About

Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand introduces an all-new standalone wave defense experience, delivering thrilling, highly-replayable Company of Heroes gameplay. This standalone experience does not require you to own any previous Company of Heroes titles, making it easy for you to jump straight into the action and have fun, whether you’re a longtime fan or a new player.

Prepare to dig in, build layered defenses, and survive against escalating waves of enemy forces across 12 increasingly difficult rounds, including intimidating bosses and dynamic battlefield events unique to Final Stand.

Featuring a roguelite progression system, players construct a custom battlegroup from the ground up suited to their style of play. After each wave, choose between randomized units or abilities that persist for the duration of the run, ensuring that no two playthroughs feel the same.
Persistent upgrades like powerful perks and unique abilities will be unlocked between runs across faction-specific progression trees. These upgrades meaningfully change how each faction plays, encouraging experimentation, long-term mastery, and repeat play at higher levels.

Final Stand captures the classic Company of Heroes feeling of those pivotal moments where when faced with overwhelming odds, preparation, adaptability, and decisive command determine survival.

It's currently not too amazing, especially for its price. I can definitely see ways to get better; the ideas are there. The randomized unit selections and unit buffs allow you to veer away from a singular meta unit type being used at all times (except Wehrmacht bunkers...). The randomized enemy types require you to find ways to make your composition flexible enough to deal with everything, from long-ranged artillery to super tanky boss-wave infantry. despite your randomized unit selections. Some unit disadvantages can be covered by simply playing more creatively, given the unit and perk abilities. It's fun when it works. However, there are FIVE maps, four of which play the exact same because it's the same three-parallel-attack-lanes defense map. I don't know why it can't have even slightly different setups; a map with four lanes, map where the HQ is in the center and enemies come from every direction, maybe a map with single chokepoint but the enemies are super buffed and numerous. There's also nothing more to do after beating Expert3 difficulty; you could grind the perk points to get stronger, but to what end, if you already can beat the hardest content handily? It could get better with more stuff to do: more maps, some balance fixing, and a lower price point. All of which are expectations of an Early Access indie game, but this isn't one, which means there isn't actually such a promise.

Not Worth the price. The concept is fun but releasing this as a standalone with only a few maps is ridiculous. the maps get repetitive very quickly. it's fun and simple which is fine but price vs content just isnt worth it, wait for a big sale
什么叫我玩了19个小时之后 我打出来的属性点全部被清空了? 如果连最基础的产品稳定性都无法保证就出来卖那么就是欺诈。
The Final Stand is an ok DLC, nothing more, nothing less. Is it worth the price is subjective, but I've been hooked on it since buying. I've been waiting for some commanders to go on sale, but since its been a while from their release and they never went for less than 20% I decided to grab this one while my 30% off lasts. For some reason, you get it both in CoH3 and as a separate library entry, but in there achievements don't unlock, for now at least. So, what did I get for my money? Five maps, all the units randomly unclocking durring the mission, and several difficulty options. The start is a bit slow, you can hardly hope to hit Expert++ difficulties with your stock army, but completing missions gets you perk points, which you can use to upgrade your units, give them bonuses, upgrade outposts to better defend themselves, etc. You have to finish 12 waves, and after that you get the option to hit the endless mode, for now I've only managed to hit wave 17. My friend also started playing and we are having a blast. Some might find annoying that units and abilities are random picks in the mission, but being able to grab whatever you want might turn boring fast using always the same things. This way at least you are forced to adapt and use whatever the game randomly gets you to pick. Reminds of of selecting a random loadout in games like Helldivers.
I've now 100% it and played a few hours, the mode is enjoyable and it's what i've always wanted for Co-op vs ai since i don't bother with PVP. However, there's a few notable bugs that can be slightly frustrating at times (e.g engineers not repairing and for some reason pathing is genuinely horrendous at times with vehicles) it desperately needs something that you can put points into after finishing a perk tree, take notes from Starcraft 2's co-op mode and let us upgrade stats bit by bit with every level we go up. Overral, it's solid and fun for someone who enjoys PVE like me.
Personally, I love this addition. It's basically what I play most of the time in COH3, just with a specialized system for it. Is it revolutionary? No. Is it fun? Yes, very much. There's lots of room for growth here, and plenty that they can easily modify or add to make this not just good but great.
