About
Windrose is a survival adventure set in an alternative Age of Piracy. It features the classic “build, craft, survive” formula along with intense combat and engaging exploration on land and sea.
Progress through vast procedurally generated biomes filled with hidden mysteries, hand-crafted dungeons and quests. Gather your crew and captain your ship through brutal naval combat with boarding actions and seamless transitions between ship and shore.
Defeat challenging bosses on your swashbuckling adventure driven by real-world characters and supernatural forces alike.
Every legend begins with a reckless crossing.
You are a captain who dares to challenge Blackbeard. What begins as a grounded story of survival and revenge draws you into a growing conflict between empires, pirate clans, and mysterious dark powers looming on the horizon. Windrose is steeped in the allure of the Age of Piracy.
Answer the call of the seas and move seamlessly between ship and shore. Naval combat is shaped by your decisions, whether you’re trading cannon fire at range or closing in for fierce boarding actions. Equip and customize your ship to suit your playstyle, from nimble ketch to versatile brig and monstrous frigate. And when the cannons go silent, claim your spoils and share a sea shanty with your crew as you sail onward.
Establish a foothold in vibrant, diverse biomes, gather resources, and build to your own taste, from simple shelters to elaborate mansions and fully developed forts. Recruit NPCs and grow your settlement to speed up harvesting and production.
This world belongs to the brave and the curious, so venture into the uncharted lands. Over 100 hand-crafted dungeons and points of interest contain endless secrets and treasures, though such rewards rarely come without risk. Trade with different factions to gain the edge you’ll need.
Hack, slash, batter, and shoot your way forward! Master a wide arsenal of melee weapons and firearms. Parry and dodge enemy attacks, chain different strikes, and keep an eye out for new gear, including sabers, rapiers, halberds, greatswords, pistols, muskets, and more.
Shape your combat style through talents and flexible loadouts with unique armor sets. Use food and potions to gain powerful buffs. Test your skills against a wide range of enemies and challenging bosses, defeat them, and claim their treasures.
Windrose is fully playable solo offline or in co-op with friends, supporting up to 8 players, with both self-hosted and dedicated servers available. Procedural generation will make each journey stand out. Please note: due to performance, especially in the late game, we recommend to play in the party up to 4 players for the optimal experience.

I want to like this game and I do think it has pretty good potential but at this time I can't recommend it especially as a solo player. As many other people have said the land combat is terrible. The stamina system is very poorly implemented, why do I not at least regain some stam when I'm just holding a block... the fact you have to run in slash slash slash and run away before you get stun locked is just not fun. Also it took me about 5 of the 6 hours playing to level up and it doesn't really even feel like I got much for it I put 3 of the 4 points into stam and it feels basically the same. I wish I could say how the ship combat is but I haven't been able to get to that since I've been playing by myself on normal and trying to fight more than like 2 or 3 enemies is dark souls level of hard. I can't get people out of the pirate camp. I'll give this game more time to cook and come back I hope they do the concept justice.

awesome pirate survival game 5*
From the moment Windrose set sail, it grabbed my attention. I've been following and playing this journey since its debut, and what keeps bringing me back isn't just the combat, the crafting, or the adventure — it's the feeling that I'm building a story every time I step onto that ship. Windrose captures something special that many games try to create: the feeling of being part of a crew. As Captain of the Sirius Gaming voyage, I see Windrose as more than just another survival game. It's a world where every island explored, every battle fought, every ship upgrade earned, and every discovery made becomes part of your own legend. ⚓ The ship isn't just transportation — it's your home. ⚔️ The battles aren't just encounters — they're challenges that test your crew. 🌊 The world isn't just a map — it's a place waiting for stories to happen. What makes Windrose stand out for P2DW is the community aspect. Games like this are meant to be shared — with friends, with your crew, and with everyone watching the adventure unfold. Whether you're sailing into unknown waters or defending your hard-earned progress, Windrose creates those unforgettable gaming moments that make you say: "Remember when we did that?" That is the magic of gaming. Of course, Windrose is still growing, and like any great voyage, the journey isn't finished yet. There are mechanics that can be expanded, systems that can evolve, and more adventures waiting beyond the horizon. But the foundation is strong, and the potential is massive. From the deck of the Sirius Gaming ship, my verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A promising adventure with a heart built for crews. Windrose isn't just about surviving the seas. It's about creating your legend. 🌙🐺 Sirius Gaming — P2DW "Paws 2 Da Walls: Where every gamer has a story."
such a freakikng good game
Fun Pirate game, easy to learn but hard to beat the bosses. If you like to build, hunt, boat, and go on missions this is a great game.
Excellent solo play once you figure things out, helpful playerbase on Discord. Challenging fun.
Great overall game. The start of it is a bit rough with its difficulty and combat itself could use a bit of polish and tuning. Probably has one of the best building possibilities of all similar games. You can clip things, deocorate to your hearts content and (with the help of a few mods) built truly massive settlements or pirate coves. I've spend more time building, than actually playing the game by now. Islands could be a bit more unique, most POIs feel copy-pasted and are rather forgettable. Runs well on my machine.
