Game feels unfinished, there are a bunch of bugs and the UI is quite basic. But mostly its playable Got a fatal crash while trying to enter the buy menu while unloading logs. It took me a very long time to figure out how to get the auto loading and unloading to work at the logging camp because there seems to be not enough ingame tooltips or shortcut hints or things like that. Its a shame they never really finished/polished the game and stopped updating, it has lots of potential to be a great game, but now its a bit meh

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun game, gets better midgame. Just DO NOT start with the SHAY.
This is a very conditional Yes to if "I suggest this product". I have been part of the Beta since 2021 and watched this game go through its growing pains up until release. Here is my opinion on the game's condition with over 660+ hours logged: Pros: - It's an Online sandbox game where you can layout track, industries, props, and trains. - Very good graphics, high fidelity models, weather effects, etc with the Unreal Engine 5 - Variety of Maps to play on with different terrain and biomes - The UI and HUD are easy to use and are intuitive for new players - Multiplayer sessions can be Public or Private with granular permissions and controls for the session - Track building has been made easier with the introduction of Splines and grid snapping - Adding decorations/building made easier with the new selection UI Cons: - While in Multiplayer sometimes the engine sounds and whistles cannot be heard by other players - Longer consists of about 20+ cars have a larger chance of derailing randomly - Locomotives and Rollingstock sometimes get physic-locked when stopped. Requires rocking the engine back and forth or applying/releasing the brakes to unstick - Laying 90° crossovers or junctions can lead to random derailments and need to relayed - Non-host players in Multiplayer no longer gain exp for completing tasks. Only money is transferred to the Host of working for their Company. - Trees/rocks/cacti etc have weird hit boxes when trying to cut them down - Adding trees, animals, and rocks locked by DLC. Should have been part of the core game. Things I'd like to see: - Mod support. Many people, including myself, would love to see this added - Able to place Spline Tunnels, Turntables with actual wells that go into the ground, and grade/level crossing as a track type (ballast/wood) - Option to adjust Prop height If you are new to the game and want to play with friends, you will find this game fun in the beginning. To start out, you will be building track out to the placed industries and running locomotives to build up exp and money. There is an option to place prebuilt tracks on the map and go straight into driving trains if you fancy that instead. This is where the "conditional yes" comes into play; end goal of the session. Because this is a Sandbox game, the end goal can be anything you want it to be, whether you want to just drive trains with big consists or make a big layout. But, gameplay wise it will be to complete the final tier of resource gathering, like Oil Barrels, Gold Bars, etc, and deliver it to the Depot for a massive payout. Once this is done, there is nothing else to achieve past this and the game can get a bit boring and repetitive if this is the only thing you are doing. The other issue that can kill your railroading buzz would be some of the bugs and physics issues that occurring during gameplay, most notably 20+ car trains derailing and needing to rock the locomotive back and forth to unstick while stopped, like as if a piston was stuck at dead-center all the time. So, who would I recommend this to? Personally, I'd recommend this game to my friends who like driving trains, building stuff, and like to do creative stuff with what the Sandbox offers. Building little towns and stations for the trains to pull into is pretty fun and breaks up the grind of trying to transport resources to the main industries. For $35, you and your friends can have a decent amount of fun with this game. However, expect this to be more of a sandbox game than a realistic railroading simulator.
very buggy
this game is genuinely upsetting me. i spent 3 HOURS delivering beams and planks till i got 5k, then it crashd the second i saved, got back to 3.5 k AND IT HSPEEND AGAAINNNNN
although I have had a lot of enjoyment and fun from this game, the current state is just saddening. I bought it when it was still in early beta, and had a lot of fun with friends playing the game. Many of the bugs were there, but they could be excused as it was early beta and the charm of the game was there. However, now in a full release it still has the same bugs and glitches, even worse than before now making it almost unplayable. Also, the general industry chains have not had a proper refresh in years, making them pretty much a take A to B situation but with the terrible train controls you pretty much just sit there for hours on end moving products between teh same two industries. Furthermore, I don't understand how this can be considered a train simulation game in any regard as the trains operate on the premise of "just press w" and every now and then put some logs in the fire. Absolutely atrocious. And don't even get me started on multiplayer So bugged that again it is unplayable. Stay clear. Do not buy. save your money for century of steam and if you really want a game now go get derail valley or railroader, both are excellent games.
was going for achievements using the the Unitah top tier loco on prelaid track the loco derails very easy on the curves as it dose not articulate enough in game. The game seems very incomplete for being out of early access kinda buggy with cars at higher speeds, kinda feels like creative mode is standard no story or objectives you freely place tracks, buildings, facilities, and props that don't cost a thing makes it very easy for people to exploit the game, only narrow gauge so none of the bigger steam locos can be used So lately the game feels dead devs finished the game and most likely moved on from this title and not adding workshop support/dev tools that would make the game more playable and replayable and ease the work stress load of the dev Stefan
задумка хорошая, но графика не очень, экономика странная, система строительства тоже странная, за 40 часов так и не научился строить дорогу в гору и высокие дороги
Janky but fun. The track laying is the most enjoyable part. Running the trains is pretty basic and not realistic.
