being unable to run hllv led me here, thanks hll for being so bad yet making me want to play a (far better) vietnam game

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's old. Old in a bad way. Typical multiplayer-shooter. There can only be certain number of classes on the map and if you won't spam-click or someone leaves the server, you won't get to play that class. Map is confusing. Menu is outdated. I didn't like it.
This game was specifically made for pseudo-intellectual redditors
If hell let loose and battlefield had a baby set in Vietnam this would be that baby. The servers are alive enough, play during the day and you'll have a few full servers, play at night and you'll maybe find two full; it's on the smaller side of a playerbase. It's as far as I know entirely online but has bots that fill servers; BUT if you play with a full lobby and do a campaign then there is no other large scale mil sim like this. From strategy to just running through the rice-fields this game captures the Vietnam war perfectly; The limb damage system and reactive ground system in this game helps add immersion too. Overall I'd recommend this game to anyone who has a interest in Vietnam and likes mil-sims, It is on sale often aswell.
VOIP being broken, aswell as publisher effectively abandoning the game is real shame. It's been years and only now getting signs of potential stability updates. Still, there's few games quite like RS2 regarding game loop, especially in Vietnam War era. Thumbs up, especially if on sale.
First of all, if you're Vietnam War nerd, this is nobrainer buy for ya. But even if you're not, there are several unique features making this game worthwhile your time & money investment: 1) Delicate balance between arcadey and realistic gameplay. Compared with Hell Let Loose, it is less of a slog and easy to get in, because the maps are not really big and you can pretty quickly understand where the current frontline is and where your impact would be more sensible. I've never had an issue figuring out where I am getting shot at from, cause it is kinda obvious most of the time 2) Saying that, map design allows for very tense firefights with low visibility (jungle / rice fields / urban environment), where sound cues are sometimes even more important than the visuals. You can hear footsteps, gunshots obviously, even the grenade rolling near you. Because of that, if you are attentive to detail enough, you can understand what is happening and where. And the maps themselves are gorgeous, even in 2026. 3) Sound. Sound is absolutely FANTASTIC. It is volumetric, deep, powerful. Every weapon has its own impact and sounds, artillery, napalm and gunship fire are terrifying. All of these things combined, you are truly immersed in every match. 4) No weapon unlocks. Now, that's interesting cause I am used to HLL / Red Orchestra 2 model where you need to unlock weapons for your class. Here, you have everything available from the start. The only unlockables you have are cosmetics, which are very thematic and cool, tailored to every faction individually. There are even australian forces lmao. And there are also some non-mainstream weapons like MAS-36, M2-Carbine with big clip and so on. 5) No need for voice comms and 0 headache after the matches even when you're SL. While HLL is basically a job when you're a Squad Leader and can be really taxing on your mind, here it is pretty chill. Built-in game mechanics like marking enemy infantry with marks visible to the WHOLE TEAM, so you have real-time data from all your teammates all the time helping to make tactical decisions, allow you to not micromanage every decision you make but pretty much focus on tactics and action, not telegraphing your ideas into actions. Which is also pretty cool. 6) And there is a multiplayer campaign, of course. You basically vote as a team where to strike and what forces will you use, and the enemy can do the same on his turn. There are early-, mid-, and latewar periods with slightly different weapons and abilities to use. This is the only mode I've played so far and I find it highly enjoyable. And it is also not that demanding on time you must invest in one campaign. I usually managed to go through one of them in like 1,5 - 2 hours. But it can probably last longer if the teams are more evenly balanced. 7) Community is also awesome and kinda geeky about Vietnam War, so it adds to the atmosphere a lot. I could go on and on, but you get the gist, right? This is one of the coolest tactical shooters I've ever played and I can't believe I let it gather dust on my shelf for so long. It strikes a sweet spot when you kinda want to go tactical, but dont want a logistical and organizational headaches from titles like HLL and Squad. Good morning, Vietnam, here I come!
Looks like ♥♥♥♥ and always has. Most maps are a sniper's paradise and they rack up 100 kills while the rest of everyone does the run in and die cycle for 30 minutes a match. Teamwork is so poor that you can't get by on strategy. People don't even talk anymore in regular public games. The individual (except snipers) are pretty worthless in this game, right? They want us to rely on positioning and teamwork to make up for the slow agility and run speeds, slow ADS speed, you get it. But these days with nobody talking it's just a bad version of Squad.
Game was great at first. then EG7 purchased the devteams tripwire and anitmatter games thus acquiring the risingstorm ip. Since then the updates have been few and far in between, the game is pretty much dead. would never recommend anything associated with Enad Global 7.
this game is a really good vietnam game. i particularly LOVE the helicopter flight model. although i don't recommend buying it at it's full price since no one plays this game and it died a long time ago.
