Windrose is fully playable solo offline or in co-op with friends, supporting up to 8 players, with both self-hosted and dedicated servers available. Procedural generation will make each journey stand out. Please note: due to performance, especially in the late game, we recommend to play in the party up to 4 players for the optimal experience.

Этот сказочный кабан Трюфель постоянно норовит остаться на тонущем корабле после абордажа, а он ведь даже не умеет плавать...
Incredible premise, growing pains of early access. Overall its enjoyable for what it is. Solid base of a game and the devs are working on adding details, fixing balance and adding new content. Its worth a look, especially if on sale. The experience can be challenging and feel unfair sometimes but if its something you enjoy its worth sticking with. More info below. First off, some of the bad - fights can feel stacked and your easily overwhelmed if you don't properly prepare - Ship combat can also be tough aiming the cannons during some of the recent patches has felt more like a suggestion than an accurate mechanic though I believe the devs are working on this actively as of the time im writing this - world settings feel a bit rough, enemy damage, attack frequency and stagger infliction to the player all could use a bit of a re tuning in my opinion. - Any game that needs an unstuck button should not have drop inventory on death or should at bare minimum have the option to disable drop items on death - I'd like to see the ability for a bit more build variety and for more combat styles to be viable - some quests set you solo against an unreasonable amount of npc enemies. Based on build type these quests could be manageable or nearly impossible without relying on mechanics outside your build - Getting enough reputation with merchants in a solo world can be a rough grind - I'd like the availability to customize your look more in terms of armor, dyes, cosmetic pieces, etc Now the praises of the game - I've very much enjoyed this new food + comfort system that survival games have been going with lately. Adding benefits and mechanical depth instead of just eating basic chicken to avoid starvation damage is a welcome change. The food buffs in this game get more rewarding and complex as you go and its really fun to see a "flavor profile" of sorts emerge for your character based on your build - The ships are grandiose and fun to experiment with even beyond just the spectacle of it - The boss battles are thematically interesting and challenging. Very challenging 1 v 1 but become unique and rewarding experiences with friends - Zone progression is distinct. Points of interest change, new challenges and enemies pop up - Ship customization is a great mechanic and I cant wait to see more depth to it as time goes on - The base building system is also a great foundation, there are some oddities with it but you can really make some good stuff

At some point I'd think they'd introduce some new content or improve some of the animations/bugs/glitches (choose your own adventure). If they really sold 2 mil+ copies, I'd assume they could afford the dev time.
can't even play the game, it will crash after making character
Fix your parry mechanic. It doesn't work on most of the weapons and it's useless when fighting multiple enemies. It's possibly the core mechanic of your game and it's nightmarish. Parry needs to be much much much stronger ESPECIALLY in group combat.
Do you like Valheim, 7 Days 2 Die? AC Black Flag? Base building and exploring? Then this is the game for you! Windrose is awesome, plain and simple. And not just "awesome for a EA game", because this is much more than that. With right over 100 hours in-game, I've encountered minimal bugs, glitches or exploits. The game is polished, has a great building system that would make both Valheim and 7D2D envious. Lots of different building options and styles. And the best part? Building doesnt necessarily cost a ton of materials! The game features (currently) 3 different biomes, all 3 quite different for each other with different materials, enemies and POIs. Well, 4 biomes if you count the Ocean. Theres loads to explore in each biome, making each fun and new, requiring different tactics for defeating the new enemies. The POIs are great! I love the puzzles and the hidden loot you have to search for. And they are quite diverse for a EA game. Windrose has a lot of different weapon and armor options, suited for what ever style of combat you prefer. I would say however, that the game is melee focused. I at least, couldnt make ranged only combat work for me. Im really looking forward to future updates! Now, for the "negative parts". And I really dont see them as negative just yet, seeing as its still in EA and theres still loads to come. So, rather than "negative", lets call it "Stuff I feel the game needs": The quest progression makes the game quite linear, if you let it. I personally prefer to explore on my own rather than follow markers on a map. And I did so here a well, searching out and exploring every single island. So, rather than a quest being marked on a map, I'd love to see it more general. "Find the island shaped like a horse shoe", "Search east of Tortuga for the ship your hunting" and so on. While each biome has different enemies and wildlife to fight, I'd love to see more diversity in the enemies. The 2nd biome introduces 6(?) new mobs to fight, but I'd love to see more. As well as improved tactics for these mobs. I would also love to see more diversity within each biome. Speaking of biomes and enemies. Once you've upgraded your gear to your current biomes max, all enemies become quite easy to beat. Ship combat is fun, theres no way around that. Does it need a bit of work? Sure. Aiming seems a bit off, and the ships feel a bit like maneuvering a brick at times. But the real downside with ship combat is that its only worth it for a short while. Why? That bring me to my next point. Factions. The game currently have 4 factions. Each faction sell you different gear, materials and building schematics, and each need a certain reputation to unlock each reward. Increasing rep is done by handing in trophies gained in Ship combat or killing certain enemies on land. As well as some being earned in quests. However, getting to max rep with each faction is really easy, and once your there, and you've bought what they have to offer, then Ship combat has no actual reward. Its just time consuming. I would therefor love to see more factions, more to gain from each faction and more use for the items gained from Ship combat in the future. All in all, this game is great. Not great for a EA, but just great. Its well worth the money, and time. And I have faith it will only get better in time. And none of my "Stuff I feel the game needs" will stop me from playing through it again, eve before a new update is issued.

easy to play fun game. easily can sink hours into this
I cannot recommend this game in its current state. It suffers from deep issues with a few of its major aspects, mainly combat and story. - The story, if you can call it that, is very poor even for early access standards, it consists entirely of clearing similar looking camps, go here, kill those, loot that. Ubisoft would be proud of how repetitive and empty of substance it is. - The combat is too ambitious for its own good, it takes itself way too seriously when it doesn't have the proper story and mechanics to support its intended challenging difficulty. The difficulty lies within sluggish animations and bad hitboxes more than anything else. - The performance is noticeably higher than games of its caliber or even more, Forbidden West be running with 67°c on my laptop but this game has my GPU hitting 83°c??! so weird... and btw, disk usage is still not optimized. - There's also quite a few balancing issues, enemy behavior, ship spawning, economy.. the list goes on and on. I really enjoyed the building, but even that is locked beyond story progression, to unlock farming, better building materials and schematics. This game is very much a draft of ideas not quite yet seamlessly integrated into each other. It's not even good enough for an early access release, this game should still be in vaults.
