Journey To The Savage Planet

TL;DR: Play for fun, not for completion. The game is a lot of fun and can be played coop, which I did. I played the game in the normal mode, finished the story and collected every collectible. That wasn't a problem, but then I saw the rest of the achievements. To get 100% achievements I have to play AGAIN in under 4 hours and AGAIN in "Old Game Minus" mode (the harder difficulty with limited lives) in singleplayer and AGAIN with the same difficulty in coop. Yeah no thank you, I'll pass. Reading the achievements at the end of the normal game kinda ruined my motivation for the DLC. The DLC was okay, but I speedran it. It somehow only took like an hour and I'm guessing collecting the collectibles would've taken another hour. THAT for 8 euros is BAD.

Ich schreibe eigentlich selten Rezensionen auf Steam, aber dieses Spiel hat definitiv eine verdient. Der Kauf war bei mir komplett zufällig – ohne große Erwartungen. Nach den ersten fünf Minuten lag ich schon lachend auf dem Boden. Der Humor ist herrlich stumpf, teilweise komplett absurd und das Spiel schafft es immer wieder, dich auf die eine oder andere Weise zu „ärgern“, was den Charme nur noch verstärkt. Dazu kommt ein simples, aber sehr motivierendes Upgrade-System, bei dem man ständig das Gefühl hat, Fortschritte zu machen. Die Grafik ist wirklich schön und stilvoll, ohne dass man dafür High-End-Hardware braucht – ein großer Pluspunkt. Die Spielwelt wirkt unglaublich lebendig. Überall gibt es etwas zu entdecken, kleine Details, versteckte Ecken oder neue Kreaturen. Dadurch kommt eigentlich nie Langeweile auf. Man merkt, dass hier viel Liebe zum Detail drinsteckt. Für mich gehört es definitiv zu den besten Spielen, die ich je gespielt habe. Ich liebe es wirklich. Den Nachfolger habe ich mir deshalb auch ohne eine Sekunde zu zögern gekauft – und auch das habe ich keine Sekunde bereut.

it's a fairly short game, but it's well done and holds up well after the many years since it's release. I enjoy it as a good multi-player game as well as solo.
