Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 322.75/day in the week to Jul 15 → 6.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Metal Gear Solid is a classic, and for good reason. It spawned (not counting Metal Gear 1 and 2) a series that has run for decades. It's basically like the video game version of an 80s stealth action movie. There is drama, romance, and surprising returns from near-death. The gameplay is simple compared to later games, but it works. The game is approachable, but still interesting. If you like stealth games or 80s cinema, you owe it to yourself to experience the first Metal Gear Solid game.
As a PS1 game its great, but as port of an almost 30 year old game it should have been alittle bit cheaper

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

had to solve controller connection issues for 20 mins, a codec message on how to beat a level glitched and didnt play for 10 so I was stuck just pirate it lmao, the game holds up surprisingly well even playing on original resolution in widescreen, it has moments where it feels like it was written by a redditor but the story and characters are great.
this game is SO good it holds up today better than most game and this game was made in 1998 so it is really impressive. the mechanics and ideas that were used here are so creative and fun i love it. i cant wait to play metal gear solid 2
it's a great game (although i only stopped on the DARPA Chief cell cause of the Free Trial i'll progress more when i get the game) i still recommend it a lot, i've played it before on a PS5 with my PHYSICAL copy of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 and i beat it there, but still i recommend it a lot
Spoko
рУкомендую 10/10
A certified classic that has aged relatively well considering it's a PS1 game, though some of the bosses have aged poorly and can be annoying at times. The ability to use an analog stick in this port alleviates some of this.
