Having finished the game, it becomes grindy at a point but it's really fun to work on settlements without having to worry about so many variables as in Rimworld, and nice to take a break from combat to just build a new dormitory or replace walls with fancy new ones with so many terrain and wall types. Mods definitely improved my enjoyment of the game, like a flat movement speed bonus and the ability to level up traits, but these are probably just missing components from the intended gameplay because skill was still necessary and death still rather a persistent threat. Crafting mods were also necessary to be able to make things that ought to be more accessible, like crafting trinkets and being able to make bombs, even with an expensive recipe (but buying bombs from miners was also great, and I think also a mod). I got stuck at a point and I'm glad I came back to it, it's been a lot of fun. Settler management is not great but they're mostly autonomous and just need an okay bedroom and regularly crafted food, not nearly as rough and high maintenance as Rimworld. But initially my impression was Minecraft/Terraria meets Stardew Valley meets Rimworld. Movement speed upgrades are essential and I have a mod to straight up increase it, fights are still hard regardless but dodging becomes possible. The progression is actually okay, and there's a good few options for how to build a character, and early on you get the ability to change up item sets, and late game there can be good reasons to use them, though gathering trinkets for each build was a pain to keep having to make the same ones, though Explorer settlers made it easier. There are some encounters and things I haven't gotten, items and enemies I cannot find, and setting up fridges maybe takes too many resources and is not efficient, granted there's currently not electricity, but hey there's a mod for that too. I'm happy, unlike Rimworld, currently I have not seen any slavery mechanics. Food spoilage feels unnecessary, and in the case of unique meals it feels bad because the uncooked food lasts much longer, any meal with good buffs spoils very quickly.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The only thing this game get it right is NPC (settlers) system. Everything else are just kinda bland to me. I played Core keeper before and honestly, Necesse can't compete with that let alone Terraria. Several major updates are required, or should i say "necessary".
There is something to this game, something that makes it almost playable and enjoyable. However, whatever this something is, it gets smothered by the ugliness of the world, the clunkiness of the UI, which incidentally is also ugly, and the general miasmatic experience of navigating its nested systems. The pacing is also a major turn off, the game instantly offering you tons of things without preamble or build up. "Oh, here is a hut, here are your workstations, here is a dungeon, here are materials, congrats, you can build several tiers of things before the next major upgrade." Dear developers, have you ever went on a date? You cannot simply dump all of that on your players and say "let's have some fun *wink wink*". No, you need to build up romance, offer things little by little, have the world open up slowly instead of just thrusting your players in. It all takes my breath away, a feeling not unlike being asphyxiated by a particularly hideous rope. Shame, it could have been a fun game if only more polish and thought were applied to it.
テラリア、コアキーパーと比べて探索・戦闘が楽しくないと感じました

Probably one of my favorite games I've played. I played it with my husband and we had a great time. Wonderful game if one of you likes doing farming/decorating/management and the other enjoys fighting/exploring. I did a lot of both but had the most fun with building and managing my little settlement. Lots of automation options once you have villagers and a small farm set up for their food. I like that once you set up the rights on the boxes they will organize all of your stuff for you so there is no running around figuring out where everything goes. Just make a dump box and let them put everything away. The fighting was a little difficult for me because I'm not the best at dodging and I felt pretty squishy for a lot of the game but there are also difficulty settings that I didn't mess with that I probably could have to make it easier. The only downside was that as my settlement got larger and we got more items/villagers my husband had a lot of lag. I was hosting and didn't have any but he would lag any time we played for more than an hour or so. It would be fine at first and then start lagging so we'd have to restart to get rid of the lag. Not sure what's up with that. OH the fun secrets from other games were so cool! Secrets from other games that I also loved like Core Keeper and Valheim had me so excited when I randomly found them.
Having loved Minecraft, Terraria and Corekeeper, I really wanted to like this game too. Its something thats been on wishlist for a while and during the free weekend I decided to check it out. My two biggest complaints were there feels like nothing exciting/unique to explore in the overworld/caves, leading to the game getting stale and boring very quickly. Additionally, in the overworld/caves, enemies spawn in excesssive numbers where they swarm you, leaving you no time to actually do stuff, which became very frustrating fast. It has potential, but at that point, you might as well just go play Terraria, Corekeeper or Rimworld as it trys to be everything, but lacks the same refinement/charm to allow it to stand out.
