Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Aug 11 → 3/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very entertaining and polished Metroidvania with a wacky sense of humour and gorgeous cartoony graphics. Ratchet and Clank + Tim and Eric + open world = Revenge Of The Savage Planet. Everything has so much charm even down to the way your character moves and reacts to things happening in the environment. Run away from a monster and he will sprint like he is scared, walk through water and he walks like he doesn't want to get his shoes wet. You're basically a clumsy idiot who is in way over your head. There's also some very funny live action FMV cutscenes and fake ads on the TV at your base which the devs must have had a blast making. One thing which i think is just ok is the combat because you only get a laser pistol which you can upgrade but it would have been cool to unlock a bunch of different crazy weapons. It took me about 18 hours to finish and i did a lot of exploring. You could add another 2-3 hours on to that if you want to find absolutely everything.

Some mechanics are good -- I think the 3rd person, even if it is cartoonish, is not a bad thing. But, damn, does this thing get tedious. Exploration of this "savage world(s)" just feels like bits and pieces of America. You will grow tired of seeing minor variations of minor enemies. You'll have to enter rather dull "dungeons". You'll have to work through a clumsy way of capturing some of these animals. Rinse, lather and repeat. Fighting and shooting is fairly weak sauce and barely gets better after upgrades. Humor is relative, but, nothing about this really had me laugh out loud like the previous. And the tiresome story you have to plod through, about corporate garbage -- sounds like this was developed and driven by people who hate their office job. A mission has you being tortured by a CEO who -- who cares about -- and is simply there to annoy you. Great, office workers, you successfully translated your experience into a video game. It might be better with a friend, but, I have no one I would subject to this. The original is still one of the greatest values (when new) in recent gaming history. Grab it.
A more casual, somewhat easier version of the original Journey to the Savage Planet, with a shift to a 3rd-person perspective and updated gameplay/visuals to match. This time around, all achievements can be done in single-player, which is a welcome change - one full completionist playthrough of the game is enough to unlock all achievements, which took me just under 16 hours. The perspective change made it a bit easier on me for the traversal, whereby seeing the full character on screen allowed for a lot more ease when flinging them around the level with slides/jumps/grapples compared to the previous game. The humour is very 00's-10's, with a fair bit of "lol lmao" style dialogue and goofy animations, with the evil megacorp sending you into space and then firing you before you land, etc. The video messages are similar to the first game, with absurdist live-action blended with LSD-visual effects - not exactly thrilling viewing, but it gets the minimal story across and you can get back to exploration.
It keeps true to its spirit from the original game, it really is just casual fun without taking anything too seriously and going to the extremes to show how absurd things can become, making a funny dystopian concept comparison for the lolz. Game is fun, everything around it is built for the laughs, while the mechanics are solid, responsive and you can even work your way around it to reach items you'd normally need upgrades to reach (and the bot tells you so haha). Overall casual fun that you can enjoy 100% in SP or CO-OP, and the ending song..... a lulz banger haha One fair note on the DLC, it really adds little to nothing.... but it does have some achievements tied to it

I couldn't get behind the humor of the game. Simple gameplay is fun I suppose but it just wasn't for us, after about an hour and a half of gameplay we just didn't bother with it anymore. Shame, cause it really doesn't seem that bad but I feel a younger audience would appreciate it more, maybe the first game is better?
played the first game before diving into this one and immediately was hooked, the silliness of this game mixed with mechanics and graphics you expect from a bigger studio are just what we need in todays gaming world.
