Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Jul 25 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

TL:DR : It's not better than real life I really wanted to love this game. And I tried. I tried so hard. But this is hardcore stealth, as in Real Life Stealth. Not Videogame stealth, where you can tag and track the enemy. None of that. You have no idea where they are. But they know where you are. You can kill a guard, and hide away somewhere, and the guard who spots his dead buddy is suddenly saying "I'm coming for you Green Skin". How the feck does he know what I look like?! I was being awesome and super stealthy at that point!!! And it's just too hard. I think I got to the 5th mission, which is close to halfway, but my gosh, it's just too stressful. I play games to be a hero, I play games to win, to feel good, to escape from a life that has enough failure and disappointment. This game isn't an escape in any way. It's actually worse than real life. I'd rather go to the office and work on spreadsheets than constantly be spotted and slaughtered by the guards in this game. Enough said; If it ain't Better Than Life then it ain't worth your time

If you are looking for a hardcore stealth experience where shadows are your only protection, Styx: Master of Shadows is a masterpiece. You play as a cynical, foul-mouthed goblin in a world where humans and elves want you dead on sight. The vertical level design is phenomenal. Every mission takes place in massive, multi-layered environments that offer total freedom on how to reach your objective. You can stick to the rafters, crawl through tunnels, or use your unique cloning ability to create deadly distractions. The game doesn't hold your hand. Combat is intentionally difficult because you aren't supposed to fight—you are supposed to be a ghost. The atmosphere of the Tower of Akenash is dark and immersive, and Styx himself is one of the most entertaining protagonists in the genre. It’s challenging, atmospheric, and incredibly rewarding. If you love methodical, pure stealth gameplay, this is an absolute must-play. 10/10
Styx: Shards of Darkness Номинация на Тролля 2017 Года вручается: Styx! Ах, да, забыла. Это не Тролль, а Гоблин. С данной серией познакомилась с Styx: Master of Shadows.
A surprisingly decent stealth game, with an unexpectedly decent story. It's not as deep as Dishonored for example, but for the asking price on sales, might as well try it. I have issues with its technical state - there's no proper 1440p or higher support in windowed mode and there's a 60FPS lock. The movement is decent, but the auto vaulting/mantling mechanic is really not good, nowhere near as precise as it should be. Seems like there's a missing button to just hang from a ledge or something. Trying to jump down without unexpectedly grabbing and auto climbing a railing is near impossible. Quick save often. Music is also surprisingly good, but it can be very repetitive during missions, especially early on. Overall atmosphere is comparable to Dishonored 2, where it's just all kinda depressing and dark in colors. The standout are the embassy levels. The second half of the game reuses all the maps from the first half, you are just basically going backwards through them. Not sure I really like that, but it kinda sorta maybe serves the narrative, so I'll give it a pass. At least you mostly remember where's what on the second half. Overall, at 2 euro on sales, if you like stealth games, I can definitely recommend giving this one a try.
11 ans plus tard je découvre Styx, un très bon jeu d'infiltration.
If you want a review about game mechanics and story, go somewhere else, this review is strictly made from a Certified Goblin Gooner(tm) POV: Things I like: I like Styx's bubble butt (which you look at for most of the game since you need to crawl through most levels), I like how the guards pick Styx up with one hand like he weighs nothing (cute), I like how he goes on tippy toes to lockpick (VERY cute) and how he suffers from constant migraines (relatable). Things I don’t like: Styx talks like a teenage boy, constantly swearing (even at the player) and making vague allusions to sex and genitalia in that particular way teenage boys who have never had a whiff of a real coochie do. I guess canonically it makes sense, since he has Styx Prime's memories, but is one day old, so, technically a virgin. Anyway, Styx's cuteness: 6/10. Solid base, room for improvement.
There's not a lot of stealth-focused games out there. Great stealth-focused games? Even fewer. However, Styx: Master of Shadows is definitely one of those great few. If you like stealth games, you really should play this game.
Styx: Master of Shadows is a stealth game through and through. If you're expecting action or a power fantasy, this isn't it. If you're a hack-and-slash player who likes to jump in and kill everything in your path, this is not the game for you—you should probably avoid it. Despite looking like a vicious and intimidating goblin, Styx is actually very fragile. He can't take much punishment, so avoiding direct confrontations is essential. The game encourages patience, careful planning, and staying hidden, but I found that the guards were almost too aware of their surroundings. They notice suspicious behavior quickly, making even small mistakes feel heavily punished. This creates tension, but it can also become frustrating rather than rewarding. One of my biggest issues was the lack of an active map that shows your current location. Since the levels can be confusing and enemies are constantly patrolling, it's easy to lose your bearings. Combined with the highly alert guards, navigating the environments often became more stressful than enjoyable. There are players who will appreciate the challenge and the emphasis on pure stealth, and the game certainly sticks to its vision. However, it wasn't a fun experience for me. While I can respect what it tries to do, the demanding stealth mechanics, unforgiving enemy awareness, and lack of navigation tools made it difficult to enjoy. If you're a fan of old-school, unforgiving stealth games, you may find a lot to like here. For me, though, the frustration outweighed the satisfaction, and I can't recommend it unless you're specifically looking for that kind of challenge.
This has to be the worst stealth game expirience i have ever had I dont know why this game is reviewed very positivly. For the year it came out it looks great! And thats it. The controls feel unprecise, the levels are just bad and the enemies... wow The Ai is so hyperalert all the time at some point of the story its not fun. Getting hit through obsticales, stunlocked by 2 guys with throwing knife cause they saw u over the map somehow and many more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Makes you save all the time or else the 2 steps that finally worked will get deleted again and thats not the point of a stealth game. But sadly trial and error it is. And the inconsistency is soooo inconsistent! Still finished it. Frustrated to the max, still have to play the 2. sadly ♥♥♥♥ this game 2/10
