Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Jul 30 → 4.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So far 73 hours in.... For any FF fan that is a fan before the FF7 and beyond titles... This title definitely scratches the itch for those FF's that we always wanted during that time. We do not care about the super crazy FMV's and junk. We just want expanded gameplay and systems.
Game's story starts out rly meh but snowballs into a better and better story as you progress, the last section of the game being the best story out of any of the games imo
I really enjoyed the game, it was really fun to make your own character and be able to build a nice town. The story was overall good, but I kinda got tired at the Bestower of All part, as it was a bit too much repetition of the plot points. There are so many characters to choose from, you can make lots of great combos and I enjoyed the fact that you now had 8 characters actively (kinda) in your party. I would have liked more slots of passive, I feel that that is a weak point of the game, but maybe the devs thought you'd get to OP, but I want that in my JRPG. Could have been a later game thing you can unlock. I started by wanting to give this game a full positive review, but after writing everything above, I think a neutral review would work better. It is not a bad game, I did enjoy it, but some parts felt too tedious for me, even if I know that is a bit of an oxymoron when it comes to JRPGs.
It is a simple game that I can play quickly and easily, starting where I left off. No unnecessary side quest, just level up and grind.
Good game, but the lack of translation really drags it down. Come on Square Enix, you don't lack money and already have the UI from the previous games. Plus CotC has been out for ages, you had all the time in the world to translate it.
Octopath 1 : Good game Octopath 2 : Very good game Octopath 0 : MARVELOUS Octopath 0 is a downgrade in visuals and audio from 2, but it’s not 3, it’s a side game. Being a remake of the mobile octopath game using the first games aesthetic and it turned out fantastic. It feels like an alternate sequel in the way that it evolves the mechanics from the first game in a different direction than they went in 2, like it’s not only an alternate more extensive telling of the setting from 1 but also a different path for the gameplay. Game length has also reached absurd levels. But with a more connected story, Octopath 0 felt shorter than 2. I greatly enjoyed both stories but I liked 0's more.
Absolutely huge game with secrets galore, the combat system is a lot of fun (if a bit easy after a while) and the story is probably the most compelling of the three games for me.
