Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ngl if it weren't for the compass I would've not bothered with finishing this one

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Original Quake 2 and its expansions were alright and fun enough, but they were clearly lacking some things and unfinished. But this remaster by Nightdive? It's top-notch 90s fps gaming, even better than Quake 1. It has various qol improvements, ranging from adding unused attacks to enemies, an objective marker (thank god), graphical improvements that don't stray far from the original look and various gameplay balances that are all for the better. Aside from the base game and the expansions from the 90s you also get the Nintendo 64 campaign and Call Of The Machine, the latter of which was designed specifically for this remaster and takes advantage of modern hardware with larger levels and it throwing huge amounts of enemies to you at once. All of the campaigns are super fun to play in this remaster, with the good old typical old-school fps gameplay being present. I rate the og Quake 2 a 7/10 and the remaster a 9/10. It really makes the game that much better
The STORY! the later part of the game! Multiplayer and single player! The game is dated but not old enough to have a good time and to maybe even relive a few memories!!!!! Make sure you are able to up date the graphics and get the sound working!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME MUSIC!!!!!!!
So many childhood memories ... back when gaming was about passion and creativity. God I miss these times :( Everything is perfect : the maps, the guns, the ennemies, the music ...
great remaster, one of the worst campaigns iD Software ever put out. SSG feels nice, grenade launcher sucks like in Q1, Chaingun might be the worst one iD's ever made, enemies are bullet-sponge garbage that can tear your sh!t up in a half-second, save-scumming required to beat game on the hard skill-setting without wasting your time too much. there's a lot that i like about Quake II, but man is the main campaign rage-inducing at times. enemies grenade-spam a lot too. the campaign is only fun if your idea of fun is playing Halo 2 on legendary.
Played it in my youth and it still is a lot of fun today. A classic 3D Shooter of its time.
