Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Loads of voicelines present in the original Y3 are nonexistant in this remake, at times punches just stop registering, the dark ties is short but definitely not bad, its similar to kiwami 2 majima dlc, dont expect much content

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 6: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a good game but a terrible remake. I enjoyed my time with it, but it suffers from two major issue: It's still Yakuza 3, and its also closer to a Gaiden game than it is the previous Kiwami games. The Gaiden games (The Man Who Erased His Name, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii) split combat into two styles. One for single combat, and one for crowd control. In those games, it works pretty well. Yakuza style and Mad Dog styles are basically the greatest hits of Kiryu and Majima respectively, while Agent and Sea Dog styles were the new crowd control style. In Kiwami 3, we instead get a horribly butchered Dragon style with almost all of its crowd control moves removed or nerfed, and the new Ryukyu style which is... just fine I guess. Its not a particularly fun fighting style. Here some other bullet points about the issues with this game. - Most substories from Yakuza 3 are gone. There are only 30 substories now, which is less than the Gaiden games. Yakuza 3 had over 100, although most sucked tbh. - Komaki is gone and replaced by the master of Ryukyu style. He inexplicably teaches you the Tiger Drop even though that's Komaki's move. - A major character death is retconned. - Another retcon makes it literally impossible for Yakuza 4 to happen after Kiwami 3. - Revelations are entirely gone. No more hilarious cutscenes that teach you new moves. I still think the game is good. Combat isn't block-heavy unlike the original. The Haisai Girls storyline is fun even if it is basically just the same thing as the Joryu Clan and Pirate Colliseum from Gaiden and Pirate Yakuza respectively. The visuals are solid. Theres some new substories that are pretty fun, like the one featuring the real Akiko Wada. Theres a lot of new minigames and whatnot at the orphanage where you have to raise Kiryu's bond with his kids. I haven't actually gotten around to playing Dark Ties yet, so I'm gonna leave that alone. The TLDR is that its a fun game with issues, but even the worst Yakuza game is still better than 90 percent of the slop released by western developers.
+1
I just want to preface this review by saying that I have not played the Dark Ties route yet, and as such, this review will only be about the base game. Say what you will about Kiwami 3, but so far, i'm having a blast. Now, in all fairness, I never played the original Yakuza 3, so I went into this game with no pre-conceived notion of what to expect, what's changed/not-changed, or anything. So far though, I am enjoying it a lot. The combat is tight, fast, and feels GREAT. It's not weighty or anything, but you occasionally get those moments of just grappling someone and throwing them into other people and watching them all fall over, it's satisfying and it just feels so nice. Is it perfect? From what i've played so far, no, it's most certainly not, HOWEVER, it's certainly super fun and entertaining. By the way, it runs very well in my experience. Worth at full price? Likely not. Worth it on a sale? Absolutely.
