Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Sep 14 → 6.29/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.

Reviews
Great game with some major improvements over the last one. Some bugs in the alpha, but that is to be expected. Looking forward to the updates that will really bring this game alive.
Hrál jsem v EA už první díl a dvojka přesto, že je to stále alpha je v mnoha věcech lepší. Výborná grafika, lepší grid a mnohem příjemnější stavba a těžba.

They made the job for the first, they are in progress with the second ! Let's go Keen !
I would reccomed this game to all my friends. Its, in my opinion, a huge upgrade to SE1. The unified grid system makes it super fun and easy to build in comparison to SE1.
Love it. Keep it comin Keen. <3
To stejné stavění a podobně. Ovládáním je hra tak odlišná, že to nelze hrát. Zvlášť pro nás co jsme roky zvyklý na určitá nastavení i z jiných her
I can't in my right mind recommend PLAYING this game right now, even the features that have been developed barely work, base game aspects aren't working, half my buildings I'm placing in the ground after clearing the space out, tell me there's an issue and I can't weld it. The wheels are again, another torturous experience same as the first game, I can barely get them to do anything besides go straight at mach jesus. The ground vehicles I've made will just move on their own if they're not on a flat plane and you don't have the parking brake engaged, yeah yeah gravity whatever, except they're basically accelerating up a hill because of "gravity". The smallest incline of like 1% or less shouldn't move a vehicle, it's pretty bulky. I'm sure in about 5 years the game will be a BANGER same with the first game and you should pick it up then, but right now there's essentially nothing in the game, (yes that's advertised so it's not a complaint as much as a statement) along with what is there basically not working at all. Sure you can walk around and mine some resources, but once you try and do anything atmospheric that's not focused around thrusters or hovercrafts you're going to suffer. The planets have never been nice to wheeled vehicles and this game isn't anything new in that regard. The devs really don't seem to like planetary things compared to how much they balance space content. Yes I know that's a really ironic statement considering the name of the game, but planetary survival has become a large aspect of the game, and for many, one of the things drawing us in the most. I'm not saying hover vehicles aren't awesome in the game, they absolutely are, but more love needs to go into wheeled platforms and the planetary survival early game before you get into space, maybe even consider designing an entire new train vehicle with rails and tracks. If you want to give them money to help with development go right ahead, I did, and I'm glad I got the game right now, but I won't be playing it in it's current state. And I think that's a fair statement, acquiring the game now to help with development, but also not wanting to play the game in the current state. I know it'll be good in the future, but as a gameplay review, right now I won't be playing.
Really a fantastic evolution to the original. Feature-wise it's getting closer to offering the same functionality, but where it really shines is in the unified grid system. Being able to build large ships with the granularity and detail of the small grid really lets you create ships that feel distinctly unique, polished, and yours. Another great improvement over the first game is there is now a story and progression dynamic (if you choose to play in this mode). Contracts so far have ranged from Salvage, Delivery, Building, Mining, and Bounties, and the game largely leaves it up to you in creating a ship to accomplish these tasks (though a few basic ships are provided here and there). As you progress through these contracts, new build items are unlocked and the game world itself becomes more developed and populated. Development seems to be progressing at an even pace with regular updates and releases. However, it's still quite a ways from a finished product. Performance is hit or miss: Sometimes it runs buttery-smooth (I spent multiple days playing in the starting area without any problems). Once I got up into space, frequent stuttering started to occur, but it seems to come and go. Changing graphics or display settings or even restarting the game seems to have no effect, so something is definitely not properly optimized. TL;DR - It gets a recommendation from me and has wonderful potential, but don't go in expecting a polished experience. If performance matters to you, maybe wait for a few more updates to see if these issues get addressed. If you can deal with some janky framerates from time to time and love spaceship sandboxes, this is fantastic.
