For centuries Europe has been dominated by the church and nobility. On the shoulders of ordinary people the servants of god and the noble families justified their power and wealth. This was the incontrovertible, divine world order. A truly dark era… In the 14th Century the world order is beginning to transform itself.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 8 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Out of nowhere they just randomly decided to start updating one of my dearest childhood games. I am not crying, you're crying.
The Guild 2 Renaissance - one of the best games ever, a classic, even with the bugs that plagued it for so many years. But now, a dedicated team of modders/devs started to update this game, solving many bugs, and introducing new content for the base game, after so many years since its release. If you are a fan of medieval rpg-sim-dynasty-economic-political game, than this is the game for you, as long as you accept that it is an old game, with old, but beautiful even today, graphics. This game is very immersive, and once you pass the learning curve, you will always return to it. Congratulation to the new team that is updating this game now!

A Game getting solid updates to make it playable 16 years later while also adding more content through the reforge mod is unheard of in this time of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The team working on these updates deserve praise. Gaming is so back.
STILL GETTING UPDATES 16 YEARS LATER This is a hidden gem. It's medieval sims with murder, politics, multiplayer and capitalism, There's nothing else like it. 11/10 must play.
The Guild 2 has always been an amazing game. It was old and it definitely showed but you could tell the Developer really put thought into everything. Of course being old it meant that you got what you bought. all the bugs and issues were forever going to be present.... Until that is some updates started making its way to my recently updated page. At first they were small and suddenly they were Huge with changes and updates to include completely new content. Come to find out a Team of individuals who loved the Guild 2 has recently started updating and redeveloping this Gem of a game. The updates have been constant and of amazing quality for a game that is so old and forgotten. I can't recommend this game highly enough. With the Official patch MOD and the constant updates and reimagining of the systems I am hooked like I haven't been hooked since I first started playing this game. Keep it up Developer Team!! I am writing this review specifically because of the love they have showed recently in hopes that new players may give this game a shot. The learning curve is high but its well worth it.
RTS + RPG + Business Management + Economic Simulator + Sims + Sopranos and that still does not capture what to expect with this game. It is leagues ahead of its time and there still is no game that captures the crazy mash-up of genres. Kudos to the original developers, and major kudos to the modding community and developers who have kept the game alive for 15+ years. This game is janky, its confusing, some of the systems make little sense on the surface, but once you master businesses and making money there is an entire world of intrigue, rivalry, thuggery, and political domination to explore. Heavily recommend this game now that they are fixing a large amount of issues with multiplayer and longstanding bugs/instability. Once you feel you have mastered the base game, or if you feel the base game is not engaging enough with the general feel of the economy/other families, check out the Reforged mod (originally Fajeth's MegaModPack, now reimagined by Nauno and others). It does a lot of things I likely do not realize or understand, but the biggest part is it makes the world feel much more alive by changing how the non "player" dynasties fit into the world and makes the simulated part of the world and economy function immensely better, in turn making your place in it all the more challenging and engaging.
A burst of support after so many years really makes this game an interesting proposition, especially with steam workshop support. In all my years playing video games I have not found a game that offers what the guild 2 offers.
I played a lot of Guild 2 and afterwards Guild 2 renaissance and O BOY. DO YOU LIKE ADVENTURE? ECONOMIC ACTIVITY? WONDER? DANGER? INCEST? PAIN? SUFFERING? CK3?DEATH? THE SIMS? WELL YOU ARE IN LUCK (unless you are here for the incest, it’s not JET a feature). Submerge in a sims like medieval adventure where you play as a family trying to go up in the world of a medieval city (or cities depending on the map). Work your way up as a farmer and roll playing as a Tyrel or Ronald McDonald’s giving food to the rich and taking money from the poor, produce your finest armor and weapons as a blacksmith and start the military industrial complex by a millennia early!! Gaslight the populace to make the most powerful NOT A CULT business (because there is nothing more profitable than selling a religion) or just play as a rogue and make every family hate you because you put their sons 10 feet under for a few sticks and an apple, everything is legal when you infiltrated the city government as the only judge!! It’s a really fun game, who is abysmally more challenging than the sims but more “grounded” than the mega politics of ck3 or EU4; besides for a few months the game has been updated and fix by some devs and fans so it’s going to get even better (maybe with an incest update *wink* *wink*), there’s never been a better time to get this great game and submerge yourself in the crib of capitalism!!
This game multiplayer is beyond peak its hard to explain. For $2, its the best purchase of the year. BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD BETA BRANCH + REFORGED MOD for the best experience. Find Dachi on twitch and ask about mega games for big fun. like +10 player lobbies.
One of the Greatest games ever. Was buggy as hell for several years, then the devs came back and started to rebuild the game for no reason making it better. Real chads the devs are.
