if your into sao like i am, stay away from this one. the devoloper made a mockery of both the anime and manga that this game is based on.
Honestly this game broke my heart. I'm a huge SAO fan, but this game just feels like a money grab. The game is beatiful the world looks great, characters are amazing and i felt sad that it was over even though the game after around 20 hours started to feel like a chore to just end it (took me 75 hours to 100%). The world is empty, the maps are too huge and you have to run around a map to find useless chests that have almost nothing valuable other than consumables, which you don't need if you actually complete the quests and pick up items from the ground you will have enough items to craft them, which also is useless because the price for the items at the store is so low that you can max out the eq in 10 hours because the money drop is broken. Character customization is limited and you can't change it later on so if you do something wrong and you want to change it later, you have to restart the whole game which wasted me around 10 hours of the first save. Every single enemy is a copy paste and do some color changes, add bigger horns, bigger weapon, make it fatter. I'm not even gonna comment on Kobold queen, disgusting and disturbing. The difficulty system is useless, atleast in the last Key Stone dungeon trials, it almost does not matter what difficulty you play on, the damage almost doesn't change, your damage against mobs also doesn't change or atleast that's how i felt, but it doesn't matter, because if there is a bossfight and the boss has 2 side elite mobs, and then he spawns another 2 elite mobs and 3 other normal mobs you are going to get gangbanged from every side, not even able to stand up to heal or do anything. I had moments that i couldn't even stand up for 1 second because the enemies kept on piling on me and i had nothing else to do than just let them until the aggro changed. Around midgame you get so op that you don't even care and you just go to the boss fight tank everything, spam leftclick and that's how the gameplay is after a few hours. I'm not gonna comment on the random addition of the safe areas that work like bonfires because i get it it is needed in the game even if it wasn't in the anime, but golden gates and arcs? wtf are those random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to take your time to make you feel like the game is longer than it is. Randomly generated dungeons are a joke, you get a dungeon that is supposedly different every run, and yes it is, but you get like 5 or 6 rooms that just are shuffled every time you enter and if there is more than one floor in the dungeon it is the same floor twice sometimes thrice. I loved the main cast of my guild, the characters were so lovely i enjoyed the game thanks to them. But the writing sometimes was so dumb i couldn't get it. We have Iori which is supposed to be a leader of our group, so every mission you finnish she calls the shots to go back to the city and rest. Then when you meet a new guy that joins your group she randomly says let's go deeper into the dungeon just so that we get crushed by the boss and the new guy can show off (like wtf). Also when you play the missions you can have only one partner, sometimes there is another character running around with you but you can't control his actions and is there just for the conversations, but the problem is, when we are playing a game where you die irl if you die in game, they just decide: aight we gonna head out, they just run forward to the boss area, run through all the mobs in dungeons and fight the boss/wait infront of boss room, like brother it's a death game. They cry all the time they are scared and wanna leave, but then they go in like it's not a big deal. This pissed me off everytime i just wished they'd do it another way and they'd just be invisible when i fight or something. Also i hope the game actually continues to add floors over time, make smaller maps and more variety of mobs. And i would love to see what happens between Zash and Stina and maybe MC Iori. Well, now the part that got me fked up the most, the main objective of the game.
As you probably know the game is centered around SAO Beta, beta ends, then you comeback on official launch and get stuck in it, then just like in anime you get 1 month time skip so after this time we get to watch Kirito fight Illfang the Kobold lord, the boss of first floor and then we go to the 2nd floor so the actions plays around the first two floors. Two floors out of a hundred, and halfway first floor you and your friend Iori get a weird vision of an old god of death, if he ressurects everyone dies and ♥♥♥♥. Brother please tell me, why would Kayaba Akihiko make a side quest for beta testers only to find special weapons just to fight a death god ON THE FIRST TWO FLOORS OF THE GAME? I get it if it was around 75 or close to a 100th floor because then we already survived alot got leveled alot, BUT THE FIRST FLOOR? Yeah i doubt the person who spent years of his life creating the game and planning everything, also participated in the game, would just say, "Yeah ♥♥♥♥ it let's put the weight of 10,000 players lives on the shoulders of a few kids.
Also in the Town of the Beginnings at the monument of life you can't search for Heathcliff bruh. But the worst part is that Aincrad got hit with that replacement treatment... Well that was probably everything i just wanted to vent about how dissapointed i am how they butchered the love of my life. So in short. The game is hugely overpriced for the fact that it feels like it was rushed to just make quick money off of sao fans. The game feels like it should be around 15-20€ not more. In my opinion if you want to see the game, just go to youtube and see if there is a Cutscene movie. Unless you like seeing your character in game like me, then wait for a discount. By the way, this is the second game from Bandai Namco this year, that feels like a cashgrab, first one being Code Vein II also butchered my boy so hard it is sad. Gaming is dead and im never going to preorder a Bandai Namco game again. Sorry for the schizo rambling im just mad, have a great day, God bless.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 1: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Hot garbage. I could write a lengthy review going into the details of what makes this game a horrible experience for any SAO fan, but I wouldn't say anything others haven't said before me. I even doubt that the devs, or whoever designed this game, have ever touched a single MMORPG, much less read or seen a full season of SAO. Steaming hot garbage. That being said.. If you don't know what SAO or an MMORPG is, but you like JRPGs, buy this when it's on sale. You're the only one who can be pleasantly surprised, and I envy you for that.
Open World? Ah...
game is trash ♥♥♥♥ Ai that do jack to help in a fight but will run off and drag more mobs into it and repeat ♥♥♥♥ bosses best thing they can do is bug out and spam the same skill without stopping so just waste 5 mins dodging for them to just keep spaming non stop game is trash just a money grab with no actual effort put into it
Y'all ever seen that clip of Iggy Azalea rapping on the radio and some dude calls in, tells her it's trash and to get off the air waves? That's how I feel about Echoes of Aincrad. Game has four enemy types. Boars, Wolves, Kangaroos and the navigation. Maybe 5 if you count the stupid out of bounds area markers. Solid $30 game but for $110 to get everything you'd be better off helping the USA debt relief program on Venmo and I'm obviously joking but this game sucks so bad.
Do not buy this game! At least not if you are buying it based an the preview and information findable before lauch.. In the most positive way they had to cut and adjust promised stuff because of somethinf ourside of their own fault but neglected to update the public. If a more negative way it is a case of we have a great game concept with an allready populair name.. So frick all we sell it like this. Sadly the tutorial is on its own a minim of 4 hours and that is trained speedruner speed. Meaning by the time you figured out you did not get the game you thought you paid for you will not be alligable for a refund (and I do think that is on purpous so even when called out money will not have to be returned) Even when explaining the situation around it (in my case I preordered the game so I did not have reviews to go by) steam refers back to the 2 hour rule and is like: tough ♥♥♥♥. So this game is a cheap money grab extreemly expesive for what it actualy is as an game. It lives of the name and makes sure that playera can't get a refund by making an turorial that on it's own is almost 1/3 th of the game. Yes the game is about 30 to 50 hours long. depending on your playstyle but you pay the same or more as for games with 200 hours of game time. So spend your money wisely and avoid this debacle of a game
It's a cash grab. 2 floors of a 100 floored game for $70 isn't worth it (or $100 for the DLCs) They don't even mention this in the game description which means they know they're duping their fans. There are better adaptations on Roblox.
