About

Enter the explosive conflict of the Vietnam War and fight your way through some of the fiercest clashes in modern history. Join the battle raging across an extreme landscape of vast mountain gorges and thick jungle, where the North Vietnamese Armies clash with the military strength of the US Armed Forces. Build tunnels, fly helicopters, drive patrol boats, use historically accurate weapons and work with your team to achieve victory.

Take the battle to the enemy across 6 large-scale maps inspired by real world locations. Play as either the North Vietnamese Army or US Armed Forces and choose from one of 17 specialised roles within a 50-strong team made up of multiple squads. Join or lead infantry, recon, armour, mortar squads and helicopter units, using communication and teamwork with your fellow players to identify objectives and ruthlessly exploit your opponent’s weaknesses. Emergent gameplay features bring intensity and realism to the conflict, as players tackle each battle with authentic weapons, orders and tactics. Follow the chain of command and work together as a team to meet your objectives and achieve victory.

In the heat and fury of the Vietnam War, the battle is more dynamic than ever. New US aerial units feature fully operational helicopters for fire support and supply drops. NVA forces can build extensive tunnel networks to gain the upper hand with surprise attacks. Both sides can hunt the enemy through Vietnam’s complex river network with heavily armed patrol boats built and launched to seek and destroy. Enhanced player movement, including swimming, climbing and fast crawling, and interactions such as dragging co-combatants away from active fire to give them a chance to heal and re-engage, all adds to the immersive battle experience.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam features multiple distinct gameplay modes pitting players against each other in epic 50 vs 50 multiplayer battles. Warfare mode is a 50 vs 50 tug-of-war style confrontation where two teams fight for control over 5 sectors. Offensive breaks down the opposing forces into an attacking side and a defending side. Alternating new game modes mix up the gameplay parameters to maximise the battlefield experience. This is as immersive as warfare gets!

The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Just go play Rising Storm 2: Vietnam instead.
Cannot recommend the game in it's current state as it's unplayable due to AMD driver issues even on low settings, can't complete a training mission let alone a match. This wasn't an issue before the 20th of August and any updates since then have done nothing, considering a refund till they make a worthwhile product that functions better than the beta did. All drivers and updates are loaded and have also done nothing. Only game in my library that does this.

I waited for this to come back out since the playtest, people weren't happy then and still aren't. Tough crowd to appease. In my opinion if your a HLL Vet and want some Vietnam action its a buy in my book, and will only continue to get better. Don't listen to theses reviews with only 2 hours on record as you cant get a good grip of how the game really is in that timeframe. As others have already said in their review, the game is a bit unpolished on launch, but for me personally I haven't had any issues with crashing, bugs, or queues, but I have had somewhat disappointing performance in-game. My main issue is with the developers' vision and the gameplay. At the moment, this is not really a Vietnam war game. The two factions are far too similar in playstyle. The only real difference is that one side has AKs and Tunnels and the other has M16s and Helicopters. Oddly, the US forces camouflage better on most maps than the Vietnamese. Where are the traps? Why do the Vietnamese have the same amount of air support and tanks available to them as the almighty US military? Shouldn't the US at least have a Cobra or Huey Gunship? The Vietnamese even have their own flamethrower! There is no tunnel combat, as they are basically just fast travel hubs. Could the developers seriously not have come up with more unique ways to differentiate the factions or add a semblance of the asymmetry the war was famous for? Some of the game modes are a total joke. The Conquest mode essentially makes the game feel like 5 separate 10v10s rather than a 50v50 match. All of the game modes revolve around controlling territory on the map, nothing creative or new that fits the Vietnam war setting better. The progression system is also a bit of a pain in the ass. Instead of unlocking different loadouts, you instead have to unlock slots and carry capacity to have more than just a primary weapon and a bandage/grenade at level 1. Meanwhile, a max level role has 3x the slots and carry capacity which seems like too much of a gap to me. Some classes like grenadier or engineer are forced to play several matches as just basic infantry to unlock the ability to carry an assault rifle and rocket launcher for example. There are not many weapon options either. No M14, no different AK types, no grease gun, no PPSh, only one shotgun and machine gun for each faction and no ammo selection like slugs for shotguns or big belts of MGs. All of these weapons and options were present in Rising Storm 2. Sure, the game is brand new and they will probably add more options, but I doubt that they would eventually double or triple the weapon variety a few years from now to match Rising Storm 2. The tank gameplay is somehow more of a joke than in the WW2 version. My gunner probably had to put 10 AP shells into the same part of the hull to destroy an enemy tank at point blank. It was basically just two civil war ironclads tickling each other to death. Also there is again no depth to the tank combat, no weak spots or modules you can meaningfully disable, it's basically just whoever can put 10 AP rounds into the other tank's center mass first. Naturally the game is still fun and has similar gunplay and pacing to HLL WW2 which I enjoyed a lot, but it just doesn't really fit the title of a Vietnam game. Unfortunately these mostly seem to be core design issues so I doubt that the game will ever feel like something other than a quick reskin of the WW2 version with assault rifles in a jungle setting. I'll probably stick to Rising Storm 2 for now until this game has a lot of reworks and a change of direction.
!!DO NOT BUY, unless you want to waste $40, your own time, and 30gb of space!!
I have wasted a whole hour trying to get the game running. You spend most of your time STUCK in a loading screen. Then if you manage to magically get past the loading screen you will get to choose some settings and enter the tutorial. And I cannot stress this enough. You will end up playing the tutorial on 10 frames a second. Every tiny movement, gun shot, or the slightest input will result in you playing stuck in time. After the game figures out what you did and your screen unfreezes, you will be delighted to find it all play out as slowly as possible. IF you are lucky enough to get into a match without any errors or game crashes. You will then be stuck looking at the same FROZEN spawn point until you alt f4. Please do not waste any money on this. DO NOT be fooled. This is worse than the release of BF2042. WORSE than day 1 cyberpunk2077. WORSE than any other game on release day.
Chào mừng đến Việt Nam! Quân su của Bác Hồ sẽ thắng!
