Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game has massive potential but it needs a save or checkpoint system. As of now, there's no fail state in the game - "dying" just means getting teleported back to the last spawn point you visited, but enemies don't respawn or regenerate health. So if you're looking for a challenge, you're going to have to go very far out of your way to make your own fun because what the game wants you to do is respawn your way through each fight. I very quickly lost interest once I realised this. A save system was apparently "coming soon" almost two years ago. Without saves, it feels more like a toy than an actual game. At this point I'd consider the game to be incomplete abandonware. There are so, so many other great boomer shooters to play. Give this one a miss.
Long story short, it gets you hyped up for a whole lot of nothing. What hooked me was the sprite graphics for all of the weapons and enemies. The art team went and made enemy sprites for when you're looking down at them from above, which is crazy. The environments looked really cool and appropriate for the setting. HOWEVER, it seems that most of the budget went to the art and soundtrack instead of the game. Ore, a currency used for obtaining new and more powerful weapons, is scarce and only found in secrets that aren't easy to find. It's also obtainable via annoying time trials with target practice - very frustrating for weapons you have to reload. On that note, reloading. Not very welcome in a boomer shooter, especially when your current magazine is displayed as individual pegs instead of a number separate from your total ammo count. Additionally, the Shredders, the dual machine guns, have a shared ammo count; using just one of them consumes the same amount of ammo in the same amount of time as using both simultaneously. Very confusing. The levels are okay at best, the enemy encounters start off as exciting and welcoming you to the action, then get to the point where they drag on and you just want them to be over. Enemies have a low variety and halfway through the game "introduces" monsters that are just powered up versions of the ones you've already seen. There doesn't really seem to be a coherent story. Not a lot made sense. I get that story isn't necessarily a big point of focus in a fast-paced shooter such as this, but I had no idea what was going on. By default, it's difficult to hear the soundtrack. At 100% music volume, it's hard to hear even when turning down the other sounds. Overall, it feels like it should've been good but was rushed (hence quick-save and quick-load features being added after launch), gets very boring to play, and definitely isn't worth $25 USD.

I am utterly baffled of how much I love and at the same time annoyed by this game. This is a boomer shooter at its heart and the core gameplay, shooting and the music are just cheif's kiss. BUT few of the decision that the devs made makes me think they just wanted to annoy the players for no reason. The first reason is the progression system. You need to collect ores scattered around in missions to unlock weapons and abilities. First of all, this is DUMB. Imagine if u needed to explore the missions just to unlock the super shotgun in Doom, this kind of progression system dosen't belongs in a boomer shooter. Besides that, you cant collect most of the ores anyways if u havent purchased the double jump beforehand which in itself requires you to unlock 2 more weapons earlier. So I'm just watching Youtube videos making sure I collect all the ores (half of which i cant collect anyways as I dont have double jump unlocked yet) which saps the fun out of the game. And the second and the more obvious reason is the well known Checkpoint system. I havent seen a worse checkpoint system than this game, it has no manual save system (F5) common in all boomer shooter but it has a auto save system which respawns you will FULL HEALTH and the enemies you killed prior to death remain DEAD........... what?? who designed such a stupid system. The devs are the most talented and the most laziest people ever, they promised an update to fix the save system 3 years ago and I doubt they ever will. In conclusion, I recommend this game but man the flaws are so huge they cant really be ignored and its a shame cz this game could have been something very special.
The one and only thing that should matter for a game is if it's fun or not, and Prodeus is undoubtedly fun.
THE GOOD

Gunplay: every weapon is pleasant to use, the shooting sounds are unique and satisfying, and reloading is pure ASMR goodness
Gameplay: it feels similar to classic Doom; level progress is locked behind door keycards that you have to find, and when there's an enemy horde you have to stay in the move and switch weapons constantly to survive, exploiting enemy weaknesses
Graphics: the game has an intentional retro aesthetic with low res/pixelated textures, which in my opinion fit really well with the game vibe
Level design: I am by no means close to finishing the game (33%), but so far from what I've seen in about a dozen levels, each one is unique in their own way; it doesn't feel monotonous and there's always something to do, a new route, a secret to uncover, etc.

THE MID

Soundtrack: I gave the game a chance and let it handle the music, but the soundtrack is undoubtedly mid and has weird timing; the music is calm mid combat and then the "aggressiveness" kicks in when you're nearly done killing everyone. It's not a game-breaking experience but I opted to mute the music and play my own
Difficulty: I haven't tried the max difficulty yet, but from what I've seen, more difficulty doesn't necessarily equal more enemies, it just means you take more damage, which is a bit disappointing

THE BAD
Checkpoint system: this is arguably the worst part about the game. As you progress in each level, you will find checkpoints (that sometimes trigger enemies to spawn)... the problem is, if you die, you respawn with 100% health and no penalty whatsoever. Whoever you killed, stays dead, so there is no such thing as a revenge system in place. For a game of this type, it's really anticlimatic. I understand catering to more casual players who don't want to have a hard time progressing, but why not make it an option? If you want things to be a bit more challenging, you're out of luck.
FINAL VERDICT
Despite its flaws, like I said at the beginning of this review, Prodeus is undoubtedly fun. In a landscape where most AAA games are just creatively bankrupt slop, endlessly milking established franchises and pretending to sell us the same thing every year, or worse, release an incomplete/broken mess of a game and promise to fix it along the way? Prodeus is a breath of fresh air, and it definitely deserves a chance.
DOOM 3, The Chronicles of Riddick і DOOM 2016.
The weapons are fun and diverse, and the OST by Andrew Hulshult is epic. That's about the only positive things I have to say about this game. The overall gameplay suffers from a severe identity crisis; it tries to be a midway between classic Doom and new Doom, without ever really having the guts to fully commit to either. It doesn't work. Level design is the worst part of the game, though; so many levels where you get pidgeon-holed into progressing with no possibility of going back. This means that you'll be constantly paranoid that you missed a secret or an important item with each door you go through, and each ledge you drop down. Enemy design is almost completely unoriginal, blatantly copying the zombie soldiers, imps, pinky demons, and pain elementals + lost souls from Doom. Finally, the immersion is non-existent in this game; constantly, it will ask you to "rate the map" and you need to press about 15 buttons to log in and continue your campaign every time you launch the game. AWFUL design. It is the equivalent to hearing a petulent youtuber incessantly begging you to "like, comment, and subscribe", except now it's in a video game that you paid real money to play.
I did not know beforehand, but this first-person shooter is very much an original Doom clone in terms of... everything. Pretty much every monster I've seen has its Doom equivalent. Almost every weapon is the same. Gameplay is the same (but with mouse look). And the atmosphere is similar. For story, it's still basically non-existent with a forgettable paragraph of text. However, it's an incredibly well made clone. Its main strength is probably how well it controls. I don't recall a mouse-look combo in a FPS that felt smoother and better, and that's from the start without adjustments. It's a joy to move around those dreary places. The environment graphics look good, similar to original Doom, but not quite as pixelated. The levels are well designed, initially short but getting more complex later on. They're improved by modern effects and lighting. However, weirdly, the very pixelated monsters look worse than original Doom, especially up close. Still, they do the job and are easy to distinguish. The weapons are crunchy and satisfying to use, and I like the alternate modes (with right mouse button). There are extreme amounts of liquid red blood whenever an enemy gets shot, even a "dismemberment" system. It's an interesting choice, but it tends to go overboard when sometimes you don't even see the targets anymore (those who did not die yet). Prodeus might not be original one bit, but it's super fun.
would be a near perfect fps if not for the awful checkpoint system that robs the game of any tension.
I'm not gonna lie, the only flaw in this game is that it didn't copy Doom 2016 1:1 and add the glory kills. Other than that, the weapons are pretty much exactly the same, movement, health/defense, all of it modern Doom with a retro aesthetic. Plays phenomenal on the deck, played the whole thing on there. 9/10 can't wait for the DLC.
