ARIA: History Untold. ARIA: History Untold. First Impressions. What can I say about this game? Overall, my impression is more on the negative-neutral side rather than positive. I would only recommend considering a purchase if it's at a significant discount, especially given the current state of its in-game bundles and content. Pros: Aspiring "Civ-Killer". In some aspects, it feels like a more polished and fresher product than what a hypothetical "Civilization 7" might offer at this stage. Innovative gameplay mech-s. are truly pleasing. The system that allows you to add not just abstract improvements to cities or regions, but specific projects that tangibly enhance their effects. This principle is cleverly applied to all aspects of the gameplay: war, construction, diplomacy, and science. Technical Stability. During my entire time playing, I didn't encounter any critical bugs or crashes, which is an unquestionably positive and, alas, not so common phenomenon these days. On the other hand, ii as is often the case in strategies, is sometimes too straightforward and predictable, which can slightly sour the experience in the long run. Nevertheless, it's a quite suitable option for a leisurely evening game after work. Cons: Forced and unhistorical ALL!! Seriously, I can understand the developers' desire to reflect the role of women in the history of the last three centuries—that's quite justified. Or, for example, take Georgia: even in our history textbooks note Queen Tamar, and she is perhaps the only one remembered as an independent political figure. Although the same Georgia gave the Russian Empire brilliant leaders, brains and politics: Chavchavadze, Bagration, Andronikov, Tsitsianov. I won't even mention the USSR. But pushing certain figures as the greatest rulers of the Middle Ages solely based on gender? That's overkill. Let's look at real history: the Hundred Years' War in France, the figure of Eleanor of Aquitaine—an exception that proves the rule. What was the real status of women in Europe? Using Joan of Arc is undoubtedly as a tragic figure. But her greatness lies not in political wisdom or statecraft, like that of Elizabeth I or Catherine the Great. Her role is saint!!! I won't even mention the Arab and Asian world. Correct—behind the men, because an influential woman was considered dangerous and "harmful" to the patriarchal order. I might still believe in relatively equal rights among the Scands, and even then only before the adoption of Christianity (Sweden, excuse me, but did you have any significant female rule? And CHistina ruler was of a different faith). Eastern Europe? How long Jadwiga ruled? But no, instead, we are stubbornly offered abolitionists!! who are of no interest to anyone outside the US. And, to be objective, many of them should be called terrorists and murderers, as their activities were often sponsored by Protestants to incite conflict between the South and the North. Learn the damn subject matter, don't just blindly follow trendy narratives. At last, content. This is truly disappointing. If in the same "Civilization V" or "VI", in "Old World" or even in "Humankind", I can expect incredible diversity in diplomatic, intrigues, political and strategies, here everything seems too clichéd, oversimplified. It lacks depth and multi-layeredness. Prolonged and artificially Gameplay. I can't find another word for it. There's a distinct feeling that the developers, in places, literally tried to "fit a square peg in a round hole," artificially stretching game sessions through cumbersome mechanics and less-than-dynamic progression. As an afterword: Graphics and Sound.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

A heavily slept on Civ alternative. Micro managing gets alittle tedious but its very fun
Klar Kaufempfehlung
Decent but not great game. Like a cross between Civ, Anno and HK. Sort of like its designers said what would happen if we took Civ, doubled-down on the micro-management but then mixed in some of Humankind's simplicity in tactical matters to offset. Weird choice. But I find it's lack of Mac/OS support shockingly disappointing. My read is that there's no long-term plans as they've already capped their maximum market.
The visual detail is outstanding! It's always fun just to zoom in and see what your people are up to. The buildings are highly detailed as well. The combat animations are interesting but not very fleshed out, as in there are no tactics really. The diplomacy is fairly straightforward but not very complex. It's up to you how much you like micro-managing resources and supply lines. For example, if you're into getting grain, then building a bakery, then making gourmet meals, etc., then this is the game for you. I do wish the civ leaders had voice lines in their native languages, but maybe that and other features will be present in a sequel (hopefully).
Ok so first time I started it... Got totally overwhelmed and refunded it. It was too much. I wasn't in the mindset I guess. I waited a few days and decided to give it another shoot ( Same week btw ) And holy ♥♥♥♥. When you are minded for a real X4 game like Civ but you don't want the ♥♥♥♥♥ Civ 7.... Ara is for you. Give it time. Give it a chance. It's crafting system is insanely deep but it's a great game. Marathon time on the game is much longer then Civ 6 is. Actually it's so long that it's closer to modded Civ 6. I was at turn 433 and I was still in Era 5 of the game ( Out of 12 ) it's great. Your stats mean something. Having 14 pop mean something. It mean 1 million in your city and you see it actually grow. It's great.
I enjoy this game. I’m happy to see that there are developers that are trying to break the mold with 4X style games. Although this game has its issues, it’s a blast to play due to its uniqueness.
Started playing because of the changes made in 1.4. A surprisingly deep resource management sim where you are rewarded for thinking big and planning small. This definitely satisfies the one more turn itch. At times the crafting management becomes cumbersome and the lack of tools to help you navigate the complicated supply chains can be frustrating. But getting the resources balanced just right, or picking up a new resource through settling (or assimilating) a new city can be a great dopamine hit. If they keep producing updates like 1.4 then they will certainly be a top contender for the crown in this genre.
