Join the battle raging across an extreme landscape of vast mountain gorges and thick jungle, where the North Vietnamese Armies clash with the military strength of the US Armed Forces. Build tunnels, fly helicopters, drive patrol boats, use historically accurate weapons and work with your team to achieve victory.

Take the battle to the enemy across 6 large-scale maps inspired by real world locations. Play as either the North Vietnamese Army or US Armed Forces and choose from one of 17 specialised roles within a 50-strong team made up of multiple squads. Join or lead infantry, recon, armour, mortar squads and helicopter units, using communication and teamwork with your fellow players to identify objectives and ruthlessly exploit your opponent’s weaknesses. Emergent gameplay features bring intensity and realism to the conflict, as players tackle each battle with authentic weapons, orders and tactics. Follow the chain of command and work together as a team to meet your objectives and achieve victory.

In the heat and fury of the Vietnam War, the battle is more dynamic than ever. New US aerial units feature fully operational helicopters for fire support and supply drops. NVA forces can build extensive tunnel networks to gain the upper hand with surprise attacks. Both sides can hunt the enemy through Vietnam’s complex river network with heavily armed patrol boats built and launched to seek and destroy. Enhanced player movement, including swimming, climbing and fast crawling, and interactions such as dragging co-combatants away from active fire to give them a chance to heal and re-engage, all adds to the immersive battle experience.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam features multiple distinct gameplay modes pitting players against each other in epic 50 vs 50 multiplayer battles. Warfare mode is a 50 vs 50 tug-of-war style confrontation where two teams fight for control over 5 sectors. Offensive breaks down the opposing forces into an attacking side and a defending side. Alternating new game modes mix up the gameplay parameters to maximise the battlefield experience. This is as immersive as warfare gets!

People who like this game are the reason why we get unfinished slop like this. The game was fun but felt rushed and unfinished.

The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. Still released this too early. If you're expecting a natural transition from the original HLL, boy, do are you in for a surprise. Feels like a game you'd play at an arcade. Pretty wild how after a half-baked beta test, they only take a couple of months to then dish out the same hot garbage we already saw. Mega pissed I left the menu open for too long and now I can't return it. Back to OG HLL I go Bush Simulator: Vietnam
When it works, its really fun. A little faster paced than the first game. I feel comfortable buying in early, imo the team has taken great care of the previous title Im sure this one will get the improvement it deserves. AMD GPU users beware, crashes are frequent ATM. The starting option modifier suggested in the dev post helps most people, but not all [I am one of those people :,( ] . Might be best to give this one a few weeks/months until that is sorted.
This is an embarrassment. I was very excited to play this since we haven't had anything set in Vietnam since RS2. First off, this game looks like it's about 10 years behind in the graphics department. It's actually worse than HLL. Second, the audio is horrendous. The mix is all off. Third, if you have an AMD set up good luck. The game literally isn't playable. The devs knew about this during the playtest and released it anyway. Fourth, good luck finding a server with decent ping that isn't full. I expected more out of this developer and publisher.
1200+ Hours In HLL. This is poo poo.
Game is not the same as WW2 HLL. Left so much content out of the game, barely any weapons and outfits. Reskined in all the wrong ways. Maps are generic and are not historically accurate. Vehicles seem non exsistent and don't seem to impact the game. If you want to play Hell Let Loose play WW2.
I am a big fan of the original Hell Let Loose so i was excited for this game to come out. Sadly its so buggy and that i cannot recommend it in its current state. The game feels unfinished and untested. Bugs i have frequently experienced. -NVA not being able to build tunnels which essential hamstrings them. This seems to occur on some matches then in the next match is resolved. -Squad leaders being unable to deploy posts without them instantly disappearing. -Falling through or walking through walls and sand dunes. -Bamboo fences and other objects that are see through are totally bullet proof. -When exiting helicopters you are often thrown into the air and instantly killed by the rotor blades. -Game often crashes on start up. -EVERYTIME i close the game it doesnt fully shut down and the lobby sound effects continue to play until you force the game to stop. This invariably leads to a crash on the next start up of the game. Pros - I really like the maps and the way the game looks. Graphics are excellent and its very immersive and firefights are extremely intense. - The new loadout system gives you way more customisation and choice in terms of weapons and equipment once you have leveled the classes up enough. - Ability to drag downed teammates to cover is nice, makes medic role more viable. - Boat spawns are a fun new feature that can work well when deployed properly. Cons -Not enough populated servers and terrible voice comms especially on cross play servers. Most console players dont seem to be able to or dont want to use push to talk so a lot of the time you join a squad and its either silent with no communication or you can constantly hear someones TV in the background. - I hate the M16s gunhandling. The NVAs AK varient is far superior at medium range. - Lack of weapon variety for USA. Would be nice to see some M14s introduced. - Offensive mode feels rather unbalanced. Its often a complete walkover for the attackers unless the defending team are very good at organising their garrisons/tunnels. - NVA Anti Aircraft 14.7mm Diskhas do way too little damage to helicopters. Its a very heavy machine gun it should shred a helicopter at close range. Instead it tickles them. 4/10. Wait for a years worth of updates and bug fixes before considering this game. The original is far superior.
