Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.14/day in the week to Aug 20 → 109.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
A WW1 action game built around fully destructible battlefields where chaos reigns supreme. Explosions tear through terrain, fortifications collapse, and the front line can change shape minute to minute.
Over The Top: WWI turns the grim setting of the Great War into a frantic playground of destruction where plans rarely ever survive first contact.
Charge as a rifleman, build as an engineer, clear trenches as a pyromaniac flamethrower specialist, or call in airstrikes as an officer. Each class has a clear job on the battlefield, plus plenty of room for improvisation. Choose from three factions: France, Britain, or Germany, each with eight distinct classes. Unlock new equipment and customization as you play.
A dynamic, destructive WW1 Sandbox: blow up everything, dig anywhere, reshape trenches, collapse buildings, destroy fortifications. Explosions leave permanent changes that affect sightlines, routes, and cover. Fight across multiple maps, playable in different seasons and daytimes. Use the full map editor to create and share your own battlegrounds.
Dive into massive 200-player battles! Drop into the middle of an epic war movie, packed with flying debris, collapsing trenches, charging tanks and objectives changing hands as the ground itself gets carved up - pure multiplayer madness awaits you.
Bring flamethrowers, poison gas, shovels, dynamite, artillery, airplanes, machine guns, and a lineup of vehicles and experimental tanks. Gear up with a mix of historical weapons, use a vast lineup of different vehicles, and other items: slap enemies with a baguette or play the bagpipe to boost morale! Have you ever driven a tank with 10 other players inside? In our game, you can do so!

Really not that bad. The thing I miss most is iron sights, but I like that you can dig, oven-savespots, and build some little bases.

Didn't like the feeling of the game during the free week-end, its a pass for me. While this game has a lot of potential and great mechanics, digging trenches, class system, build system. I find it very hard to enjoy. It is a game that aims to be a slightly goofy, chaotic ww1 Third person shooter. Right at the start, hit registry seem off, bugs are common, 200 players seems to be too much for the game or servers. Being a Third person shooter at core, the aiming doesn't use iron sight, and feels incredibly random. Balancing is also complicated, pistols seems extremely strong, while standard rifle damage is all over the place, games will be hits not kill , and others are going to be one shot kill almost all the time. Maps are big, but way too small for 200 players. The chaos involved with those tight confrontation zone around points remove a big part of the fun, especially combined with the laggy servers and inconsistencies. Maybe it was just the free week-end that messed up the servers, however i'll never buy this game by fear of buying a dead game, It aims to do 200 players servers, it is not even half a year in and there's barely anyone that plays it. 1 month ago, there wasn't even an average of 200 players we are at the end of the free week-end its at 600 worldwide, This game if it doesn't turn into a free to play experience, will experience the same player drop that Verdun and other type of game have lived through. To be fair at times this game feels like a beta testing. Needs some work to be more enjoyable.
Over The Top: WWI is a massive World War I shooter that is built around one thing I really enjoy in these games, complete chaos. I can jump into huge battles with up to 200 players, choose a class and fight across battlefields that can actually be destroyed and reshaped during the match. Trenches can be dug, buildings can collapse and explosions can completely change the ground around me. I like that because the battlefield does not stay exactly the same from beginning to end. The more the fighting goes on, the more the map can change. The class system gives me plenty of ways to play. There are three main factions and eight classes for each one, with roles including rifleman, engineer, flamethrower specialist and officer. I can also use artillery, aircraft, tanks and a large selection of weapons and equipment. I like having clear jobs because it gives me something useful to do beyond simply running towards the enemy and shooting. Playing as an engineer and changing the battlefield feels very different from using heavier weapons or calling in support. The destruction is easily my favourite feature. Watching a trench get blown apart or a building collapse while I am still fighting around it makes the battles feel much more unpredictable. Cover can disappear, routes can open up and positions that felt safe a few minutes earlier can suddenly become terrible places to stand. I think this is what gives Over The Top: WWI its own identity. It is not just putting World War I weapons into another multiplayer shooter. The environment itself is part of the fighting. There is also a good amount of ridiculous stuff mixed into the serious setting. Alongside rifles, machine guns, artillery, poison gas and tanks, I can use things like flamethrowers, shovels and dynamite, while some of the more unusual equipment includes a baguette and a bagpipe. I actually like this because it stops the game from taking itself too seriously. The overall setting still looks and feels like a brutal World War I battlefield, but there is enough silliness to make the huge battles feel like a sandbox rather than a strict historical simulation. The biggest weakness for me is that the scale can sometimes work against the actual gameplay. With so many players, explosions, vehicles and destructible objects happening at once, it can be difficult to tell what is actually going on. I can get killed from somewhere I did not even realise was occupied, or spend a while moving towards an objective only for the situation to completely change before I arrive. I think that unpredictability is part of the appeal, but it also means some deaths feel less satisfying because I did not really have much opportunity to react. I also think the game is at its best when I treat it as a large battlefield sandbox rather than expecting a highly controlled competitive shooter. The level editor and Steam Workshop add another nice layer because I can create and share battlefields instead of being limited to the standard maps. There is also single player and co op support, which gives me something to do outside the huge multiplayer battles. The game is still being actively updated as well, with recent changes including improvements to matchmaking and community server support. Overall, Over The Top: WWI is a really enjoyable war sandbox when I am in the mood for huge battles and complete destruction. I like the class system, enormous battles, vehicles, artillery and especially the fact that the battlefield itself can be destroyed and rebuilt while I am fighting. It is not always the most precise or controlled shooter, and the sheer amount of chaos can sometimes make the combat frustrating, but I think that is also a big part of its personality. For me, it has enough interesting ideas and enough freedom to stand out from a normal World War I shooter, even if it still has some rough edges. Rating: 8.4/10
