Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 23 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Tannenberg brings the massive battles of the Eastern Front in WW1 to life with 64 players fighting for control of key sectors of the battlefield, each one offering a distinct strategic advantage. Warfare between the Russian Empire, Germany, and their allies offers a fresh experience for first person shooter players and history enthusiasts alike.
There are seven squads, 50+ weapons, eight large maps that give players tactical freedom, and a 64 player game mode with full AI bot support so you can experience epic battles at any time! Everything has been recreated with the same attention to detail seen in Verdun, the first entry in the WW1 Game Series.
This historical game takes place across the lakes, forests, mountains and snowy plains of the Eastern Front - it was inspired by the Battle of Tannenberg in 1914, one of the most iconic encirclement battles in history. Players will be able to master a range of authentically modelled equipment brought to the field by Russian Frontovik and Cossack squads, the renowned Latvian Riflemen, or the Roumanian infantry squad. Alternatively they can join the Central Powers to serve in an Austro-Hungarian K.u.K. unit, with the German Infanterie, or in the Bulgarian rifle section.
Tannenberg offers several game modes - including the exciting Maneuver game mode reflecting the nature of war on the Eastern Front, as 64 players battle across large maps where the objectives and battle lines are always shifting. Survive the deadly battles by working together with your four man squad and utilizing your distinctive skills. There is a wealth of historical detail including realistic WW1 weaponry, authentic uniforms, horrendous gore, and maps based on real battlefields.
Authentic WW1 atmosphere; accuracy in everything from maps and weaponry to uniforms
Tactical squad-based FPS; play as Russian, Roumanian, Latvian, Austro-Hungarian, German and Bulgarian troops
Wide-ranging landscapes; large maps each with weather variants from snow to summer sun
64 player Maneuver game mode; capture strategic sectors in grand battles of movement
Never fight alone; squad gameplay and AI bots for Maneuver so you can join epic battles at any time
It’s all-out war on the Eastern Front! From artillery barrages and poison gas to the deadly heavy machine gun and hard-hitting rifle, there are many weapons to master. The battlefield is a dangerous place – lead your shots, keep your eyes open, and be ready to engage in ferocious close combat at any moment.
Tannenberg’s Maneuver game mode captures the essence of warfare on the Eastern Front, with 64 players, large open maps, and the freedom to choose which sectors you will attack and defend. Just make sure you don’t get outflanked and encircled before you can do the same to your enemies!
The WW1 Game Series currently includes Gallipoli, Isonzo, Tannenberg and Verdun. Engage in expeditionary warfare through the Middle Eastern Front in Gallipoli, scale the mountains of the Alpine Front in Isonzo, maneuver for control of key sectors in Tannenberg on the Eastern Front or dive into the trenches along the Western Front in Verdun. These authentic WW1 shooters let players choose from a range of squads from across the war, as they fight for control of the ever-changing frontlines.
We recreate the atmosphere of the Eastern Front with the same level of accuracy as seen in all our games. Extensive research has been conducted, with uniforms recreated to the tiniest detail and weapons modelled to exact references. The maps use realistic props and terrain layouts based on locations from the hilly forests of Galicia to Polish villages subjected to scorched earth tactics and more!

Reviews
A good game, but it should just be rolled into Verdun at this point. Never understood why this had to be its own game when it seems to be the exact same thing as Verdun under the hood. It just ended up dividing players and leaving Tannenberg with a tiny playerbase. Even back when it launched you'd be hard-pressed to find a full match.
Despite it not being the prime time of these WW1 games lives anymore, the bots still allow for tons of replayability. And people ARE still on here, but even if they aren't, bots are functional and you can just play this game forever.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 16: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Highly unrealistic - I was a Russian soldier and I actually had supplies and bullets to fight with.
Anyway, a young soldier fell into my bayonet, and through all of his final screams, his last words that still echo in my mind were - "Melee Kill: 20XP".
This game features massive maps, but there aren't many players online anymore.
TL;DR They'll keep pumping out new editions and abandoning the previous games, thus wasting your money. Do not buy unless you're a turbo nerd for historical guns and/or military history. This will be a dead game when the next comes around. What a waste. I do find it incredibly frustrating how you've decided to develop these games. Each release splits the player base even further. Verdun was a lot of fun and had such a wonderful spread of weapons, but the game as a whole felt clunky, like an older f2p shooter. Tannenberg felt more polished and still had a fun spread of factions and weapons, though losing the content from verdun didn't feel so good. Almost the same thing with Isonzo, except the spread of factions and weapons got whittled down EVEN FURTHER, what to speak of killing the other two games player bases. Good luck finding populated servers, hope you enjoy the jank bots if you do go back. The weapon selection in Isonzo just isn't as fun. Through all the games you get Axis weapons, and now you're stuck with nothing but carcanos. Rifle grenades? Who cares, they suck in practice. Villaperosa? Fine, it's cool, to a point. All the previous games assets and works, completely left in the dust. The games, or fronts, are not unified in the slightest. Sure you can click some button to open one of the previous games, but again what is the point? they're all dead, no one plays them, and no one wants to play them. The improvements to the new games are essentially a waste of time and the players money, since there seems to be no plans to update or unify the old games. I refuse to pay for another installment. I tried to be patient but I'm done. I'd rather go reinstall RO2 and play with 200+ ping on euro servers. I truly feel like I've wasted my money on this franchise and I can not in good faith recommend this or any future iterations to anyone. ♥♥♥♥.
«Армия наша страшно нуждается материально: сапоги у большинства рваные, белья не имеют, хлеб выдают редко… Многие легли на поле брани… Война… Какой это ужас! Смерть и разрушение кругом» (В. Маштаков, 26-й пехотный Могилёвский полк)
