Snail Games abandoned all their games. Atlas, Last Oasis, Outlaws of the Old West, and the promise of ARK 2. It's all just a money grab and theft at this point. Remastered ARK "Survival Ascendant", another cash grab. This company should be banned from selling games on steam.
DO NOT BUY***LOOK AT MY HOURS**** Devs shut down official servers over 2 years ago to go work on ARK Ascended. Not a single word. There is a singleplayer, but the initial release of Skyrim had less Crashes. The game is dead, the community is dead, Support is dead, and if we"re lucky the devs are to. Game needs to be removed from Steam.

how dare they sell a game that has no longer got official servers running what a joke! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I loved everything about this game (as you can see in the amount of time I spent in it), but after the first couple of seasons, the direction the development team took started to be a bit more worrying and upsetting. Gone were the days of adventuring across a seemingly endless ocean; material trading and shipping were entirely replaced by an automatic, behind-the-scenes system, making the whole idea of adventure and outpost building pointless. For instance, the update in Season 5(?) that introduced the automated trading system completely removed the need for player interaction in trading, which was a core part of the game's charm. Then they looked towards animal breeding and took the fun out of that too. Granted, not many players could afford to raw-dog imprint the more delicate types of animals to 100% and/or spend endless hours catching wild stock to get the perfect, rarest stats, but that was what built cooperation between people. Some had time for breeding and raising animals, some shipped cargo of rare materials across the world, and some spent their time farming blueprints and treasures and/or building perfect tools, weapons, and armours. The system worked, and the weekly community-organised events, where all of it would be brought together for trade and gossip, were something everyone looked forward to, regardless of how insane the hour it would begin for some. I lost my love for the game around the time they introduced teleports, so I'm not sure exactly how bad it got, but even then it was... lonely. The teleportation system, introduced in Season 9(?), made the world feel smaller and less immersive. I miss the early seasons, I miss my amazing crew, and I miss the excitement of hatching my crows to bring them out on the weekend and send them out into the world to help people's crafts. Despite these changes, the game still had a lot of potential. If the original developers returned and managed to find a way to reintroduce more player-driven content and community events, it could recapture some of its former glory. I hope there is a future where this game comes back to life, receives proper, non-world breaking updates (cow saddles or crock eggs btw) and it's makers consider the feedback from long-time players like myself. Unfortunately, the official servers were closed last year, and the game never left its Alpha phase. It's a shame to see such a promising game end this way after investing over 4000 hours into it. Bloody shame.
the audacity to charge £24 for a game thats deader than my nan is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb. even when the game was working "back in my day" (yes its been that long) your experience was practically ruined by .. yes the chinese as always. if you load on now you can see that the npcs are broken, servers are history. even if you somehow get this game dirt cheap or free its not worth it i can promise you. don't fall for the bs trailers and tags, save your money and keep yourself happy. peace out :p
Dead game..... shouldn't be allowed to sell it. "Go on, take the money and run!" - Steve Miller Band
steam needs to auto refund games that are abandoned... even if its years after purchase.
I loved this game and had so much fun playing it, but I'm leaving this reivew as a warning. The game is dead, the developers have abandoned it. Dont waste your money
Game is abandoned, it was fun and the modding community tries to keep it alive. But the devs have disappeared.
this is more a request to dev's rather than an actual review please bring this game back hundreds of people miss this game bring it back please
