Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Один из моих любимых шутеров всех времён и народов.Очень мне он нравится.Для меня он идеальный был и останется таким.
HELLO AND WELCOME TO OUR GIGASTROGGOS!!!!11
Unironically the best videogame adaptation of the unironic pre-Verhoeven Starship Troopers. A very well done intermediate step between what used to be called a Doom-clone and a military shooter. Oft dismissed because people are boring and hate hybrids. Quake 4 has outstanding art direction. From claustrophobic and cable-beriddled corridors to the horrors of [strike]local[/strike] Big Pharma to the static backgrounds, the industrial hellscape of Stroggos reeks through the screen with oil, blood, gunsmoke and ozone from AA plasma volleys. Blasting sun and sand to the horizon on the outside. Cold dark metal labyrinthine megastructures on the inside. I don't remember spaces like this in another game. Doom 2016 and obviously Doom 3 come close in places, but they don't have that ever-shifting fog-of-war frontline aesthetic. Plotwise it's bland which I assume the new Dooms have taught us all to appreciate by now. It's a warzone meatgrinder, and there's literally nothing else to it, nor should there be. Brothers-in-arms find their end quickly and graphically, and nobody makes a big deal out of it. Now, is it a good shooter? Short version: Overall, definitely. But quite a bit of design nanotechnology seems to have been lost in the "evolution". As well as in development time constraints, probably. Long version: The good: 1. Enemy variety. A buffet of beasties, some of it - level-specific. 2. Enemy mobility. Footsoldier Strogg constantly dodge out of your crosshairs like they're Resident Evil zombies on Colombian flour. That makes them a threat even when their bigger scarier colleagues aren't around. 3. Your arsenal takes up all the buttons from 1 to 0. Lest we forget FPS is a PC genre and submit to the two-weapon rot. Besides, you get upgrades. 4. Ammo is by no means abundant. You'll always find a few of your guns either out or low. 5. Quite a bit of backtracking through levels, but since it's always linear, devs fill it with new encounters and setpieces. 6. Rudimenary secrets. Extremely rudimenary, but good to see tradition continuing. 7. Some ammo/armour/health pickups spawn optional encounters. You didn't thing you'd get those for free, did you? The bad: 1. Main problem of the game - disgusting balance on higher difficulties. Enemies just deal infinitely greater damage - and that's all that's being tweaked. The game is not designed around this much damage and with how scarce health can get mid-game you're best off reloading if you catch a stray. Quake 4 is probably best experienced on second or third difficulty - trying for a no-death run of the level for challenge purposes. Anything higher invites plain frustration. 2. Doom 3's fashion of cheap enemy jumpscares continues. Some placement of hostiles is incredibly cheap. Sure, it fits the theme, but turning a corner into a berserker charge attack (takes a YES amount of my health) happened more times than I'd like to see. Well, I suppose it could be worse. Doom 3 just teleports stuff in. 3. Explosives. - small single-shot damage to opponents - high splash damage to self - high splash range - 95% of the game is tight corridors. I trust you can put two and two together. 4. "Secrets" are just armour. And you often have a techie with you who can 100% refill it on demand. 5. Vehicle and turret sections - it was an uncivilised time of FPS consolization. Forgive and forget. Is Quake 4 fundamental? Not at all. Is Quake 4 one of a kind? 100% PS Ignore my playtime. Played it in January of 2006, and then a few times over (I know - shocking, we used to replay games back then, the barbarians).
I think Quake is more rooted in eldritch aesthetics than Quake II's Strogg stuff, but I find this game good for what it is.
Such a fun sci-fi FPS. Brought me back to a nostalgic time of 2004/2005 gaming. Fun, cool, satisfying weapons to use, great sci-fi atmosphere and visuals with some horror(body horror) elements. Sometimes straight forward FPS gaming is all you need. No bloat, no battlepasses/loot boxes etc. Just straight forward old school FPS good times. Long live Quake!
Clasic game, epic level design. I recomend going into guides and checking how to fix graphics
has aged liek milk. no resolution for my screen type so the sensitivity is ♥♥♥♥♥♥. in some directions its high in others its super low.
Used a Steam guide to edit the config file to fix the super muddy textures and game running at an improper framerate. Even after this, the framerate would occasionally unlock after pausing, breaking the game's physics. Gave up on the game because many of the effects would stop appearing after loading a save, making explosions and projectiles invisible. Even aside from these objective issues the game feels painfully slow and generic compared to both the prior games in the series and its contemporaries. Kind of feels like a mix of Doom 3 and CoD and not in a way that plays to either of their strengths.
