Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Aug 24 → 5.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Okay... here we go So from what I understand this is a game that takes place in the game Alan Wake, Written by Sam Lake, and in this game you play as Alan Wake who plays Alan Wake in a movie directed by Alan Wake based of a book that Alan Wake wrote, the same book that Alan Wake, the game, is mimicking in which you search for your wife who fell in a lake all while writing a book for an evil fan obsessed with Alan Wake, but its different to this game in which you also are searching for your Wife but instead of writing another book, you are fighting Alan Wake, a different Alan Wake of course; some sort of evil version of Alan Wake who also wants your wife. But then of course it turns out that the evil Alan Wake is just the bad parts of Alan Wake that Alan Wake wrote about in a book, the same book this Alan Wake game is adapting into a movie and of course the book Alan Wake, the game, mimics. And of course both Alan Wake games are written by Sam Lake in real life but if you look closely you'll discover that Sam Lake is just real life Alan Wake, because Sam Lake also looks like Alan Wake in real life, so the real life cutscenes in Alan Wake are played by the real life Sam Lake so really in real life its Sam Lake writing a game featuring Sam Lake about a book written by Sam Lake adapted into a movie directed by Sam Lake who in real life is really Max Payne- and hey, are you getting all this?

للي مهتم بالمراجعة بالعربي يحصلها هنا ( https://backloggd.com/u/Ammar_114/review/4950413/ ) Alan Wake's American Nightmare This game is a short spin-off in the series that leans more towards action compared to the psychological horror of the first game. Its events take place entirely within an episode of the fictional TV show Night Springs, which Alan Wake used to write episodes for early in his career. The Story and General Plot Alan Wake is still trapped in the Dark Place. Through his writing, he is able to send a projection or a version of himself to a fictional town in Arizona. His main goal in this game is to stop his dark, evil copy known as Mr. Scratch (who I was wondering about after finishing the base game). Mr. Scratch is an entity that serves the Dark Presence, and his goal is to take over Alan Wake's real life, ruin his reputation, and most importantly, get to Alan's wife, Alice. To fight him, Alan Wake finds himself stuck in a time loop where he is forced to traverse through three main locations. In every loop, he changes a minor detail that makes a difference in the next one, in order to break the loop and defeat his evil copy. The three locations where the events take place are: The Motel and Rest Stop The Observatory The Drive-in Theater Main Characters Alan Wake: The protagonist. Mr. Scratch: The game's villain. Emma Sloan: A mechanic in charge of the motel and rest stop, and she is the first one to help us. Dr. Rachel Meadows: An astronomer located at the observatory. She helps us by receiving a specific space signal necessary to break the loop. Serena Valdivia: The person in charge of running the drive-in theater, who is under the control of the darkness before our hero saves her. Gameplay The game still relies on the core mechanic of using a flashlight to break the enemy's shield and then defeating them with a weapon. However, this game introduces a few additions to the gameplay: New Weapons: They added extra weapons in a way that is much more fun than the first game, where the variety was weak. New Enemies: This time around, there is a respectable variety of creatures, unlike the first game where variety was practically non-existent. Manuscript Pages: This time, you don't just collect them for the story; they actually matter because you need them to unlock weapon chests inside the game. Overall Experience 5/10 Generally, if I approach this experience purely from a gameplay perspective? It beats the first game 10 to 0. And as a complete game? It's better than the first. However, I still prefer the first game over it because of the mystery, the story, and the atmosphere. That's what made me finish the first one and get hyped for the second one just to know the continuation of the story. As for this installment? I don't see it adding anything to the series other than answering the question: "Who is this second version of me?" which looked super sketchy. Excited for the rest of Remedy's games 🦍🦍🦍
this is great, i love the story even tho i understood almost nothing i love that
timeloop thing
this was really fun im glad that they
skipped a few parts in the later acts so it doesnt get repetitive
Alan Wake's American Nightmare to krótszy i bardziej arcade'owy spin-off pierwszego Alana Wake'a, który mocniej stawia na strzelanie, ale nadal zachowuje charakterystyczny klimat serii. Alan trafia do surrealistycznej wersji Arizony i próbuje powstrzymać Mr. Scratcha – swojego psychopatycznego sobowtóra.
No I 100% ed this game, because I have a problem. Famous author Alan Wake is back. He's a writer and he's dropped of in a darknessed infused town of Arizona. Once more, needing to don his flashlight, and prove that though the pen is mightier than the sword, it's not mightier than a nail gun. This canon event of the Remedy Universe, is a mercifully short Microsoft arcade vehicle that really doesn't have much going for it. It boast better combat and lung capacity but misses out on charm, story, voice acting, or sense save one part; Mr. Scratch. The video messages of the altered ego of Alan who taunts, murders, and hams his way through interactions is very much the tongue in cheek, parody/love letter we've come to expect from Sam Lake. But everything else has less heart than Barbra Jagger. Alan interacts with 3 areas, each anchored by a woman who's dialog and delivery I found lacking. One in particular made me uncomfortable to listen to. It is one of those "what where they thinking? kind of moments. This game is a loop. Talk to an NPC lady. Kill some enemies. Listen to Mr. Scratch. Collect items. Boss fight. Repeat that 3 times then do that all again 3 times. While each successive loop gets faster, it doesn't get better. Just shorter. And then, you're done. The combat is better, because, with all the running around, they made Alan do some cardio between games, and he no longer has the lung capacity of a 1950s coal miner with a 3 pack a day habit. They added some new enemies, and weapons which kicks up alan wake's rough game play to serviceable. Darling, you deserve better than serviceable. The story and presentation really isn't up to scratch. There is an arcade mode, with a series of challenges, to get high scores, or achievements, but as I said, I don't think the combat warrants the time. Not awful. Not good. Now, for a SRP of like $10, and on sale for less than a $1, I'm not expecting a $60 experience, but this? I would recommend Call of Juarez as a similar priced, but far better use of your time in terms of gun play. Hardcore fans of the remedy universe can buy this on sale, maintain their cred in the cult of Lake and then never touch it again.
TLDR; Alan Wake: American Nightmare is Alan Wake 1.5. It improves the gameplay heavily, reduces collectibles and has fun achievements. It picks up from the last game story wise, but doesn't add too much honestly. It's very short - less than 4 or 5 hours. It shines for the exact opposite reasons that Alan Wake did. OVERALL: 74.65/100 - Play it! 1. GAMEPLAY : 6.8/10 Gameplay Loop - 2/2.5 Massively improved gameplay from 2010's Alan Wake. Same concept, but improved dodge, gunplay and difficulty resulting in a much more fun gameplay experience! The Arcade mode is fantastic and just pure fun! Combat - 1.8/2.5 Improved greatly from Alan Wake. Atmosphere / Immersion 1/2.5 Not nearly as atmospheric as the first game. Bad Dialogue also takes you out. But, still a cool setting. Responsiveness / game feel 2/2.5 Overall, movement is better than Alan Wake 1. Dodge still needs work, other than that, it works and feel good! 2. STORY : 2.7/10 Plot 0.5/2 Only 4 hours and It's pretty bad the entire way through. It does have some redeeming qualities though. Coming off the high that was Alan Wake, I just wanted to know what happened next. This does tell you, but it is more of a "side mission" Alan Wake goes on in the dark place rather than continuing the main plot forward. Only redeemable quality is Mr. Scratch, the Villain. He's fantastic, and hope to see more of him. Characters 1/2 Other than Alan Wake and Scratch, the characters suck. But, theres only like... 5 total. So 2/5 are stellar, lol. Dialogue 0.5/2 This ain't it either. Pretty bad Dialogue obviously written just to push the plot forward. Again, except for Mr. Scratch's cutscenes! Writing 0.5/2 Nope. Not great. Basically the main story makes you repeat the same 3 tasks in a time loop until the story ends. Uninspired and boring. ONCE AGAIN only getting points for Scratch. Emotional Impact 0.2/2 Other than the ending cutscene, no emotional or thought-provoking story bits. 3. GRAPHICS : 8/10 Visual Quality 2.5/2.5 It obviously runs in the same engine as Alan Wake, but fixes my only main issue with the graphics from that game. Art Direction 2.5/2.5 Animations 1/2.5 Very little put into animations for cutscenes since all the important ones are live action. Far cry from Alan Wake's at least attempt on decent animations. Lighting 2/2.5 Overall okay. Indoor settings are wayyy overlit imo. But, fine for 2012 truthfully. 4. SOUND : 5/10 Soundtrack 1/3.5 Other than one decent song, this soundtrack is garbage compared to Alan Wake 1. Sound effects 2.5/3 Gun sounds are improved from Alan Wake 1. Voice Acting 1.5/3.5 Pretty bad voice acting (could also be because of the bad dialogue writing) for all characters except Scratch. (Yes even Alan Wake, which makes me think it was just the bad writing given he knocks it out of the park for Scratch). Props to the live action Actor for AW/S even though he doesn't provide the voice. 5. LEVEL/WORLD DESIGN : 5.5/10 Level layout 2/2 No problems here. Improved from Alan Wake. Better spawns, open designs. Exploration 0.5/2 Again just like Alan Wake, no need to explore except for collectibles (another aspect they greatly improved from Alan Wake). Environmental Variety 0/2 It's kinda all the same. Desert with a town or building. The story literally makes you repeat the same areas three times as well. World Building 1/2 Not as much as Alan Wake. But does a good job of telling you what's happening to the other characters outside of The Dark Place. It also fleshes out Scratch well. Navigation 2/2 Awesome. Mini-map even gives you collectibles now! 6. PERFORMANCE / TECH : 9.9/10 FPS 3.5/3.5 Actually better FPS than Alan Wake 1. Stability 3.4/3.5 Had one crash over ten hours. Technology included 3/3 7. VALUE : 10/10 Short story, but still got 10 hours out of the game. For like... a dollar. 8. DIFFICULTY : 8.5/10 Balance 3/3.5 GREATLY IMPROVED! You have better weapons, movement and dodge ability. Honestly, in story it's skewed in your favor heavily. Ammo is not a problem, ever. However, the amazing Arcade mode is balanced very very well. AI ability 2.5/3 AI can now throw grenades, transform into birds to dodge your attacks, flank you intentionally. Much improved from Alan Wake 1. Challenge 3/3.5 The main story is too easy. Nightmare mode is actually FUN! In arcade, it's the ideal way for me to play. Seriously good time. 9. ACHEIVEMENTS 9.75/10 Require a NG+? 3/3 NO NIGHTMARE 2ND PLAYTHOUGH REQUIRED!! Collectibles 3.25/3.5 Collectibles are reduced incredibly AND every single one has value! Easy enough to find too! Still, 50+ for a 4 hours story though, lol. Difficulty / RNG 3.5/3.5 These achievements were perfect. They were challenging enough to feel like an achievement, while not being too grindy nor relying on RNG. Good job Remedy! 10. OVERALL ENJOYMENT 8.5/10 I liked the main story, even if it was bad. It does have some good moments. The game is just more fun though overall. Achievements enhanced the experience like they are meant to imo, and the arcade mode was bliss!
The Tv scene made the game more enjoyable.
