who said Nation Building was hard?
Advanced civilian and military AI - Sophisticated narrative algorithms model the needs of local populations, while deadly insurgent attacks put constant pressure on your operation.
Gorgeous Graphics - Stabilise a beautifully rendered 3D world that responds to your actions and thrives as you provide jobs and services. Drone cams and civilian TV channels bring your operation to life and show you what's happening on the ground.
Rebel Inc: Escalation builds on the original critically acclaimed gameplay of Rebel Inc. with multiple significant, all-new features, enhanced music, improved 3D graphics for PC/Mac, online multiplayer and steam workshop support.
An important note: Although a fictional game, Rebel Inc. looks at important real world issues and we have made every effort to deal with them sensitively. The game has been extensively researched and has been developed in cooperation with leading regional politicians, business people and journalists as well as international charities, experts and governments.

Reviews
You can deny civilian casualties and it mostly works, 10/10 big yahu approved

I want to tell you why I uninstalled the game. The game is engaging, challenging and complex. For a while though. The first issue is with campaigns. I started the first campaign, which is split in 5 missions. I failed the 5th mission, and because of that, I failed the entire campaign and have to restart from the 1st mission. Not from the 5th, but the 1st. That is unacceptable for me. I gave my time to this game and enjoyed it, but I will not restart from scratch just because the designers want me to. I should have been given the chance to restart mission 5, not the entire arc. For me, it shows a disrespect for my time. So I uninstalled the game. But I invite you to try it anyway, and if you don't mind starting from scratch if you fail, then I hope you enjoy it. The second and main issue is that after a few missions, you realize that you're doing the same thing over and over. You invest in education and healthcare, maybe anti-corruption measures, then you get attacked and you just throw soldiers at the problem until you win (or lose). The map is different, but the approach is the same for every game. So you might like this game, give it a try, but buy it on sale.
Play on realistic mode: insurgents "retreat" past your armies into freed zones just to screw you. Yes, just like in real life, you can just walk right by your opponents with no ill effects and get to your goal!
今天这游戏成功预言委瑞内拉总统马杜罗被捕😆😆😆😆
This game is great for anyone who wants a challenge in chaos management because geez there isn't a game that doesn't force you to at least keep your eyes open. As someone who only likes playing Mega-Brutal, I realized just how fine tuned this game was to people who are especially experienced. This game while yes, requires you to play in a certain fashion such as getting PR and sticking to a general strategy, a game can so in so many ways and its up to you to improvise and plan ahead. As I got better at this game it become rather obvious that luck wasn't a big as a factor as I thought as most of the time a lack of planning or a wrong move is your demise. I appreciate this game for that reason that it forces me to not just react to what's on screen but to utilize my intuition that is built with experience. This game changes as you get better at it and it never gets old. Now for my more technical review: This game is difficult, but not unfair. I've played for quite a while and here's my opinion on every feature of the game other than multiplayer. Main Game: Each map provides a different way to play and some are just more difficult than others but its your job to remedy that issue. Governors/Advisors: Most advisors are good in their own way, if you focus on utilizing the benefits rather than remedying the consequences, you'll most likely lose. However, Tank Commander and Development Director need work because they seem more of a challenge than a governor that's supposed to help you. To me, the benefits never outweigh the consequences and I think that could be reworked. For advisors there is nothing wrong with, they all have a purpose (more favorited than others) and the new recent ones add a player tactic for a small cost which can go a longer way. Initiatives: All of them have their unique purposes and this is where the game kind of takes its own direction depending on when and where you pick said initiatives. If I had to change one of them it would be Democratic Transition. Man does this one suck because I am in sure belief that it could be bugged when given the option to carry out elections. Say you are given a 15% chance to lose big time, more often than not, you hit the 15% and are punished severely. The odds for some reason even when in your favor never represent the number put on screen and that baffles me. Insurgents: The nightmare you won't stop having. These guys can be so aggressive and yet so passive at the same time. The main difficulty with them is unpredictability and I like that. On Casual its easy, Normal okay, Brutal a bit spicy and Mega-Brutal ultra oppressive. To me, Mega-Brutal was never unfair and that's good that it isn't. They are what sparks chaos after all and their management is what makes this game difficult yet entertaining even after playing hundreds of times. Corruption: Another meter to manage, its not that deep, on Mega-Brutal this obviously stings a lot but its necessary and oddly realistic. Campaign Mode: A roguelike that is really cool and I'm honestly addicted to it. My only issue is that it can get old with a lot of repeating features and tactics on both sides and well the point of a roguelike to be random. Often there's a meta to what you should pick or do and I think a bit of randomness would fix the issue. Weekly Challenges: These challenges can sometimes be real easy or actually just unfair. I don't play these too often so I can't say much about them other than if you want something different from time to time. Scenarios: These are cool and change the game up a lot, I would play these any day because they're well made. Otherwise, the game runs really nicely and its UI is awesome and I can't wait to see if there are more updates on this game because this game while good already has much more potential to be past awesome.
