We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 12: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 17.63/day in the week to Jul 21 → 20.4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Resident Evil HD Remastered — 10/10 Beautiful survival horror. At first: fear, confusion, panic. Later: routing, precision, control over your panic. The mansion doesn’t change its manners, you do bud. Every mistake hurts. Every correct decision feels extremely deserved. Save rooms are still perfect. Calm in a place that wants you completely dead. Inventory management is the real enemy. Hunters still remind you that your neck ain’t safe. Crimson Heads still punish dumb mistakes. And yet… you come back. Why? Game has great replay ability. At the time of writing this reviews, I had just finished my 10th, full Platinum/100% run. Oh! One last thing. Bring a healing item to boss fights and keep your inventory mostly empty! Hope you enjoy the game.
A remaster of a remake of a game originally released in 1996, Resident Evil HD Remaster is living proof that some games can survive decades of change and still remain just as impressive. Compared to modern Resident Evil games and many other horror titles that have become less and less scary over the years, the original Resident Evil feels completely different. Its horror does not come from constant jump scares or overwhelming enemies, but from a persistent sense of unease. You never know what is waiting behind the next door, and you never know whether the ammunition in your inventory will be enough to survive until the next supply. Beyond that, this feeling of anxiety also comes from Capcom’s incredible use of camera placement. As one of the finest examples of a linear hakoniwa-style design, this choice was undoubtedly right. Since players cannot freely control the camera, the developers have complete control over what you see and what you don’t see. This allows them to carefully arrange lighting, items, and enemy encounters, making sure you will see exactly what they want you to see and not see what they don’t want you to see. Of course, this design also comes with its own drawbacks. Because of the fixed camera angles, you constantly have to adjust your movement direction as the camera changes. For example, there is a section where you need to push a statue before the wall closes, requiring you to move extremely quickly, and I failed multiple times simply because the camera changed and made me run in the wrong direction. Similarly, the inventory system is also a double-edged sword. In this game, Jill starts with eight inventory slots, while Chris starts with six. No matter who you choose, your inventory space is extremely limited. This means every time you leave the safe room, you need to carefully manage your resources. You have to consider how many weapons, how much ammunition, and how many healing items you should bring with you. And yes, the tense resource management is one of the game’s defining features. However, the frustrating part is that because this game features item boxes, you cannot simply drop items on the ground like you later could do in Resident Evil 0. This means that if your inventory is full and you come across an important key item, you have no way to pick it up. Instead, you have to run all the way back to a safe room, clear out some inventory space, and then return to retrieve it. During this process, you have to go through countless doors, sit through countless loading screens, and that's a lot of time wasted just moving back and forth. There is no denying that the Spencer Mansion is one of the most iconic examples (perhaps even the best) of level design in video game history. With that said, because of how large and complex it is, combined with the fixed camera system and the unavoidable backtracking required during puzzle solving so it is very easy to get lost during your first playthrough, so I highly recommend preparing a map or some guides beforehand. Overall, Resident Evil HD Remaster perfectly preserves the charm of the original 1996 version while taking its visuals and horror atmosphere to the next level. Although it is significantly more demanding compared to the newer Resident Evil titles developed on the RE Engine, this would still be the best way for newcomers to experience what made the original Resident Evil so special.
8.5/10
You were almost a Jill sandwich!
This game is extremely rough to play as someone who never played it growing up, it feels almost like a prototype test demo for RE2, the (in my opinion) far superior game. I'm fairly convinced the only praise this game gets is from people wearing heavy nostalgia goggles, because personally I don't think this one stands the test of time in the slightest. The atmosphere is good and the art direction for the game is very solid, voice actors aren't the best but at least the lines are funny. Everything else? Absolutely awful. It's not even the tank controls or the horrid camera angles either, those I can actually put up with just fine. The game isn't actually scary at all, its more "cheesy" if anything, which is the opposite of what most people seem to claim, not only that but the entire game is just trial and error moon logic puzzles while giving you super limited inventory slots where you often (not always) gotta randomly guess what items are gonna be useful for the immediate future or not. Perfect example of this games issues in a nutshell, the shield crest at the start of the game. It doesn't come into play until HOURS later. Just...why? So you might just end up carrying it around hoping it'll be useful soon because "Why would they give us a solution with no problem?" This game is riddled with poor game design choices and "puzzles" that fluctuate between fine and awful design. They aren't even hard either, they're just...bad. The entire game is just extremely tedious and boring. Even the load screens waste your time which I had to go grab a mod to fix so I wouldn't lose my mind listening to that stupid door sound given how much backtracking this game requires. The enemy design is also made to be extremely boring and a waste of your time, especially the boss fights, which to be fair the bosses in the other RE games could be this way too, but its especially bad here where its just a boring bullet sponge that takes what feels like 10 years to die. RE2 is a far better experience and I highly recommend just skipping this one and going straight into RE2, it's got 1000x better game design principles. I give it a 2/10.
Despite having some outdated aspects and the rage inducing camera that I never got used to this game is very charming in its own way. They just don't build them like this anymore. I even ended up doing 5 playthroughs in the span of 4 days without feeling burnt out which says a lot.
minha primeira vez jogando o resident evil 1 achei a experiencia muito boa e recomendo pra todo mundo
> Loads the game, > Go through 15 level load animations to reach the last quit place, > Realize I need some item to solve this puzzle, > Go back through the 15 rooms with all the loading animations, > Open the box and pick up the item, > (Couldn't pick anything else because 6 inventory slots, 4 of which are filled with ammunition.) > Travel to that room all over again, > Realize this item isn't used here. > Kill myself.
It took me 30 years, but I finally got to play through this game. I did not own PS1 back in the day and I couldn't get the PC version, so I was looking forward to play this remaster. Then I kept postponing it because I am familiar with the game. I thought I wouldn't have the patience to play it. And then I did it. It took some time to adjust to camera angles and controls, but learning how to play RE1 was actually fun. I may be nostalgic, but this game is a piece of history and you have a chance to take part in it. Do it.
